[Q] Need C6506 Bell Stock ROM - Sony Xperia ZL

As title states.
Phone needs to go in for warranty service and I'm worried they will raise a stink with the changed recovery and the generic US ROM.
I looked around but I can't find it anywhere and I unfortunately did not back it up.
Anyone got a back up lying around?

[Q] Changing Baseband/Modem/Radio to i317 ATT from T889? Is it Possible?

Hi all -
Yes I am new here, but I have used this site for quite some time and haven't really been able to figure out the answer so here goes. I have a T-Mobile T889 Note 2 but I have ATT service. While I get service here at my house with the MB4 baseband, as soon as I leave and go anywhere, I lose signal where I would have it if I had an ATT version of this phone. In short, my actual signal stinks. My phone is unlocked, rooted, and I have run many different roms and tried modem zip files to no avail, only getting boot loops. I have tried the *#197328640# as well.
My question is: Is it possible to turn this T889 into a i317 ATT version so I can get better signal? Or am I just up a creek? There has to be a way to get a ATT modem to actually work.
Please, any help would be great, and thanks so much for all the input all of you have.
Update!

Hope this helps anyone with issues on their phone...Contacted Samsung Support about my terrible radio/signal issues (going through T-Mobile was ridiculous, as I could not find the receipt, but the phone is still within its warranty period anyway). Samsung sent me a UPS label to ship the phone back. Flashed the phone back to stock and rolled the counter back to 0 using the tuts on here. Took about a week or so, but looks like they replaced two components on the phone after finding the following: NO PCS SERVICE - WILL NOT CHARGE - SIM ELECTRICAL FAILURE. Two components were replaced (not detailed as to what though). Samsung is sending the phone back to me now, no cost to me and no need for receipt either (since the phone hasnt even been on the market for a year, so it is def within warranty). So while many of us might find some issue with our phone and we continuously looks for different ways of tweaking or whatever, sometimes it's actual issues with the hardware that may need replacing.
Thanks all!

[Q] New to Tmobile - Repair procedure question

Hey everyone,
I recently switched from Sprint to Tmobile and have a question regarding their repair procedures. I have noticed that my charging port is not working correctly as the charger cord will move and not charge the phone if not held in a certain way (found out the hard way when I woke up with a dead phone).
I know with Sprint, there were certain repair stores i would go to and have them look at it and they would give me a new or refurb phone if they found it was an issue that was caused by misuse. To my understanding with Tmobile, i can take it to any Tmobile store and have them look at it. If they see that it is a defect or an issue that wasnt caused by me physically damaging it, they will order me another one that will come in a day or so, is this correct? I have had the phone for about 2 months now.
If this is true, I plan on unrooting my phone and putting stock KK back on the phone. Is there anything else i need or should do? Thanks.
Pretty much. I just did a warranty claim on mine for GPS issues. The following applies if you are on Jump or the insurance program. I took mine into the closest tmo retail store. Mine was rooted when I went in and the rep realized it. He told me he couldn't process the claim for me since he noticed root. That's just a word of warning. So if you're rooted, take it back to stock before going in. But the guy was nice about it and just told me to unroot and take it to another store, or call tmo's technical support number. 1-877-453-1304, or 611 on a tmo phone. I suggest not calling from the phone you are trying to get fixed. I ended up calling and explained the situation to the rep. He walked me through a couple of steps and was super nice about it and processed a claim for me. I had actually done most of the things he suggested so he didn't harp on it and just took my word for it. The new phone was at my door about 12 hours later with a return mailer.
Thanks for the response and I'm glad it worked out for u

Unroot it first before going to the service center, they wont fix a rooted unit.

Can someone with a Sprint number switch over to a SGH-T999?

My girlfriend has Sprint but her phone bit the dust. I offered her my current phone but I am not sure if she can just put her SIM in this phone and use it. Is there anything I would need to do to prepare my current phone (running SlimBean 4.2.2 w/ Ktoonz) for her?
You need a CDMA phone for it to to work on Sprint. If your phone is unlocked, you could try putting her SIM in your phone and see if you get a Signal.
The only change if any would be to change the APN (Settings>More>Access Point Name).
Going between Sprint and T-Mobile you will find that it works as a phone, but will only ever get Edge data service.

Thanks for the answers guys. Turns out she was covered by the one year warranty from the factory. So she's getting a replacement Monday. I appreciate the response!!

I returned a PREVIOUSLY rooted LG G4, has AT&T found out?

Hello there, I had previously rooted my LG G4 and then flashed the stock PR rom for the H810, and then when the AT&T American rom was released I flashed that, then I updated to Marshmallow and eventually my phone fell into the equivalent of a boot loop, the phone would VERY frequently go completely blank with this weird rainbow static, to the point where I couldn't turn it on past the AT&T logo, ther was no water damage and I never dropped it. I tried flashing the stock rom again and it didn't work. So I sent it back to AT&T and they gave me a replacement, it made it to the warranty department and I haven't heard anything since. That is, until a few days ago, I got a call from "ATT Service DPT" when I wasn't home, and I got another today when I wasn't home, they haven't left a voicemail and I don't think I've gotten an email. Is it possible they could have found out that my phone was previously rooted? They haven't cancelled my service or billed me, yet.
Why would they bill you or cancel your service.
Do you have a replacement g4 to keep.

I'm not sure what the point of speculating here is other than driving yourself to worry more. For all you know, it could be a courtesy robo-dial. If it's important, you'll be notified about it one way or another.

I really hope you're right, I'm just some stupid kid (sort of) and I guess I'm probably worrying more than I should

[Q] What's the cutoff point for ROMs to unlock the SIM?

OK, so I have an opportunity to get an LG G5 LS992 Sprint model today for a decent price (under $60), with box, original cable, charger, accessories, 2 or 3 cases, looks to be in fairly good condition from the pictures. The girl selling it doesn't know how to answer most of the questions I have so certainly I can't get her to tell me what the ROM installed is by looking at the Settings - About phone info.
So here's my question: been doing some research today into the current situation and from what I gather, Sprint, in their infinite greedy and stupidity as usual, has found a way to block the ability to unlock the SIM for use with other carriers like T-Mobile (my carrier of choice). Apparently this started with ZVC and I have no idea which specific version of Android that is since there's a bunch of them around but I'm going to presume it's at least Android 7.0 Nougat.
I'm going to presume that if this phone does not have ZVC on it then it's safe to also presume that I would be able to do the SIM unlock and make use of it with T-Mobile so if anyone out there might be able to answer that I'd be eternally grateful.
As stated, I have no idea what firmware is currently on the device, unfortunately, I sure hope it's not ZVC or anything later, guess I'll find out later today when I meet up with this person.
Dammit, Sprint, what the hell are you people doing?
