Lose mobile data after flashing custom rom

Hello,
After flashing Slim Bean 4.2.2 Custom ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1865262.
I end up losing my mobile data signal, no LTE no 3G nothing ?
Is there a way to fix this : reflashing the ROM, flashing LTE radio, praying god ?
My phone is Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M and my carrier is Fido (which is owned by rogers).
do I have to go back to my stock backup ?

Sounds like you lost your IMEI.

But there is still an IMEI number in my phone settings...
What can I do ?

Check your APN settings. They may not be set.

Can you please tell me how to set my APN settings ?

I found the APN settings here is what I got :
Fido Default (fido-core-appl1.apn)
Fido Internet (internet.fido.ca)
Fido Tethering (isp.fido.apn)
Thats it. Should I change/ add something ? What is the promble ?

Go into settings, under the wireless section at the top, it says "more...". Go into that. Then press mobile networks, and then access point names.

You need to look under Settings/More Settings/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names. The APN you need to have will depend on your service provider. Search within XDA to find the appropriate APN settings.

Please edit your post to delete the numbers. I just wanted to know if it read 0 or otherwise.

Sprint s3 l710 hotspot help.

I just rooted my phone today. I have root because I have used a few apps that require it so I know that it is working. I have tried every hotspot app and none of them are working for me. It looks like it is going work and then it says it is shutting off because my plan does not allow it. Is there any fix for this. I am just rooted no custom recovery or rom. Thanks

If you're phone is up to date and stock use the Odex md4 version.

So I just install the md4 odexed zip from cwm and reboot the phone? Do I need to wipe cache or anything since this is nit a rom?

While it is unethical for you to use tethering without paying for it - Sprint does not throttle or charge you for using it because they do not track it. Once their network gets better and is on par with AT&T/Verizon, they will definitely start cracking down on unauthorized tethering usage. Just bear in mind that if you download heavy files or view steaming media (HD content, such as netflix or youtube), you'll be bogging down the network in your area (all other people around you sharing the same cell site will be affected negatively.) I use tethering for myself, but only when my Comcast goes offline and I try as little as possible to use anything HD while on Sprint's network.

[Q] slow speeds after root

I rooted my note 2 i317 added a custom rom and ended up going back to stock rom. I kept it rooted for foxfi. Lte just came to my area and im getting .5mbs speeds. My wifes s4 gets 20mbs. Is the root the cause of this? Anything I can do to fix the a speeds?

Root is not the cause of your slow speeds...
More information is needed..
What rom did you flash ??
And what return to stock method did you use ??

I flashed beanstalk 4.3.1 rom using odin found the stock 4.1.1 at&t rom sgh-i317_att_i317ucalj2_i317attalj2 was the file name. I used odin to install that also. Then I ota updated to 4.2.1 then I rooted again using galaxy note 2 toolkit.

Do APN settings and baseband read correctly ?
And was a full factory reset performed before flashing the UCAMH3 update ?

Check your APN against the above ...as it must match exactly...or data will be gimped...
Also toggle your data into airplane mode and let it sit for 10 minutes ...then turn it back on and test....g

And while I don't believe that your Sim card needs to be provisioned....it's possible...
That's all I've got unless you are on a rom other than stock...

I cant find anywhere that has those settings. Would it be easier to just flash back to stock again? Maybe the file I thought was stock isnt stock. It looks the same. Im just getting frustrated not knowing where I went wrong.

Ok so here is what I did. I reflashed stock rom and did not update it. Still no luck. .52mbs downloads. Drove 3 hours to another state and lte was still the same no change. Got home and checked it. And I go 22mbs down. No clue why I didnt do anything. But its good now. Thanks for the help.

Delayed Message

So I'm from the Philippines before I got my SGH M919 (same person from the Lockscreen Problem) it is already unlocked.
Now, I'm experiencing delayed messages. Like for example, inside the elevator the signal will be gone right? Then after I get out,
there is a signal but I will have to turn on airplane mode on/off to restart the whole signal to receive messages. Now I don't know
if it is in the sms app tham I'm using or how the phone got unlocked. Any suggestion to fix this?

I used my M919 in mindanao for a few weeks in 2013. if you delete all the t-mobile apns it might help. Also a Custom rom will probably run better than stock with a smart or globe sim.

Personally I would be using a 9505 rom if I was primarily in PH. Aosp or cm might work well also.

Goldeneye. Be sure to select the tmobile variant in aroma settings. it should improve performance.

I am having this problem lately...
I am located in Canada. I am using the 550ML TW version and update OTA all the time, but the past months, I am not able to use any of my data. I can see the 3G or H+ but just couldn't use it. Sometime it will work for few sec but can't use again.
Also, I have manually selected my access point but still no luck even after restart my phone
Anyone know what is the problem? My device is rooted and with busybox and with xposed

ahhh actually i did, also i made my own access point profile (the same profile that used in my windoes phone before) but still won't work
the 3G/H+ sometimes show but sometimes won't show

What Rom version are you running? Just version # and have you thought about upgrading to we Rom? Can't say that's the problem but I always try different options, I had trouble with ota's not installing properly a couple times so I had to run the full software as an update. All I can think of at this time.

but previous rom also has the same problem and i thought it was the provider but its not

I'll do some research and see what I can find, If I can find the source for the full .41 Rom I would suggest running that as an udpdate first.... there are a couple custom roms for the 550, though I haven't yet found one I am happy with and I am on the 551

you can call the carriers all day, but the zenfone 2 is foreign to them. So you will have to unlock your data speed on your own, AT YOUR OWN RISK! Enter *#*#4636#*#* on your Calling dial pad. Then look for data speeds and switch it to LTE, this will force 4gLTE speed only. Or try a lower speed if 4gLTE is being droped in your area. Please be careful NOT to switch any other phone settings in this menu. your warranty might go invalid or permanent dmg. ALSO check your APN settings. for example; even tho metro pcs and t-mobile use same towers , they have different APN connections, double check with your carrier or research online.
