[Q] Sprint Note 2,Android 4.3 Rom, Galaxy Gear - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

This may be too early still. However will Galaxy gear work with a 4.3 Rom? Additionally will Sprint/play store let me download the necessary Gear apps if they haven't released the 4.3 upgrade yet. I.e. do they block it by phone model?

I can tell you that the play store will not let you download apps that are not compatible with your device. I did some research and I want to say I did not see Note 2 compatibility with the Galaxy Gear because of the Android Version or some other feature. I could be wrong though.

in Samsung's Gear presentation they note the Note 2 as being a compatible device but that probably won't be until the update were supposed to receive soon.

[Request][Port] Galaxy note Premium Suite applications

Developers can you please port the premium suite applications available in the Galaxy Note such as S Memo and S Note. It would be an awesome feature in our Galaxy S3. Please.

But the Premium suite S memo from the Galaxy Note have a lot of other special features available other than our galaxy S3 S memo.
"Premium" suggests that you pay a premium to get the note with advanced features. Therefore there may be legal issues surrounding porting that.
Reads as a Samsung update for large screen products .

It's not a paid app but it was included in the update of Galaxy Note to ICS. The features of the apps were increased in the update. So I think it won't be illegal in porting the apps.
friends found this while surfing around in the Galaxy Note forum

This is the premium suite app from the Galaxy Note and it works in our S3 on a normal install without root. But some work has to be done in adjusting the resolution so that it looks perfect on our S3.
Can anyone confirm that the premium suite does indeed work well on the S III? I have the AT&T Note and use the upgraded S Note app and S Memo app everyday. Especially "formula match" which is part of the productivity tools in the updated S Note app. It connects to Wolfram Alpha to show the different solutions to whatever equation or science problem you hand write. I'm thinking of moving to the S III but cant if it doesn't support these apps which Ive become dependent on. Thanks.

yes, thanks for the news, we need more good news for our new note!
It's not new, or old, but rather misinformation and common sense... the Galaxy Nexus will of course get 4.2 because it's a Nexus device, which means Google supports it (not Samsung). And since Samsung does the software for the Note II and Google does the software for the Galaxy Nexus, there's no reason to think the Note II will get 4.2... heck, we don't even know that we'll get multiview yet much less 4.2...
Oh, and the S3 for T-Mobile *just* got the 4.1 update...
I had the 4.2 on my nexus I took it back off and went back to root and put sorcery's 4.1.2 and gapps latest. So much better, well that's my opinion anyhow!!

Note 2 not getting 4.2? Samsung doesnt make software for galaxy nexus? Im confused about everything in this post. Also LG is making the nexus now. I don't understand why you dont think the nite 2 wont get 4.2. After all theyve sold I think like 3.5 million of them to date. But what you said IS scientifically true. There is NO 100 percent data at this moment to support the note 2 getting any update. But that just may be because nothing has been announced. Or worked on for that matter.Thats all.
However I personally do think we will get an update to 4.2 just because of the amount of devices sold. And I also believe that we will not see multiview officially until that update....thats my personal prediction! Hold the dogs back!

Gentlemen, that will be enough...if need be step away, and move on...

Is it possible that Samsung won't update non yakju/takju devices?

Hi, as we know that non yakju/takju devices are updated by Samsung and also these devices haven't still got the 4.1.2 update.. So is there any chance that Samsung may discontinue updating galaxy Nexus to increase sales of their new products?
Probably yes. Samsung has interest on keep their own phones as the top sellers, so they don't care about Galaxy Nexus.

New TouchWiz update for Note 3?

So assuming the photos of a supposedly updated touchwiz are real what are the chances note 3, or s4 customers will get it?
Ofc Samsung might want to include it in newer devices to increase sales... But with the lack of updates we receive it would kinda be a shaft to those of us who already purchased a monster Samsung device.
