Ok, fellas. I tried several times with GingerBreak, but to no avail. I then moved on to SuperOneClick and was successful in obtaining superuser privileges. Now onto the next step: flashing kamesh's and antdking's p350 toolkit, and making a Nandroid.
Yea
Use antdking toolkit it's better

hehe, I couldn't help but do it the old fashioned way. I used the adb shell, although I was unable to get the $ su. I just entered adb shell su. So, now I have my recovery flashed. I immediately made a Nandroid and I am about to check the integrity of: the back up.

Run "adb shell /data/local/tacoroot.sh --recovery," hit VolUp+Power at the exclamation mark, then VolUp+VolDown+Power to reboot, then continue the guide with "adb shell /data/local/tacoroot.sh --setup." Let me know if it works.
I never get the red exclamation point. Could the fact that I installed Clockworkmod recovery before rooting have something to do with it?

Hey guys,
Im trying to root my phone using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874801
but when I run the root tool I get the "ADB is out of date. Killing"
Ive tried installing countless random drivers which claim to be ADB and im fairly certain they were but they all seem to have been old ones.
Can someone upload the new ones for me?
Thanks!
Hi,
I had same problem because flashtool was open. Close flashtool if it's open when you root.

It was actually open but even after I closed it, it didnt root!
Sorry for you.
I flash 4.0.3 kernel on 4.0.4 rom, I close flashtool, start the phone, I open doomlord and root the phone. After, I put 4.0.4 kernel with flashtool and restart phone for install CWM.
I had the same problem a month ago... just restart adb... use task manager and end adb.exe process

It wasnt actually that but something similar.
Droid Explorer was running in the background which apparently was also using ADB. Once I closed that it worked.

Re: [ROOT] Insecure Boot Image
Well this is broken till flar gets back to me with a write protect disable module. The kernel itself prevents writing to system. So no root method will work besides flashing a recovery. Can't finish recovery till module is built. HTC likes locking their stuff down now

if for some reason supersu says su isn't installed, try a root app and see if you get prompted for root access
i have and download the binary from the app , later the app doesnt have root rights
Me and another user (who pm'd me) are having a bit of trouble here. After following the steps SuperSU is reporting that "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. There is a problem!" It does appear to grant permission to other apps (tried su in terminal) but doesn't seem to actually be giving permission, terminal just hangs. Root Checker hangs as well. Any ideas?

Ok I'm having serious problems rooting my LG Nitro HD. I have tried Super One Click - Failed One Click Root- Failed the method where you use the LgSystemBackupTest.apk - Failed. The thing that all of things have in common is that they all say that they cant install busybox that they cant find a file and the permission to install is denied (missing ZergRush in the case of Super One Click Root).
My Lg Nitro was upgrade using the lg software to Ice Cream Sandwhich. The debugging was check off. Is there something Im doing wrong, How do I root this device. The Drivers are all there and installed to the lates version. If you give me instructions please tell me what charge option to choose when i plug into my computer. If you need any extra info please me know Ill be more than happy help, I just want to root my device and stay on ICS. hopefully the root suggestion or fixes that you guys suggest wont include me having to download SDK.

This will only work if you have ICS and don't want to install custom ROM's. If you do your device will have to be unbricked using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2044645
Then since you have win 7 follow these steps:
"1. Follow the guide on the first post of this thread and stop after step 10. (run before.bat)
2. For installing the KDZ follow this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149211. This is the process that works in Windows 7.
3. Continue with step 15."

There unfortunately is no way to create a backup without root. With that being said a program like super backup will at least allow you to backup your call logs, SMS, contacts, etc. But once you go through the guide you will have root and CWM.

You can only install a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP with gingerbread so you need to follow the unbricking guide I provided above, just skip to the point of running the before.bat file since you already have root. That is why you got the security error.

You still have to downgrade to gingerbread. When LG came out with ICS for our phones they, like a lot of manufactures, locked the bootloader so a custom recovery like cwm cannot be installed. A custom recovery is need to install a custom ROM like Cyanogen. Gingerbread does not have a locked bootloader so that's the reason for the downgrade. Since you said you have Windows 7 the kdz installer may not work. There are two solutions. 1) Find a Windows XP machine it will work perfectly or 2) look for the post under my name dated March 11 on this thread. I don't know the post number since I just use the XDA app but you shouldn't have trouble locating it. This provides the work around needed to make it work with Windows 7. Good luck.

RomRunner is to S-Off your device. You're already S-Off'd so you don't need it anymore. Don't run it.
Just flash SuperSU or SuperUser.
