Has anyone a good and working live tv app?
I would love to try tv.com but since I live in Germany I can't get it over the market...
Also I guess it is ip bound so that even if I had it I wouldn't be able to watch US tv...
Can anyone confirm that?
You can try downloading it using My Market.
why don't you try "FLASH TV" from the market?
Thanks for your replies...
I tried to find it on my market... didn't succeed... Are there any options I have to change?
flsh.tv doesn't have the channels I want... Most of the featured channels are not worth watching. I'm looking for the regular US TV channels...
Edit:
Found tv.com app on my market now... But it doesn't seem to download the app... "Your app will be downloaded" But nothing happens...
Any suggestions?

Hi.
I am based overseas and I know there are restrictions placed on video streaming outside of US. If there are some ways to bypass this restriction, please share .... thanks
Not sure, but I'd say VPN, but it's more trouble and costly than it's worth. And I always feel like the VPN servers are snooping at what I'm doing. :-D
I live in Japan and Unblock-us works great for me, we watch netflix, amazon videos, etc, very easy to set up and it works perfectly on Kindle fire.

Register on unblock-us for a one week trial, change your DNS with the ones provided and then, if you thinks it's worth it, pay for an annual subscribtion ( as I did ). And honestly is worth every single cent, since I can also stream HD videos on my PS3 ( using the Netflix app ) with no glitches or interruptions.

Hi! Like Stocaprimo said, you can try the service for free first, just go to their website, unblock-us. I tried for maybe 15 minutes just to see if it really worked and was very happy with it, I could watch Netflix on apple tv for the first time and on kindle fire too and it's only five dollars a month, I changed the DNS on my router (netgear)with the one they provided and now all the computers and tablets plus iPads work great, it's like we were back in the US. Hope it works for you.
Alternative Options for video streaming of U.S. channels outside U.S.

I was facing similar problem as I am a big fan of US netflix but when I moved to sweden, was missing it. Then I tried various options to get access and thank God an expert suggested me unotelly. It is a DNS service, now I can get access to netflix, hulu and rest of the popular US channels without any glitch. try their free 7 days version and you will love it for sure. If you need any help, just let me know I will assist you to install it.
Based on a thread from this forum, I managed to extract BBC iPlayer from amazon.co.uk registered FireTV. I then sideloaded it to my amazon.com registered. The iPlayer app appears under the app section. When I run the app, I get the following error :
"App not Owned.
You do not own this app. Would you like to see more details?"
If I click yes, I am sent to a window that says the app is not found.
If I leave the error on the TV for a few minutes, I get the following error:
"Authorization Expired
The time to authorize the user has expired"
Any ideas what this is?

Why not just download it from Amazon? Or are you using it out of the UK? If so if you use Kodi I'm pretty sure you can use on there, I know they have an add on for im but I'm from England so I have no problem using or downloading the BBC iplayer.

Can't download it as my box uses amazon in US. It there a way for me to buy the app in amazon.co.uk and then have it transferred over to my account is amazon.com?

Don't think there is mate? Maybe one of the other forum members in the US could help? Sure you could use the bbc iplayer on kodi? Or another add on for that perhaps?

Never got iPlayer to work but got access to some apps by adding a yen giftcard to account and removing my UK credit card. I've since cancelled my Amazon Prime account anyway so have switched back to UK account and thus a working iPlayer.
EDIT: I used the iPlayer addon in Kodi as an alternative for a while.
Sorry I can't be of any more help.
Have you tried changing your Amazon account region to UK, getting the app from amazon.co.uk an then turning the account back to your original region?
iplayer works fine.
Firstly - install the app 'properly' - no need for this sideloading process.
https://playmo.tv/2017/03/how-to-install-apps-from-different-regions-on-the-amazon-fire-tv/
I found after step 4 you have to log out of your amazon account (say amazon.com) and log into amazon.co.uk (your login details will work over all the amazon.*.* sites).
Then search for the app and push it out to your Fire TV device.
You will also need to use a geo-unblocker to make the app/fire TV think you are in the UK or the app wont work.
Say unlocator.com - but just google 'smart dns' or 'geounblocker'.
Looking for this free app https://www.amazon.com/Gaana-Bollywood-Music-Radio-Fire/dp/B06XWVS54P or https://www.amazon.in/Gaana-Bollywood-Music-Radio-Fire/dp/B06XWVS54P
Most likely available only to Indian customers. I am not able to download this on my fire tv, as its registered to a US address.
Thanks in advance if someone decides to help

I have a VPN so I can try to get it, I only ask that you check the app store version your Fire TV is running, and possibly upload or post a link to it. I at least need the version number though if you please...

http://www.amazon.in/Hotstar-TV-Movies-Live-Cricket/dp/B06Y18MPK7 also if possible. Or if someone can simply tell me how to download it myself
I have downloaded it on my stick. But how to extract it? I will upload it to google drive.

The apps require Amazon Appstore linking. I tried logging in to appstore, still doesn't work.
Does anyone have those app without Amazon linking.

Two things:
1) You need to install the Amazon Appstore app on your device
2) Purchase the app (yes I know it is free) through the desktop Amazon website. This will then tell Amazon's servers that you own the ability to use the app.
The Amazon Fire TV apps use license verification with the AppStore servers to verify that you have rights to use the app.

Hi,
The reason i asked for apk is because i cant download it directly from amazon appstore due to the geo restriction. Even with vpn it still failed hence i wanted to sideload with the extracted apk. Im sorry i kinda noob an new about this but all other sideloaded apk works fine except this.

I get that you are in a geo-restricted area. Unfortunately, Amazon makes it a bit more difficult to get Fire TV apps working correctly outside of Fire devices as is... and being geo-restricted doesn't help. :-/
I own a shield, which is why I responded in this thread, and I had been looking for an updated USA Network app myself.
There are technically ways to remove license verification, but I believe that type of discussion is frowned upon on XDA due to piracy concerns.
That said, I tried the apk myself as I own the app in my Amazon account. It doesn't go past the animated splash screen. There is probably more that needs to be fixed for it to work correctly.
