Has anyone a good and working live tv app?
I would love to try tv.com but since I live in Germany I can't get it over the market...
Also I guess it is ip bound so that even if I had it I wouldn't be able to watch US tv...
Can anyone confirm that?
You can try downloading it using My Market.
why don't you try "FLASH TV" from the market?
Thanks for your replies...
I tried to find it on my market... didn't succeed... Are there any options I have to change?
flsh.tv doesn't have the channels I want... Most of the featured channels are not worth watching. I'm looking for the regular US TV channels...
Edit:
Found tv.com app on my market now... But it doesn't seem to download the app... "Your app will be downloaded" But nothing happens...
Any suggestions?

You're right
While trying to install it from the website version of the market to my phone, it says "This item is not available for your carrier"
So, an APK would be nice ^^
Edit : thx FlanFlinger
Edit again : installed, but in the app when looking for a video : "BBC player is only available within the United Kingdom" :|
Needs the ability for streaming over 3G but it's about time they did, May keep myplayer (older version) for the time being till it's updated more. But the UI is alot cleaner and nicer to use.

Nope, not yet anyway... seems to be iDevice exclusive, at least for now.

if I recall correctly, the Watch ESPN app is for watching ESPN3 content, which streams a lot more than the ESPN stream on Sprint TV
Watch Espn
It was up for about a week earlier in may (I had it on an atrix), but it appears to have been removed (I had to re-flash, and didn't back it up)... The application was a bit buggy, it would force close when trying to change the channel and the colors would come in off (like watching an old, 1980's style 3-D movie without the glasses), so i'm guessing that they're looking to re-tool it
It looks like it's back. At least this morning it was available for download, but unfortunately I don't meet the qualifying standards to stream anything (Fios, Comcast, etc.)
I hesitate to ask, bc I don't know what XDA considers legit or not anymore, but does anyone have a way to hack this app? If that's illegal, and some of you policing this stuff feel like going nuts on me, hold back, and just say it's not going to be done here.
But, if like the Netflix hacks, the Hulu hacks, the old NFL mobile hack, and every other thing XDA allows that screws a company out there, then jump on this bandwagon, and lets get everyone using this app for free!
I like the idea of this app but like everything else with ESPN you have to talk to your cable service provider... Y not just let me pay for the app and use it What does my cable service have to do with my cell phone... Damn you ESPN
Gonna have to look into this
anyone ever figure this out. It would be great to be able to do this!

Hi.
I am based overseas and I know there are restrictions placed on video streaming outside of US. If there are some ways to bypass this restriction, please share .... thanks
Not sure, but I'd say VPN, but it's more trouble and costly than it's worth. And I always feel like the VPN servers are snooping at what I'm doing. :-D
I live in Japan and Unblock-us works great for me, we watch netflix, amazon videos, etc, very easy to set up and it works perfectly on Kindle fire.

Register on unblock-us for a one week trial, change your DNS with the ones provided and then, if you thinks it's worth it, pay for an annual subscribtion ( as I did ). And honestly is worth every single cent, since I can also stream HD videos on my PS3 ( using the Netflix app ) with no glitches or interruptions.

Hi! Like Stocaprimo said, you can try the service for free first, just go to their website, unblock-us. I tried for maybe 15 minutes just to see if it really worked and was very happy with it, I could watch Netflix on apple tv for the first time and on kindle fire too and it's only five dollars a month, I changed the DNS on my router (netgear)with the one they provided and now all the computers and tablets plus iPads work great, it's like we were back in the US. Hope it works for you.

I was facing similar problem as I am a big fan of US netflix but when I moved to sweden, was missing it. Then I tried various options to get access and thank God an expert suggested me unotelly. It is a DNS service, now I can get access to netflix, hulu and rest of the popular US channels without any glitch. try their free 7 days version and you will love it for sure. If you need any help, just let me know I will assist you to install it.
Looking for this free app https://www.amazon.com/Gaana-Bollywood-Music-Radio-Fire/dp/B06XWVS54P or https://www.amazon.in/Gaana-Bollywood-Music-Radio-Fire/dp/B06XWVS54P
Most likely available only to Indian customers. I am not able to download this on my fire tv, as its registered to a US address.
Thanks in advance if someone decides to help

I have a VPN so I can try to get it, I only ask that you check the app store version your Fire TV is running, and possibly upload or post a link to it. I at least need the version number though if you please...

Not sure what you mean by that. I'm running AFTV1 Fire OS 5.2.4.1 (5.7.3-20)
http://www.amazon.in/Hotstar-TV-Movies-Live-Cricket/dp/B06Y18MPK7 also if possible. Or if someone can simply tell me how to download it myself
I have downloaded it on my stick. But how to extract it? I will upload it to google drive.

Have you tried backing up the app using ES file explorer or some other similar application?
For everyone who wants those India specific apps line Gaana, Airtel Movies, Voot, Ditto, Zee tv and other, here are all those. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10-w6rXffmKpfYbfgb8_4zyCP-wcvZxs6?usp=sharing
Can you please share ALTBalaji APK also if possible?
Trying to use Gaana in the US I get 'app is not owned' error. Any way around that? Thanks!
Pravinvibhute, please upload the updated version of these apps. I am so grateful to you. For your kindness, I can use these apps, in my xiaomi mi box 3 android tv.

The apps require Amazon Appstore linking. I tried logging in to appstore, still doesn't work.
Does anyone have those app without Amazon linking.
Hi guys -
I am switching back and forth between my old Nexus TV and Fire TV because ZDF or ARD apps aren't available in the Amazon US region.
The stuff that comes up when googling is fake, not for Amazon devices and requires Google Play services.
If anyone could make the APKs available I'd be most grateful.
Thanks!
Might be pointless. I could imagine there is a regio block...just my two cents..
Try a vpn that simulates Germany as your location.. It's worth a try..

Wow, You're the best rainman!
So ZDF (most important...) seems to work just fine.
ARD aborts with an error "You don't own this app", which kind of sucks, but oh well... I guess I'm going to watch more Heute than Tagesschau
Region-lock - The apps and programming is available in the Google App store and runs just fine on the Nexus Player (or in web browsers). It looks all good besides some Amazon nonsense enforcing ownership of the free ARD app. Does anyone know an easy hack-around? No big deal if not...
Cheers!
Perhaps you could simply buy this app via German-VPN-Server, e.g. Frankfurt ?

Yeah, already tried VPN. It depends on where the amazon account is registered and all hell broke lose when I switched to D.
Anyway, just found a solution.... Amazon seem to have released the Silk browser for Fire TV and I am now simply using the web site. Works great.
