I'm here to to mention that this is the best clock I've ever seen on Android. It has many functions like puzzles and math to keep you away from sleeping in. I've used it for a week now and I find it pretty useful.

Nope that's all you needed to do! Thank you.
I've unlocked the premium version and I no longer need the shares. If someone else would like to share their link by going into timely, hitting menu then settings, there should be a Share Application which can give you the link to post if you'd like to put it in the thread. :good:
Thanks again to all that helped, I'll continue to maintain the thread and by request I can even swap out my code for one of yours if you would like.
This is a really great clock. I've tried so many and always end back up with the stock clock app. This one finally made me change for good.

More Widget choices!!
If you bore of the timely widget but love the alarm. I like it but it doesnt have weather. One more clock widget (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sunnykwong.freeomc&hl=en) allows many more options for the widget but lets you still open the timly alarm when you touch the clock. It makes it feel just as baked in as the touchiz accuweather widget/clock.
In the settings of "One more clock widget" this tap and display table allows you to open timely as if its part of the widget.

Thanks for the updates. I have created a Tasker profile that starts your app when I put my phone in it's dock, coupled with certain other conditions (being connected to my wifi too). When creating the exit task to kill the app when I remove from the dock, I have to use root.

Updated. v1.3
* Auto start when power cable plugged in option added
I didn't find a thread dedicated to customizing your lockscreen, tought it might be a good idea to post a quick how-to in case some people didn't know about this yet. I've gotten a lot of help from this community so I wanted to give something back, even if it's something small
So the Widgetlocker app allows you to modify your lockscreen, you can add app shortcuts, widgets, sliders, actions, change the background and a bunch of other stuff.
1. Download the Widgetlocker app.
2. Open the app, get into the "tool mode" (tutorial has a good explanation on the different modes).
3. Long press on the screen and there you can choose to add a custom slider, application shortcut or widget.
4. For custom sliders chose ICS theme to make it look like stock, then long press and click edit. You can add up to 4 different actions/shortcuts/applications.
Here are some screenshots of mine, nothing fancy, just 2 extra sliders with 4 apps each. Added flashlight and sound toggle to the default slider and weather widget below the clock.

When I was looking at reviews of this app on the Market, I noticed some people complaining on battery drain, have you experienced that, or any other negative side effects of using Widgetlocker?

Haven't experienced any battery drain so far. The app was a bit quirky at first but checking the "Root Helper" option in advanced settings and disabling the default lockscreen helps a lot.
Good info for those who don't know about it, gabster21. As an addition, there's eleventy billion (no, really, there's so many that they had to create a new index on Google Docs) WidgetLocker themes in this thread, with support from the dev here. BTW the dev is the always-awesome and responsive [email protected], who is responsible for Nova Launcher, which even in beta whoops the stock launcher's butt, so if you haven't already, be sure to thank hi as well as gabster21 and zHk3R.

I had a look at those earlier but forgot to add that to the first post.. done it now, thanks!
Another cool feature, useful for advanced users (especially those with root): If you go into WL's settings menu and hold the volume-down button for a couple seconds, you get an additional menu of "experimental" settings. But as the title says, they really are experimental, which means they're unsupported and may not work or even break functionality.
When the ICS slider is at the bottom it expands very small, much smaller than the stock bubble (where the selections sit). But when the slider is moved up from the bottom of the grid it expands all the way, giving a longer travel from the center before a toggle is selected. Does anyone know why this is?
EDIT: I would delete this if I could figure out how. The circle expands less because I had a shortcut on the bottom which would get cut off if it expanded more.
Hello droids
I completely forgot how to customize the maingrid of the app.
In my previous setup i had clock, battery % and (eventually) battery status charging (like gabster21 lockscreen)
I need phosphoreus, but how to config again in this way?
Thanks
Ok for now i solved by an experimental function (hold down volume button in settings menu) but i would know still how i did that customization in the maingrid...

I've been trying it for a couple of days now. I was able to make a weather widget from weather.com. Nothing fancy as it only allows you to make a widget out of text...but if your into a minimalistic look then this should work fine. FYI the free version does not do interval auto updates, so you have to set it up to refresh the widget when you press on it.
Hi. That is not true, you can also use both animated and normal images. And many properly tagged objects as well! Look at the screenshots - I made all of that using metas.

Hmmm, I did not know that, thanks.
As an example: When I went to the weather.com website to create a widget, it allowed me to select the picture of the current weather as well as the temperature (in text), but when adding it to my screen it only shows the text:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

}
Well let me clarify as I tried it again: A widget is in fact created of the image, but the image is invisible (for better lack of terms). I can press were the image should be & it will update, but still a picture does not show.
In the screenshots the weather is from the same source...

