YES, MINE TOO! On speakerphone, and when trying to play music through it etc.
It's done this on stock and Cyanogen mod, worryingly making me wonder if it's a hardware rather than software issue.

Mine too. Then i remember that i accidentaly put my zl on wet surface. It was soaked with water. But it goes off few days later.

My phones never go anywhere near water, so I'm pretty sure it's not that.

And mine is 4 days old, never near water, so yeah, pretty sure its not that also.

Mine crackles while playing some games. I initially thought it was due to the game's assets or code being corrupted, but perhaps it's due to something else entirely.
I've yet to update my phone to the latest version (I want to make a backup before I do this), but when I do I'll probably check it out further.

[Q] Speaker Blown?

I have an HTC Droid Incredible from Verizon. I got this phone back at the end of April. I do not use it on speaker phone, or listen to music with it. However, I noticed lately that EVERYTHING sounds horrible. Ring tones, alerts, etc..... I contacted HTC, but I'm not sure if they will do anything, or if I need to take it to a Verizon store. Any ideas? Anyone know what may have caused it?

all verizon phones have a 1 year warranty. call verizon or go to store,
not sure how it could have happened could be a number of things.
what happens when you have the volume turned down say half
does it still sound bad.
are you rooted ?
some roms have audio enhancements and that could be the issue
what rom, what version, has it happened on any other rom than the one you are using now?
Take the back cover off and see if the sponge material is torn.that is what happened to mine. I took it in had them hear it.and they replaced it.

[Q] Xperia Play rattle when shook.

I'm just wondering if it's normal that when you shake the Xperia Play up and down you can hear a slight rattling noise?

Exactly the same as mine then. Maybe it's the hinge?
I think when its closed the wiring that connects the bottom to the top is lose, but when its open it isn't lose, seems normal...

Have you tried spraying a little condensed air in there? (blow out any lint or whatever gets trapped in there from your pocket) i know there isnt much room under the lip of the triggers, but you never know. Maybe take it in for service. I know Verizon, I can drop it off and if the tech is working that day, he will take it apart and clean them up and inspect them to see if anything needs replaced. (granted you have to be under warranty, and i also have the Total Equipment Protection Plan)
My right trigger occasionally feels a little sticky too. It feels wierd, kind of annoying.
It also has a weaker 'click' than the left trigger, but i guessed its because most games use it more then the left one.

Mine works fine both side feels even with balanced 'click'
If it's still under warranty, go for a checkup.

I got it at christmas, but from an online site (dialaphone) so sending it back for a check could take 3-4 weeks. I might see about it though

Let your speaker dry and do not use it till it dryied, else the moving parts that are glued together may loose their connection and the distortion will stay permament.

I have experienced that problem as well. You just need to dry your phone, until it completely dry, using hair dryer is expected. Just expose with it, wait until you sure, and it'll be work

Hi TiTAN-O-One,
I hope, your problem is gone for now, but perhaps it would be helpful to know what you can do, when such unfortunate happens.
This phone is really easy to disassemble and reassemble. Replacement parts are not expensive and almost everywhere easy reachable.
I had to replace my internal speaker because it sounded distorted. I bought the part and with some tools i replaced the internal speaker with the proximity sensor earphone jack and upper michrophone (these are all on one unit). You will find an accurate guide on youtube on how to disassemble and reassemble your wonder without damaging it. It's quite easy.
In case it gets wet it is the same, you can safely disassemble it, dry and carefully clean parts and thats it. All you need is patience, some time, and the tools described in the youtube guide.
I did that and my device is still up and running. If you decide try, thats the way...
Hope that this little guidance helped! :fingers-crossed:

You're welcome!
That's good luck for you that your speaker did not take a major damage.:good:
But watch out, because these electronic parts can be easily be damaged without any other option than replacing them.
I use my phone with silicon case and above that i have a carrying bag too.
Wolud be nice for this phone to (at least) be waterproof. There are some casings that can make our wonder waterproof, but they are way too expensive by sametime not allowing a confortable use of the device.

First drop of your new device

So today I was outside working on my truck and when I got it finished I had laid my phone on the truck bed and went to return it to my pocket and I completely missed my pocket and dropped it on the pavement. Luckily I had my case on it but later on in the day I noticed that the orientation was upside down (screen rotation) everything looked normal except on the lock screen the camera icon was upside down and when I unlocked the phone, nothing would rotate (yes the screen rotation was enabled). My first thought was... F**K!!! my new phone!!!! Then after a restore, thinking that it would correct itself (it didn't) I was left with the same issue. So I said what the hell I'll drop it (in the case less than 10 inches from the table) on the opposite end it had originally fell (top of the phone hit straight down) and see if it'll work and sure enough it corrected itself! How in the hell? Has anyone EVER heard of this on any other device?

Prolly had something to do with the gyroscope getting stuck or something. My son threw mine today and it hit the wall and landed on the bed. its fine.
I've dropped mine twice worth the s view cover on. The first one was from my lap. Hit the edge of the polished aluminum. Scratched that edge near top. The second hit, didn't actual fall to ground. It almost slipped from my hand and hit my truck hinge. It put a slight chip near the bottom where they put the two little white or black spots on bottom. The device showed zero problems though.

Awesome you got it fixed but that's absolutely a new thing... the orientation is controlled by the accelerator, and there's no moving parts, it's just a chip that measures the micro-flexing of a material due to gravity or acceleration.
I should be either broken or working perfectly... very odd to think what effect a mechanical impact could be having on electric circuits that makes it flip orientation

Yes that's exactly what I thought! How in the hell did that happen?!?!? But even more odd was how the opposite impact corrected the issue with the electrical circuit!?

To safely stow your phone in your pocket, insert the phone with the display facing your leg and with your fingers extended along the back of the phone. Do not release your grip until you have tactile confirmation that your fingers are inside your pocket. If they are, your phone must be inside, too.
This precaution takes no extra time and does not require you to look away from whatever you may be attending to. But it ensures you won't drop your phone by missing your pocket.
I broke mine on first drop. Cracked the screen from two feet up landing flat on screen

Well after an hour on the phone worth att/att premier/and att tech support. I've got a new phone on its way to me. The tech guy told me that he's never heard of the accelerometer doing that either so how'd I get so lucky? Either way I can't complain just hoping that the new one doesn't give me any other problems
