[Q] Help needed! (MicroSD Card and app2sd) - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently using a Galaxy Note 2. And I'm having issues with my microSD card. Just 2 questions:
1) Is it true that the latest Galaxy phones spoils microSD cards easily?
2) I had previously used mattiadj's memory swap mod to swap external memory to internal memory to put apps to sd. But unfortunately, my 32GB microSD card fried. Now that I've got a new one, when I installed the mod again, my storage details shows both internal and external as 32GB. And files from my phone memory can't be read at all.
Can anyone kindly help me more on the 2nd question? Really depressed to lose all photos and data and now can't figure out how to get that extra memory space. Many thanks!

1) Yes, Note 2 does have some issues with those SD cards, Even mine also got fried...

Internal Storage

This is my first Android Phone without an SD card slot (Had Samsung Galaxy, Thunderbolt and Bionic before). Trying to understand. Is the Internal Storage a physical storage medium like you find in the iPhone or is it an internal SD card? Some people talk about virtual SD drive and partitioning. Am I able to partition the internal storage so that part of it will work like an external SD card and does not get erased with ROM upgrades? Thanks

the internal memory is a nand chip, it's much better than having a microsd card like the HD7 and mozart, as it runs much faster, and less error.
but not too sure about partitioning it, as you only get about just over 13GB users memory.

Using Internal SD Card After Getting an External

Hi everyone. I just bought a new 32GB micro SD card. I was wondering though, to those of you who have externals, what use does the 16GB internal have now that I have an external? Do you guys use it for anything/is it possible to also use that effectively? I was thinking about just putting all of my ROMs on the internal since CWM can install zip from internal and then keeping everything else on the external. Is that what most of you guys do?

quick question about storage

alright, fairly new on the epic 4g touch, came from a galaxy nexus and prior to that an xperia play.
ok, so i know it has built in storage, and an expandable sd card...i bought the phone without the sd card, and flashed it to ga10. all is great, though i couldn't move apps to the built in usb storage. bought a 32gb sd and pictures are now stored there but when i move apps it now moves to my internal storage and not the sd card.
was this due to how i flashed without having the sd card in at the beginning, or is this the way to the phone is just meant to work?

If this is the mod you used it says you can access the internal memory through astro it es file manager.
Good luck

External Memory Card swap query

I have a Zenfone 2 Deluxe ZE551ML 128GB version running stock 5.0
I have been using a Samsung 32GB pro memory card and had moved many apps including games to the SD card. After 1 month of usage, now I have bought a 128GB memory card. I assumed that if I copy all the contents of the 32GB memory card to my new 128GB card, I can just exchange the same and all my apps and games (which I moved to SD card) would be working fine. Well, my idea didn't work and the apps were not recognized by the phone, I put back the 32GB card and the apps work fine again.
So, the only way for me to use my 128GB memory card is to first move all the apps back to internal memory, then insert my new memory card and then move the apps back to memory card? I've got way too many games and apps and wish to confirm this before proceeding!
