Hello guys! Just a review from Samsung Galaxy Y's awesome new rom. The better Hyperion 8.
Some of us have found some bug. The main bug that being talk all over is the NETWORK and IMEI.
I'm on Philippines so i tried the DXLL1 Firmware by Doky (stock) then i follow the instructions on Hyperion 8 thread and voila! My IMEI and NETWORK (also WIFI) has been fix. So i suggest guys to go to the latest firmware on your country then follow exactly the instructions and flash the new ramdisk with RIL as mentioned by SirCarl from his buglist.

Link of kernel with ramdisk please.
ram consumption maybe solve by flashing any tweaks like pureperformance x.. I tried flashed it on mini rom and ram consumption is better and my phone is very smOoth and fast..

Brightness toggle bug
To whatever value, we have set the brightness, if we just hold the status bar for 2-3 secs, and leave, brightness becomes full.

There is a brightness slider in status bar. It's only hidden. Try to move your finger from left to right you will realize the brightness is increasing )

Bro i hav flashed hyperion rom and to enable imei flashed savies kernel #2 . But the wifi still aint working and my cell doesnt receive normal calls or meassages. Is the kernel the problem ? What should i do plz help :-\:-\
If the kernel is the problem please do provide a link for the change and temme how to flash it

Then try any kernel you want i.e. Hell's Kernel or jarvis or anything you want.

I finally settled with kuroz#15 amd it works like a charm
Wifi bug exists and would like u tl recommend something for that.
Also m a newbie just 3 months android old so yes very keen to learn and wont stop doing so

Hey bro.. find dhd-1.1, 1.0 or dhd-stock. This helps to fix my wifi. Or if not
Download root explorer then follow this :
Goto /system/etc/wifi.
Find wifi supplicant (correct if wrong) and set permissions to rw-x-x. Also the wifi folder set to rwxrwxrwx or check all box.
Then reboot device.

The Hyperion 8 FINAL was awesome :good:
but i have a problem , after flashing this rom the battery of my SGY was constantly consuming even if I'm not using my SGY. Why sir? Thanks for your quick response sir!

Okay guys! My flash succeeded but after that when i rebooted the system i got a bootanimation loop(of my custom bootanimation) and then i had to remove the battery to stop it. Then went to my recovery(CWM) and restored my nanddroid backup.
Im uploading the rom in media fire and link will be posted in half an hour!!!

OTA Service:
So yes you can update rom via OTA updates. when an update comes out you recive a notification from "Ota Updater" app noticing you that updates are available. you can select wipes that you need (Data, Cache), but you will need only cache keeping data without restore with titanium ecc. I'm using RuffDroid 4.0 right now and seems pretty smooth and stable but I'm also a bit of a gamer so I wanted to try this ROM. But I didn't know how the performance of the kernel would be with the GPU over clocked that high. :/

so with rufdroid 0.4 you can mod the clock of cpu with daemon_oc instruction (just edit a file). i think 384 is enough but there are some weight games. this is the reason of this rom. btw wait for next release of Gear Second based on rufdroid 0.4. that will be very stable btw this also include some scripts for battery and performance
P.S. kernel at 512 is a stable release so don't worry it's a great man that morfic
Well I'm very excited for the new gamer version. I want power. Don't care too Mich about battery but speed, power and very fast graphics and games is a huge plus. Keep up the work. Anticipating the new ROM.

Hello All,
We all know that we already have enough ROMs and PORTs available for our WFS. We have very stable CM9 and MIUIv4. Also we have nearly stable CM10 but we haven't got any MIUI Jelly Bean port. So I decided to give a try.
Finally I have got working MIUI JB port. Thanks to all those who helped me [Credits at end of the post].
I am still working on this port and not being developer I am still facing some issues in this port. Though it's working its not advised to use it as daily driver. Use this ROM for test purpose only.
There are some bugs and may get some more. So please have patience. Tester's feedback are always welcomed.
I am not a full time developer. So I may or may not be able provide regular updates/fixes. Feel free to use this ROM for any improvements.
This is plain ported ROM. With no tweaks, add-on etc. Use them as per your taste. I have used this ROM more than one week hardly with any issues. Though I never play any videos or record one using phone. Also I rarely use GPS. So I didn't tested these features.

Flash this for xperia keyboard fix http://goo.gl/TfA5D. If flash failed then push the contents using file explorer.
I'll try to include french support during weekend.
Please add German language too.

I can flash the zip but the keyboard still FC sometimes :-/ Maybe a lib is still missing ?

Thank you. Do give feedback. Also keep in mind that this ROM totally plain port. It doesn't have any tweaks or add-ons. Basic Gapps included. Use No-Frills to overclock CPU.
Mobile Data is working for me it just says downloaded 0Kbs but does not work

Ok! all's cool, its fast, had those reboots in the beginning, all's well now,, though I am having trouble with the mobile network bit... it connects and disconect....
btw u r using the kernel version-- [email protected]
I also had the data problem in the nightly builds of dudeman1996 who uses the same kernel.. if u can u could try the kernel that benjamingwyn uses in his cm10, its a bit different(by name other than that I know nothing about kernels) i think, but i get the internet working in that version of jellybean so there is something there....

Try using benjamingwyn's cm10 as base rom.... that would be easier and faster maybe.. because i tried to get a flashable kernel of his cm10 and i cudn't find it.... using bens cm10 as base gives u the kernel and the stability it now has.. i am using that version of cm10 as my daily driver....
Also for other users a sugestion, for video recording try using video illusion frm market.. it records video and is a good replacement to the default one at the moment...

You have created a master piece amd left it to be lost in the forum by not supporting it.. i knw you have a life and its your wish to work on anything you want,, but atleast tell us about your plans,,,,
If the development's on hold then you change the thread heading... we have been expecting to hear frm your side for so long now... you seemed very polite and you kindly replied to me...
So, it is my request to you to, atleast inform us abt the progress you have made on this rom since the last release. And if you don't then this thread shud be removed by the moderator, without anymore delay.....

Be patient I tried porting latest MIUI but there too many bootloops. So now I am only working on languages. Also Oliver has released a new CM10 with working camcorder and videos. I'll use that as base if it actually works smooth.

i dont beleive there is a need for screenshots its basicly a stock rom with my many back door tweaks
it took me a while
about 5 days of 8 hours a day
just giving this a try for a while - seems quite nice
just a query, if i was to not like the default font, how would i change it back to something a little more usual...
in any case thanks for contributing...

You have tones of fonts there and they are in flashable zip files.

- focus has been improved (now accurate to 1mm unlike stock 5-35mm)
- Image size has been reduced (a tiny bit)
- tweaks bps, mps (more size stuffs)

- added 2 extra focal modes with principles
- and some other things i cant remember

i will be adding more things to B3, i suggest that you try not to judge as there is barley anything added to this rom at the moment

Tried to flash your ROM: falls into bootloop, not mather what kernel I use.

Install the framework first.

My phone has improved performance after installing seeder and sd speed increase...much smoother and faster...
Killjoy script is also awesome..but I had some bugs....player pro didnt start and music speed up ...and some freezing screen some of the time...will come later to that script when new version comes out

I've had good experience with Crossbreeder on this phone before. I just tried the Operation Killjoy; does anyone feel the phone lags a lot for the first minute or two? Didn't happen before, smooth as silk afterwards. Just wondered does anyone experience the same thing with Killjoy.
