I am mystified and frustrated. How the heck does this work? Instructions say to "swipe all the way to the left on the lockscreen." Swiping to the left does nothing. Anyone?
Oh, if it matters, my One is non-rooted, non-S-off, stock.
EDIT: Never mind, figured it out. You have to use the Widget lockscreen. If only you could get rid of the HTC clock/weather thing at the bottom...

I searched some but could not find. I've been using LauncherPro so I'm kind of new to ADW and I've got two questions:
1) With the app drawer open, I made the icon to launch my app drawer disappear after I returned to the homescreen. How do I get it to re-appear? I know it had something to do with the arrows but I can't make it come back for the life of me.
2) Is there a way to keep the wallpaper from moving as I slide homescreens? That option is available in LauncherPro but I can't find it in ADW. If not, then is there a way to customize what part of my wallpaper appears on each homescreen?
I like the fact that ADW has themes. That's why I want to try and stick with it but I don't feel like I've mastered it at all yet. If there's a tutorial you could point out, that would help.
Thanks.
1) Put your finger in the area where your launcher icon should be and swipe down. Swiping up hides it.
Don't know about number 2

thanks, that worked. I could've sworn I tried that before, but oh well.
So I like the TouchWiz lock screen, how when I have an unread text, I can slide down and it goes to it.
My issue is sliding up to unlock, my hand isnt that big so its a stretch to get to the top of the screen. Is there any way to alter it so I can slide left and right instead of up and down. I like the Vanilla Froyo lock screen, but could care less about being able to slide right for vibrate. Maybe there is a way to remove that and add slide right for SMS inbox or unread SMS?
Assuming I understand your request, Widgetlocker does this. It's not free, I think it's like two bucks or something. Definitely worth it.
Widgetlocker gives you a new lockscreen that you can use instead of, or in conjunction with the android lockscreen. You can make custom sliders for it that do whatever you want them to or even get rid of the sliders altogether. You can also put homescreen widgets on your lockscreen.
It's awfully cool.
I was reading about it, just was hoping it was simple to write something or change a value from vertical to horizontal or something like that.
Basically I want the stock samsung lock screen just sliding left and right
Look in. the aosp lock screen thread for dk28, the post by raiderep is the final version, the o under two have minor issues

Okay so I just rooted my G2 with CM6 and I am missing only one thing. I loved the small 1x1 trashcan drop that came with the stock G2 rom. I don't know how anyone else feels about this, but anyway am I just missing something? I have scoured the UI customizations and cannot find any way to move the trashcan away from the left side on landscape, or top in portrait. I like to do alot with my keyboard open and it makes it hard to drag icons over to the next screen. Anyway just a rant unless anyone has a solution it would be nifty.

CM6+ comes with ADW launcher as default, and that is how that home replacement app is set up. If you install another home replacement app, (I recommend LauncherPro) you will have the option to switch next time you hit the home button. Each launcher app is set up a little differently so you will have to find one that fits your tastes or find the stock launcher.
and I think this is supposed to go in Q&A..
LauncherPro
Cool, thanks guys! Solved.
Hi,
I'm trying to get DashClock on my lock screen. I only have it as swipe, but I'm just not seeing a way to do it in the settings.
I'm also trying to get rid of the recommended apps that show in the notification bar when I plug my headphones in. It's pretty unnecessary, and doesn't even list PowerAmp, even though that's my main music app. But whatever.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks :good:
Basically what the title says. I factory reset my pixel 2 xl and now I have a calendar and weather "widget" at the top of my home screen that I can't get rid of. I have tried holding down to remove it but it makes no response. I have gone I to the settings of the calendar and the weather but can't find an option to remove it. I want to replace it with another widget but even moving another one over it won't remove it. Anyone have any suggestions?
Use a different launcher. If I recall correctly, the at a glance widget is hardcoded to display on the home page on the Pixel Launcher.
What he said! Try Nova, etc.
Thanks guys I will definitely try using a different launcher. Now that I think about it I was using one before I reset.
