Hello, my old battery is not satisfying my needs anymore, so Im looking for a new one. I need much battery life, so Im curious is there a battery which last longer than a new genuine Htc desire battery ? I read that Anker are pretty good, but they are not making batteries for Htc desire.
why don't you just get another regular battery for the desire along with a desktop charger
so when your battery dies you can hotswap it for the charged battery thus doubling your battery life
I have done this and I believe it is the best option

So since day one I've used the 1500mah battery for the tp2/imagio/hero and its been running fine, battery drain is still a bit higher than what I'd expect comming from winmo. So I was wondering people who tried both stock and the 1500mah battery, have you noticed any real difference in battery life?
Ok so there's a few threads about the 1500mAh for a few other devices and I saw a 1600mAh mugen battery for the DHD however it's been discontinued for some reason. Faulty?
A few websites later I came across this:
http://www.blueunplugged.com/Extended-Battery-1500mah-HTC-DesireHD.aspx
Has anyone tried it? Any noticable difference?
I would bet my life on that being utterly useless. 1500mAH for under a tenner? I expect a stock battery would out last that by a long time.
I have 2 of these batteries. They are not 1500mah. They do seem to perform as well as the factory battery though. Get a couple of them and a charger off ebay and then you can enjoy the security of having a spare battery on hand.

Yeah at the very least I hoped it would be enough as a spare. Already ordered one.
I'm just wondering... if I intend to keep my Incredible for a while, should I plan to replace the battery? Do these batteries wear out and if so, what's the typical lifespan?
I don't know a lot about battery but I supposed it depends on how you use it, charge it, heat/overheat, etc. My incredible is 13 months old and the battery is about the same, maybe. Just remember OEM batteries/parts is the best.

I would agree with respect to sticking to factory/OEM batteries. I bought a second HTC extended battery when my first one seemed to be losing a charge faster than I thought it should. This was after about 14 months of hard use. However, I also bought an external charger which allows the battery to get fully charged to 100%, whereas I found that the phone was not charging it all the way up (most likely due to bogus values in the battery stats file). After rooting, installing Pete's BuglessBeast GPA19, and re-calibrating the battery I'm getting about 24-30 hours out of a single charge on both the new and the old battery...
Hello folks..
I have a HTC Desire CDMA and I bought a Extended battery (3500 mAh to be exact) and this battery lasts just about as long as my normal battery does. It is thick enough to be 3 of my regular batteries, and it is alot heavier, so i know it wasnt a scam, plus there was good reviews... but, The only difference that I get with this extended battery, is that it stays at 100% for about 3 hours, and then starts booming down the charts on battery level.. I mean, i normally have about 25% at the end of the day with this extended battery, but i figure that it should atleast last 2 days on a full charge.... with it being 3500 mAh.. I mean, wow... Can someone help me? Im using a trusted stable battery saving kernel and rom.. so I know that's not the problem..
bump.........?

Do you have a custom rom? Try to download SpareParts from the market and unplug the charger when it says "charged". For my Samsung i5500 and a cyanogen rom the phone says "charged" a lot of time before the real charge...i think that the batterystats file isn't calibrated on your new battery, and so it says charged before...if you have a custom rom i think it's useful (if not necessary) to do a battery ricalibration (i.e charge the phone until the 100% then wipe the battery stats via recovery and then let the phone discharge until the 0%)
I don't know if this will help you, i hope!
I think
When i go back home tomorrow and pick up my extended battery, i will try this. thanks.
edit: yes i have a custom rom. it's oxygen.
My phone's battery is getting drained very fast, I am not getting backup even for a day, just using 3G and Calls. So i think its better to replace the battery. Can anyone tell me where I can get genuine battery for our HTC one V and its price.
yes ,contact htc care, and happy realization
My One V battery isn't as efficiency as original too. One V 's model is T320e battery, I just search it on ebay and found there are many available. You can search One V battery on youtube, there are vids to teach you DIY and it's easy. Remember to buy the smartphone assemble/re-assemble toolkit on ebay as well.
Personally, I'll buy it on taobao(Chinese ebay) as cheaper there but only ships China/HK/TW.....

You can try calibration your battery if you rooted. I've tried battery calibration app on One V and it actually helps a bit because I was crazy flashing roms plus supercharged v6 and made the phone battery statistic got mad.
Hi mate, may i know, how long have you used the battery? I think my phone battery need a replacement to.
easy
it's fairly easy to change the battery yourself, see http ://w ww.youtube.com/watch?v=64ePC3FbegM
just stop disassembly at 1:03, that's enough to remove the battery. done in 5 mins.
edit: an ORIGINAL htc one v battery (bk76100) is a must imho - yes, it costs 15 EUR instead of the 10 for the nonames, but i read some fakes don't give ANY temp reading to the system and that's simply not acceptable lol
