Lockscreen Widgets, only google's ? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hey,
I noticed that even though I have installed plenty of widgets, the only ones that show up on the lockscreen are the ones who come up by default from Google's applications... is this supossed to be like this, or am I missing something?

Bump

Pretty sure app developers need to make widgets available as lock screen widgets. Not all of my home screen widgets are available when adding a lock screen widget. For example, One Weather has 5 home screen widgets, and only 3 of those are available as lock screen widgets.

[REQ TO DEV's] 3d app drawer + Sense clock/weather widget and effects

Hi
Dunno if it is possible, but i really like the LauncherPro and app drawer, and 3d app drawer when moving smootly, but I also like the effects from Sense UI, when it rains and the wiper "cleans" the screen for example.
Is it possible to get both at the same time?
Fancy widget only enables the Sense clock widget, but gets no effects

beautiful widgets have sence style clock and animated weather
Beautiful Widgets has this effects, too.
But i want this ^^ 3D App Drawer and the rest of the look of the original Froyo_Launcher (LauncherPRO is not simmilar and its Sense Widgets not, too)
Can not someone make a SensePRO ? Or only edit the interface?

Year, but beautiful widgets doesn't "make it rain" on the screen
only when you enter the widget... ¨¨
Like when its cloudy, clouds fade in over the screen when you unlock it with Sense
It's all in the foreground
It does now with the 3.x versions if you enable it in the options.

Actually the newest patch I'm using does exactly what sense does. When you unlock it does the funky weather effect across the screen

Currently, I use LauncherPro for 3 reasons:
1) Swapping among the screens is MUCH more faster/smoother than Sense, and I really have no idea why!
2) 3D drawer
3) It looks very nice
However, I really miss a lot the HTC widgets, like Footprints, Mail widget (it would be nice to get one like this for K-9 Mail), pictures widget...and so on.
It would be perfect to gather Launcher's smoothness (for the screens) / 3D drawer with Sense widgets..but I know it's not possible.
I'll check latest beautiful widgets to see what it offers..
Nice. Haven't checked the latest version, but I'm definitely going to. Thanks for heads up. Btw is it the paid version?

[Q] AOSP and sense widgets?

whats up ppl i was just wondering if is it possible to have a AOSP rom wit the sense widgets (flip clock, sync all, settings, etc) cuz lets be real the AOSP widgets are wake and if it is can u tell me how to cuz im a new in this and thnx in adv.
have a wonderful day
Please use the search...
Pay version of launcher pro has widgets similar to sense with the exception of the clock.
For the clock, you need the pay versions of either Beautiful Widgets of Fancy Widgets. I know for sure Fancy Widgets has skins to make the clock look identical to the sense clock. It also has screen on animations and weather animations when you open the weather.
A number of third party messenger and calendar apps also have their own widgets.

yea i was watching a video on youtube of fancy widgets but the animation when u unlock the phone does not work right and a another Q how do u put the signature (like the one u have after the line ) in here cuz i been looking around in my profile and i dont see any part for signature
Screen unlock animation worked fine for me. I think beautiful widgets has one too. Neither are as good as sense though. Worth the sacrifice for me though since I don't really like Sense.
Look under quick links at the top of the screen. One of them is edit sig.

HTC sense clock/weather replacement

I like the default HTC Sense clock/weather but it is so large it takes up a lot of real estate on the home screen. Is there a smaller replacement that still maintains the same look and all the functionality? I found a "Sense Analog Small Clock 4x1" in the market and its fine, but the weather has to be a zipcode entry. It wont just use your "current location" like the native HTC sense widget does. This would be a nice function but it seems to be absent in 3rd party clock & weather apps.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Beautiful Widget allows for resizing and has multiple skins.

Checked them in the market. Their clock/weather widget does support geolocation apparently. So I guess it would autoupdate to wherever you were at like HTC's native sense widget. It looks fairly large though, at least 4x2. What I really need is 4x1 like the small sense app.
Update: I just saw some 1x4 shots in the android market site so it looked like it has this size. The only other problem is its not free but I can deal with that.
Beautiful widgets is exactly what your looking for. I run it often in 4x1 and it looks great. Plus there are over 100 different clock and weather skins. Really nice app and well worth it.

looking for some lockscreen features

Im looking for a few features on my lockscreen that dont appear to be possible with stock att galaxy.
I would like to get more than 4 shortcut apps on the lockscreen.
I would also like an email widget and calendar widget, maybe something similar to the news widget for the jb lockscreen.
Possible?

Not without your own personal modding, or flashing something else that has it...
Widget Locker will let you place sliders, widgets, and shortcuts on your lockscreen. I've never tried it with a stock ROM, but see no reason it shouldn't work.
You can find it in the Play store.

Excellent 1st post... You get a thanks...
Yep, Widget Locker will do a lot of what you're looking for. One tip, go into your lock screen settings (in your phone settings, not in WL settings) and set it to none once you've activated WL. This will keep the odd times when your stock lock screen might appear after unlocking via WL.

Blinkfeed widget?

Is there a way someone could make a blinkfeed widget so we can still have it on like nova or apex launcher?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you need the Sense launcher to run Sense widgets due to them needing HTC's framework.
Maybe the flipboard widget is an alternative?
Blink Feed is basically an amalgam of Flipboard and Pulse. Though I find Pulse's layout easier to digest, their widgets leave a lot to be desired. Amy suggestions on alternatives for third party launchers?

Nova Launcher
I am a bit stuck on this too. I really prefer the Apex Launcher but I am liking blinkfeed as well... I am hoping someone can find a way to make them play nice together...
MG
I don't understand why this can't be done.
all we need is a shortcut to the feed. in theory, even with nova Orr similar running, blink feed is still doing its thing in the background, we just can't get to it.
I'm sure some one like nova could do:
say you have 3 home screens set, instead of infinite scroll,
you could have the left most side of home screen one set as a shortcut.
I then you could set the short cut to blink feed (or anything else you might want to use)
it would be pretty much the same as we have but with a custom launcher.
does that make sense?
this is already possible with thde MoDaCo tool kit. check out 3:16 on this video

I use adw and make a custom shortcut for the HTC launcher. I delete all screens with only blink.

Best solution out there. I too love Blinkfeed, but prefer other launchers over the Sense launcher, mainly for things like custom grid sizes and being able to feed my addiction on mycolorscreen.com.
Incidentally, I use Nova and a custom shortcut - same thing.
