Whenever I'm reading xda on Google+ on my phone (s3 with CM10.2), clicking on the links brings up the browser and then utorrent. Doesn't happen on my computer. Can someone fix the links?
Can you give an example about when this happens?
The only utorrent links we have are on our downloads page in DevDB. Other than that, nothing should be opening in utorrent.
Any time I click on one of the feedproxy links from a G+ PST from xda, the stock browser opens with the correct link followed immediately with a utorrent window with a prompt to download. I didn't change the utorrent settings on installation or add any file associations to it.

why am i being directed to random advertisement when using google's search engine to find xda forum?
im typing xda forum on search engine, when the suggestions are listed and i click ed on the first one, i dont go directly to xda forum, but to some advertisement.. so what i did, i typed the complete address... [forum.xda-developers.com] it wasnt used to be like this...
That is an issue you need to take up with Google.
XDA does not control what shows up via a Google search. Best bookmark the site, or ignore the sponsored links and use the "real" entries in Google
I typed XDA into google search and clicked the first link and it brought me right to the front page.
There are Google ads that appear on top of the XDA Google search. Just try to avoid them if they are annoying. Glance at the URL to see where it's taking you.
When I try to favorite a forum and exit the the app then enter it again it doesn't save it.
Its not only that though; When trying to post a photo in a post or topic the app says, "you need to login before you can post photos", when I am logged in.
The app also says to contact an administrator if this error occurs again, which it has over and over, so if there are any admins out there I'd love to report the issue.
Thanks!

Shoot them an email through their market page. I have had many issues with the newest release as well.
-Can't upload photos
-crashing when reading threads
-videos/photos not showing up
-app crashing when viewing a photo-
app crashes when grabbing thread URL in app
I'm guilty of not actually attempting to debug these issues in any way, but none the less they are all there and can be replicated with ease.
I'm having the same issue also

You could use the tapatalk app instead.

Falcon pro is a Twitter app which is very popular on android.
Today Verges posted an update regarding Falcon Pro and its future. In short, the app is now free and available as a direct download from http://getfalcon.pro. You'll need to side load the app if you decide to download it from the site. You can enable side loading of apps by launching your Settings app and going to Security, then checking the box next to "Unknown sources."
Simply making the app free and releasing it for all to download outside of the Play store doesn't solve the token issue, though. In order to get around the limit, you'll need to find a hidden custom log-in screen.
Start by tapping the falcon on the main page, then tap and shake your way to the custom log-in notification. If you're not patient enough to try and figure it out, or you just want to use the app without jumping through hoops, you can find instructions here.
The workaround is brilliant. By allowing users to create their own Twitter application keys and in the process their own tokens, anyone can log in to Falcon Pro and use the app to its full potential. Visit this page on Twitter's developer portal and create your own application. The app name you use will show on every tweet you send through the app, so make sure you pick something that shows off your personality. Before we go on to the next step, e-mail yourself the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
If you want clear instructions feel free to ask

It works fine.
Make sure you have a callback and that twitter is allowed to login through your client. I read an article on androidpolice.

Falcon Pro is not working at my college connection (hotspot), though it works on my home wi-fi connection. More of a network problem. Anyway to resolve it?
For those who are experiencing 'crash when open' uninstall 'lucky patcher'.

How did you post this....Is it just your Opera browser? Do you have issues with other browsers....
The first post as well as this are posted from Opera Mini the browser in question is called Opera For Android. Opera Mini and Opera Classic are both fine it reloads the main forum page over and over.

Maybe it's me maybe it's the browser, but if you have other's that work just use it.
Just tried it again and it went haywire try turning off the road and switching user agents.
try to uninstall the application and reinstall it

Just a quick one to say that I installed the XDA app (build 1.1.6b-play) on my phone (Asus zenfone 7) and it won't let me log in. I've tried using my username and my email address, and I'm using the same password that I used to log in just now on my PC. I just get a "Invalid username/password" message when I try to log on.

The "old" XDA app has been abandoned with the transition to Xenforo. THE new XDA will be available via Google Play Store soon. As of the statement in the OP of "Welcome to XDA 2021!" the launch target is today. Here's a help thread for the new app available:
