I was wondering of there was any guides to replace a speaker on the N7 as one of mine has gone or would it be better to send it to RMA.
There is a teardown (including the speakers) here:

But it looks like chances are pretty high that you will damage the back cover when disassembling it.

While attempting to change the faceplates on my new HTC-touch ...
I broke the contact off of the earpiece speaker.
Is there a source for a replacement? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day.

I would assume its just a normal speaker. Take mesurements of it and try a electronics store online. I'm sure they will have a replacement. Other wise check ebay for broken/repair PDA's you can strip.
Broken HTC-Touch/Elf speaker
HELP!!!
Can anyone recommend a replacement speaker for the broken earpiece speaker in my HTC-Touch/Elf speaker?
I have attached a pic for reference.
HELP!!!
I replaced the broken speaker on my 8525 on Saturday with this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Y220-Int-Ringto...eZWD1VQQtrksidZp1638.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem
Not sure if that will fit the tough, but it looks similar.
So I recently fixed my one m8 screen which went well. Unfortunately during the process I ruined the top speaker.
Today I got a replacement but it's **** and sounds terrible, it functions at low volumes but distorts badly after medium volume.
My question is do you guys know any links to good replacements?
Also would it be possible to remove the speaker from the bottom speaker housing and put it in the top?
Cause ifixit only sells the bottom speaker, and i'd trust that speaker more than random ebay ones.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Everyone, Anyone with feedback on my issue or suggestions please comment-
After I cracked my glass I ordered a replacement screen/LCD/Frame single piece through amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRWBNH6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After performing the repair I have no sound from earpiece speaker and distortion from the loud speaker at the bottom of the phone. So I figured I must have damaged the speaker during the part transfer from old unit to new. So I ordered a new speaker. Speaker came today and after replacing the speaker I get the same sound from bottom and none from top.
I have searched and seems mostly iPhone post on the web with a similar issue. After calling local repair shops in MD/DC area, I do not have confidence that any of the ones I called know what to do.
Input is appreciated, I just bought this phone on craigslist and now its got a new screen but with no sound its junk!
Thanks
Hi, so, just spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post on this site. (Although having posted before -_-)
Anyway, I recently got ahold of a BlackPhone 2, a phone that for some reason has a high value, but low interest. The problem it has is related to the speaker, the loudspeaker sounds muffled as if it had drowned in water. I looked online and couldn't find a replacement anywhere, there were hardly any videos of disassembling the phone nor any threads with pictures. So once the phone came to me (bought through eBay) I couldn't help but think it was Xperia inspired. The shape, materials, etc... With no help from the internet, I decided to disassemble the phone myself, it was easy, exactly like an Xperia...
Now I've found the speaker, exactly like an Xperia.... it's basically a small rectangular component with two pins sticking out on one side, they make contact with the smaller board on the bottom of the phone. I couldn't find a replacement part for this online, so I'm now wondering whether or not I could use another speaker with two pins in the same location? Such as an Xperia replacement part?
Thanks for any replies!
Hi
I just replaced the battery on my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone. After the battery replacement people calling me (regular phone calls) complaints about hearing an echo of their selves. I'm able to fix this by removing the back glass cover (the one that is glued on) but as soon as I put the back glass cover back people calling me hear them selves again. So I'm not sure if I have broken anything on the back cover itself when I replaced the battery or if I have broken anything related to the speaker or mic here? If I put people on speaker there is no echo, and if I use bluetooth headset everything is working fine as well.
I'm guessing this is hardware related so the question is which hardware component I should replace here?
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Seems some kind of crosstalk related to mic or antenna. You shouldn't have reapired by yourself.
So a replacement of the antenna and charging coil module could potentially fix this? If so I think that is a bit odd since both wireless charging and antenna coverage seems to be OK. Also, as I've mentioned there are no echo if I remove the back cover.

rather presumptuous of you to say that they shouldnt have repaired it themselves.

many of the mics ive seen while doing the many repairs ive done have little rubber footings or adhesive foam rubber isolation material around or on them, did you get all of the stuff put back where its supposed to go?
I took another look at the rubber footing of the mic that you mentioned. I also noticed the little "rubber net thing" on right hand side of the mic seems a bit melted - not sure if this could play any part?
Again, what is really puzzling is that the error occurs only after I've firmly put some pressure on the back cover after mounting it (so that it is glued back on). If I loosely put it on people don't hear the echo of them selves.
Any idea?
ps. I've got some pictures of the inside of the phone but since I'm new to this forum I'm not able to post pictures yet. Please let me know if there are any other methods of sharing the photos and I'll be glad to share.
