Which ROM from development section has best battery life? I am using BeastMOD 4.2 which is android 2.3 because it has insane battery life. Which one of 4.2 ROMs should I go with? I used CM10.1 and it lasts about a third of BeastMOD. I can go 2 days with moderate use but on CM only about 12 hours. Any inf would be appreciated.

SlimBean & XenonHD
I have used SlimBean and it has had great battery life. Now I am trying XenonHD and is turning out to be better. Xenon has more features which are better arranged.

XenonHD excellent on battery life
XenonHD is turning out to be the best on battery life. I have installed a couple of apps and it is running great. During the past 13 hours (including the night) and little usage the battery only dropped 20% - from 88 to 68%. Processor seems to go to sleep faster as mA usage drops to 10-20mA pretty quick after usage.

So there has been alot of controversy about battery life going around on this phone. Some get wonderful battery life while others suffer on barely getting half way through the day. Some of us are running custom roms with tweaked kernels. I'm curious to see the average amount of battery this phone gets. So I'm asking for everyone to post an image of their battery life and include if you are on a custom rom or kernel. Hopefully this will clear some things up!

While he was a bit harsh, Adreno is probably right. There are simply too many variables to accurately judge these things. Completely different usage patterns, different roms, different kernels, different apps, different providers, different locations, etc.
Just search out any of the 1000 threads on battery life if you want to try to get an average.
thanks for the tip
At least 4 hours screen time with:
Version: GSM GNex
ROM: AOKP Milestone 3 (power saver mode off)
Kernel: Lean Kernel
Battery: 2000 mAh
Frequency: 350/1200 Conservative
UV: Stock
3G/HSPA/LTE: 3G/HSPA and my network doesn't support 2G
What's off: BT, WiFi unless I'm home, Sync for Calender Contacts Browser and Photos.
Daily, I use: Netflix/Poweramp/Spotify/Reddit on my daily commute. Phone/Poweramp/Spotify/Reddit/Browser+ in between commute.

Can someone tell me what the battery life is on tgascoigne's AOSP Jellybean port is like?
I know it is still in DEV stage, but was wondering if there has been any signs of improvement/degradation with the use of the ROM.
Thanks

I would love to know as well. I'm on cyanogenMod 10 preview 8 I probably need to give it a couple of days before I worry but there does seem to be quicker drain than before. I did only flashed it last night. It does however work well at the moment.
Just check out the Battery Stats Thread in General, I just posted my stats there with tg's #26 build. I reached 5 hours screen time with just moderate texting and light calling and some music and a few minutes of browsing with 2g only.

How many of you guys use tethering with your Nexus?
As I sit here in the waiting room, waiting for my girlfriend, I decided to tether to my n7. After 1:40min my battery is down to 35%
Is this normal or is there something wrong?
What kind of battery life do you guys generally get when using rasbean and the trinity kernel?
Thanks guys for the feedback

wow, I wish I could get that kind of battery life
I have to carry 5 batteries just to last the day...
But I remember getting 17 hours, but mostly standby with maybe 1:30 of screen time
are you using stock battery and have you tried the no-name brand?
Here are the rules:
Post your rom, if you're over clocked or stock, what kernel, and the battery you're using.
A screen shot of battery life, screenshot of screen time, and whatever else you feel is worthy of showing.
Also this thread can be used in conjunction to talk about battery life tweaks, extended batteries, and anything else battery related!
Go!

LTE on almost always, zero wifi usage.
Screen brightness is set pretty low. (my guess is about 15%)
Amazing for a 3100mah battery.
I see no need for an extended battery
EDIT: sorry I must be blind I didn't see the battery stats thread.
Anyhow that's my submission to that thread lol

If you're looking for above average battery life, the the W0008 MIUI producer edition.

It depends on if you are running a custom kernel, and what all your settings are. There are many tweaks you can use such as Greenify & System Tuner Pro (to turn off your phone checking into Google all the time). There is an excellent kernel over in the General Forum. I run BeanStalk as well with TricksterMod. I posted some battery stats the other day running Lionheart Governor and Sio Scheduler. I had around 14 hours on a charge, which is excellent considering the amount I use my phone.
Btw, @Neroga definitely knows what he is talking about so I'm sure the MIUI rom is awesome as far as battery life goes.
