What phone is your friend using? ProBAM may not be compatible for Arc S.

It matters a lot, since it definitely won't work. What you need to do is to port it, although I think both ROMs may not be compatible
Porting a ROM for a quad core phone to a single core one, with much less RAM? I don't see that as a good idea..

There's always other custom ROM that works well on Arc/S, you can head down to the Android Development section and pick a ROM that you like.

Is there a chance that someone can port this for our DHD ?

Let's hope so
CyanogenMod for Desire HD
Yes someone please get this ported. We currently don't have any stock android roms for the DHD.

If I just wanted close to a stock rom, I'd use CyanogenMod. I think the excitement here is over the possibility of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The fact it's stock is a bonus though.

Well now that that Gingerbread source code is available, hopefully it will be a teensy weensy bit easier for Raider to get the DHD a fully working build. You are a super star Raider, gimme a shout if I can help in any way during testing etc...

As above really!
All I ever see are the sony ROMS or even CM ROMS and I was thinking of creating a pure android ROM. But has it been done?

Ummm people are just NOW getting the phone. If I had the time I might actually think about making one if I had some testers.
I'm new member in this site and i want to know if possible to port other OS to work perfectly on xperia arc s
got bored from android and battary drain :crying:
In theory, it's possible but not feasible. You can run IOS on an Android phone but it won't work perfectly. Likewise if you tried to run Android on an IPhone, it's possible but not perfect. Rather than asking for a port of another OS, find ways to personalize your Android experience and solve the battery drain. If you are still bored or can't be bothered, I suggest you buy an IPhone.

That's not true, as long as the OS is based on a linux kernel and has the ability to build from source with drivers it should'nt be much of a issue.

Try the custom roms available in the development section, some like Super Jelly Bean are extremely battery friendly

I proposed a solution for his battery issues. As for the rest, we must have someone with good programming skills wanting to port the os. It is possible.

Yes, I said it was possible, but not everything is served to you on a silver platter. You can build from source, but drivers are
still a big problem that stops the ported OS from working perfectly.

Easier said than done, porting an OS requires more than just programming skill.

Hi XDAs OnePlus 3 community!
Before I got the OnePlus 3 I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9506) and saw this awesome ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-phronesis-mm-rom-v1-0-feature-rich-t3468592
I tried it and thought it was really nice but it needed a bit better hardware.
And I have been just wondering :What if someone could port this awesome Rom to OnePlus 3?
If someone could´port this ROM to the OP3 that would awesome
And if possible please add DASH Charge : )
Wrong section, this should be in Questions & Answers. That being said, if nobody else steps up I'll give it a go in my free time, it looks promising. But I have minimal experience with Android development so it might take a while.
Oh yea sorry about the section

I thought this would maybe get more attention in this section, and and I appreciate any ones attempts to port this ROM. :good:
And btw sorry for the tried mispellings in this thread.
Why do you want a Samsung based ROM ? Most of the apps in the ROM will not work on the OP3. Stay on stock ROM and enjoy Nougat.
No, there cannot be any possibility to port a TouchWiz based ROM to OP3. No matter what you do, there just simply not enough method and time to do so.
And to be honest, there's other ROM available that could be better than that

Tend to agree. I don't like Touchwiz personally, but the themes are cool and it's quite fluid.

Personally I like aicp their 12.1 N from is buggy but if you use their last build of 11 from October it runs flawlessly on 3.2.4 firmware and has customization that I diddnt even know I wanted. I've used a lot of time but it's by far the best