All I can say is that I either have the option to select the temp (in text) & picture of the sun together or each one separately. Regardless of which method I choose, the image of the sun (or whatever it is at that moment), does not display in the widget. All that is created, is an invisible/blank widget of where that image should be.
I'm running the Blu Kuban Rom so I'm not too sure if that could be part of why it doesn't show.
Anything else?

Nope that's about it. I just recently changed to the CM9 ROM, so I'll try it out again & report back later.
I doubt that will have any effect on the apps functionality...

Well just tried it, this time though if I select an image (by itself) it will show on my screen. The problem is that the image does not show if I select text along with it (in this case the temp)
That is how it works. You can pick one element at a time, then use Widget Maker to stitch them together into a proper widget.

Warning! This has been developed and tested on Galaxy Nexus. It should work fine on One X, but have a backup, just in case something goes wrong (can't imagine what)
Today I got a little bit bored and decide to make this simple app. As the name says, it allows to put the phone in Standby (Lock) with the touch of app's icon. I know that there are many many apps that do this, but maybe in the future I could add other options to it. So far it seems to work fine, I tested it with Jellbro latest nightly and works like a charm. Maybe I am too lazy, but because my phone is on the desk most of the day, I find it not very convenient to press the Power button...

Changelog for version 1.4:
1.4
- added Tasks feature
- on some ROM versions the screen my try to turn itself on again after lock, the app will double check and try to lock it again. Please provide feedback if it still does not work.
- minor graphic tweaks
You can find it on Google Play at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
Feel free to give me suggestions . Also a high rating on Google Play would help. Thanks.
Nice simple little app.
A suggestion-
Could you add per day schedule?
Ie. If I wanted to turn WiFi off when I know I'm at work but not on weekend.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Thank you for trying the app. The suggestion is great and I've noted it down. I will try to implement it in the next version.
I am using the app and haven't got any "wake screen" events. So hopefully works as expected.
I was thinking of a feature:
1. set an interval in seconds, let's say 60
2. set in the app, Enable touch screen to wake
3. in you press the screen on this interval, the phone awakes.
This of course with the cost of battery life....
What do you say, is is useful or not ?
I've just released a new version in the market. Unfortunatelly it does not have new features as I've been really busy in the last few months but includes two important things:
- there is no more white screen + app's icon when pressing the app's icon, just before the screen shuts down
- I added compatibility with JB 4.2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alinberce.standbytouch
thank you! that is what iam searching for! :good:

Please just let me know if it works fine. I currently don't have a One X for testing.

I noticed 2 bugs on my htc x one. Later I will provide pictures in right thread
Sent from HOX with ARHD 14.2
Hi guys,
I have released a new version of the app. I have removed the Tasks feature as it wasn't too helpful and added Sleep Mode. So basically, the Sleep Mode shows for a brief moment (the time you set in Settings) 2 icons which allows you to switch off Sound/Wi-Fi/Data.
Here is how it works:
1. Go to Settings -> Zzzzzz Mode -> Set the interval in hours when you want the icons to be displayed. Set the milliseconds to be displayed and check the toggles you want to disable
2. Next time you press the StandBy icon you will see 2 icons on the screen. The moon icon puts the phone to standby and toggles off the checked things from settings. The sun icon, simply turns them on again and closes, without going into standby.
Any feedback is gladly received.
Android devices are meant for multitasking. Some devices, like the Galaxy Note 2,
are specifically designed to launch two apps, or more, at the same time.
The Google Play Store also offers a variety of multitasking apps to allow
you to multitask on your device. The FlipLauncher app is a multitasking app
that allows you to group your favorite apps or shortcuts and access them
from wherever on your device.
get the extremely usefull app HERE
When you launch FlipLauncher in portrait mode, 6 colored bars (i use one) will appear
on the left side of your screen. These bars serve as your virtual drawer
containing your apps and shortcuts. Just swipe to open those bars.
You can set up to 4 apps or shortcuts on each bar, giving you a total
of 24 apps or shortcuts.

The app also allows you to personalize the bars on your device’s screen.
You can change a bar’s color, adjust its width, set its placement, and
set its opacity. You can even disable one or two bars. These virtual drawers
really look like the Multi Window feature of the Galaxy Note 2 but arranged horizontally.
The app also has a different layout when you hold your device in landscape mode.
In this screen orientation, 4 colored bars (again i only use one) will appear on the left
side of the screen. Each bar allows you to place 6 apps or shortcuts, giving you still a
total of 24 apps.Just like the previous orientation, you can still change a bar’s color,
transfer the bar to the opposite side, adjust its width, and set its opacity. You can also
remove some bars according to your liking.
