Hey guys, loving my P6, but having come from a Nexus 4 it feels slower. At least until we get some custom ROMs.
Most of you guys prob already know how to do this, but for the others, here is a quick tip to make the navigating feel much faster.
1. Enable developer mode on your phone.
2. Go into developer options and change the following option from 1 to .5
Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
And Animator duration scale
Your navigation should feel so much quicker.
I'm also using nova launcher, but this should work with anything.
Do you guys have anymore tips to make the phone feel faster? Share.

Adam

Its snappiest when power manager is kept at normal.
Where can i find the developer options ?
Go to settings.
Then About Phone
Then scroll down to the build version and keep clicking on it until it says you are a developer.
Once this is done, developer options will show in settings.

While we are talking about making p6 snappy., i think setting the it either normal, smart or endurance does NOT matter. I find them similar in performance.

Maybe this is to fix how it looks on LCDs.. It always looked a bit awkward on my Xperia Play, you could see the screen turn off after the animation, made it look unnatural.

Most likely, being that the latest nexus is no longer amoled
I can confirm this on my i9250. It did this same thing on my G2x on all the CM-based custom ROMs I used as well.

Normally.. I did the same of the post, with solid explorer i opened the build.prop and paste these lines at the end and saved. Then I rebooted and now the ui is very smoother. And there's other fix that I loved, the mod eliminated boring delay to keypad to calls.
Make sure to save the file before reboot

That's great in theory but you get misaligned themes then that look ugly / don't work properly. I'm watching the app but until they can support full screen I won't be using it.

Yes, it actually does. I'm using CM10.2 NIGHTLY, and it works fine. Plus, many other people with custom roms say it works. If you're on a Nexus 4, or any other device with no hardware keys and just soft keys, make sure that soft keys are ENABLED. (if this STILL doesn't work, I think it must be that it only works with AOSP roms)

You pointed out the reason why they don't support custom nav bar height / expanded desktop: how can they possibly align the themes if there are thousands of space configurations for the same device? Supporting the stock configuration seems like the most logical and reasonable choice.

This is only a Beta app and this kind of support has to come or it will ale off massively imo.
I was using Buzz Launcher until recently and that handles many screen sizes / configurations without issue. I feel in time Themer can achieve or even surpass this level.

Found this app while browsing in personalization category in playsore, both apps are FREE and they're really smooth, customizable and cristal clear, I saw many people trying to port other devices lockscreens to the Nexus 4 but failed, download it while you can before Google take it down from the play store
Don't forget to press thanks if this helped you in any way, thanks in advance!
Note 12/22/13: In order to remove the lockscreen delay move this app from user app to system app, it'll still have a little delay if you lock and unlock too fast (1 second lock)
You can move an user app to system with this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lockscreen.galaxy
Note: This app asked me for root and I granted it, I don't know if it can be used without root.
All credits goes to the developer of this application andev888.

I was wondering if developers in XDA will be able to port those lockscreens into default lockscreens in their ROMs, or maybe they could look at the apk and figure how to make more lockscreens with other effects, like Xperia Z and so on(?)

Custom wallpaper is being used currently on my N4
While in background these apps use ~25 Mb memory. While unlocking it goes up to 60Mb which I think is quite obvious. Not a big thing to worry about as those other devices out there use way to much than this. Also there are no music controls idk if those are provided with OEM devices or not. But good thing is, we still have expandable status bar while in lock screen and can be used to control music.
Edit : One problem seems to be that we cannot use kill all button in recents menu, it kills the custom lock screen process.
