This is just a port of the updated and modded Slim Bean from CDMA. It was initially a GSM ROM, then Curtis1973 ported it to CDMA and updated it and made it better. I did a CDMA to GSM conversion of it because it has less bugs and is faster, and themed as well.
Thanks to:
Lloir for original Slim Bean GSM ROM and CM10
maxwen for HELLBOY kernel
Curtis1973 for the GSM to CDMA conversion guide and modded and fixed Slim Bean.

I hoped U say me some things that will make me thinking about trying that re-newed Slim Bean You're same user as me and many people... we just may have some diffrent opinions about some things
Random reboot solved??
No random reboots on cdma end,the soft reboot is not really a bug but just how slim bean works. Moving apps to sd card causes the soft reboot,after soft reboot you can connect to usb. If you do not want a soft reboot,dont move apps to sd card. Ive looked for a possible way to stop the reboot but every thread ive read states its just how this version of slim bean works.
Thanks for the port firmware!!
Hope to have updates!?!
Whoop, this seems to work well on my phone. Thanks for the port. Only issues I had was monkeying around trying to remove some non-essential gaps.

I see no reason why you guys cant get updates. From here forward the only updates will be something that can easily be dropped right into the gsm version. When I do an update I will let you guys know and add a link to the files needed to add to your saved download.

There's many apps that can change font (on my old SE X8 I was using Blade font ), but you have to find and download font that you wish to apply
Yeah I searched some of the apps in play store. But was shocked to see some of the reviews as they bricked their phones by using those softwares. So little hesitated.

Soft reboot is known and I can't work on it because I have school today. To chnage the font just add the CM10 fonts folder.

Is it JB? If so, they might have ripped off Andromadous team a bit (no roms based on test builds policy/wish). Then again, Chinese. MIUI started pretty much as CM rip-off violating GPL.

lol they used virtuous 3.0.41 kernel and some sense framework here and there. also it has sense 3.6 camera. if its stable, would easily be the best rom possible for our devices.
its android 4.0.4 btw.

I just flash it!
Everything as expected except one strange screen after first boot. I had to remove the battery... because this strange screen (a rectangular shape, like a cell phone, with android logo inside) was covering the lockscreen and I couldn't get rid of it! :cyclops:
After that everything seems to be just fine...
Keep testing!

Hey guys, please notice that the rom is not official, I just ported it from the offcial MIUI for DS. Also there is some bugs such as wifi hotspot etc. I will be very appreciate if anyone can help me get rid of the bugs or add more English support!
If you find any bug, please tell me, i will geit rid of it as possible as i can!
I found what was the strange screen appeared after first boot! "Prevent misoperation"!
I had to disable it (Settings - Display) because the unlock combination (Back + Volume Up) doesn't work...
Maybe is my fingers!
well seems like this too have the battery drain while listening to music through headphones problem.
im not suprised actually, because its 3.0.41 kernel. all roms with this kernel will have this problem untill Flemmard fixes it.
Oh man, i was about to go ask on Q/A if all the miui roms for our phones have been discontinued/are there any left. because i'm getting tired of stock ICS/nova launcher. And now here's this, looks promising. Might flash tonight or wait for next update if theres smth missing here. This does come in English right?
by default will be installed in Chinese
but you can switch to English.
except some apps, almost everything will be in English
btw, flashed yesterday evening, until now seems to be very stable

Hey,
I had a horrible bootloop-infection on my phone today for no reason; maybe its the sign to replace the Rom; i had a milestone 5 from AOKP [ around june WTF??!?) installed and was enjoying it till this day;
I was waiting for the last 4.2 Rom update from AOKP but since no update for the last month i decided to get something new and fresh instead, so thought to come back here and ask you guys thos flash junkies or just people who realy enjoy their current ROM;
I wasnt here for 6 months due to studying in the university so most of the names are new to me in the Development section that's why i realy need the help to choose;
I dont need much only good battery life; option to remove the notification bar and to have the navigation bar transparent or invisible;
Currently sitting with 4.0.2 clean recovery Rom that i made on the start of February o0 build waiting for responses;
Thank you;
Well, I am not using any of these custom ROMs so I am always supporting the idea of going over the main thread of the most popular ROMs in the development section then choosing whatever seems reasonable to you. Try it, then if any complaints then go for another.
If you really want a 4.2 AOKP ROM, then check this
I hope you have a break from the university so you can play with these custom ROMs
Thank you ahmadallica;
I'm studying software engineering so my free time is for sleep only currently thats why i ask for guidance due to the fact i dont have much time to test each Rom;
The Rom you gave looks realy nice from the outside but sounds more of a huge nightly build instead of a stable one, with so many stuff missing and probably he just uses the AOKP frame without adding/updating/changing any stuff moreover the lack of changlog and an overall [work/not work] stuff that the rest of the Rom developers show suggesting its just an amateur one; i really appreciate this dude's hard work but i need something stable for half a year and not to be one of this Rom testers;
Highly recommend paranoid android, been through leads of custom ROMs and I've stuck with this the longest ... give it a go, excellent team and excellent ROM

Paranoidandroid is definitely the way to go. The new version is still in beta but almost completely stable in my opinion. Themes are hit or miss at this stage of the ROM but yes, you can adjust the colors for the navbar, statusbar, navigation icons and statusbar icons within each app. It can be found in settings/paranoidpreferences/apps.
I've been using this rom since v1.98, it's now at 2.99 BetaNINE and I have not looked at anything else.
*Sidenote, PA used to be CM based up until version 2.54, starting with 2.99 Beta1 it is now AOSP based for a smoother and faster experience with better battery life. This is why some features are not yet added back and other things are not fully perfected (i.e. themes).
The problem with themes is that with every new Beta of PA comes some new code and the themers cannot always keep up with every new release so a lot of themes end up causing issues. I would just customize as I recommended above for now and once AOSPA 3.0 is released PA will be out of beta and easier to find compatible themes.
Yes you can adjust the colour of the status bar and nav bar for each app individually from with the hybrid engine within the rom... Most play store themes support it too... anything else just let me know
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Thank you dankblaze for all that info;
I realy dont need that much of customization just that all bars/system/screens be with the same color and to be able to adjust that 1 color myself;
Is that possible in the new 2.99 or should i get the 2.54?

Personally, I like TWRP so check this on how to install it easily. Take note that if you have CWM nandroid backups then they will NOT be compatible with TWRP because it has its own nandroid backups.
As for kernel, just try them till you find a suitable one
Thx bro, i might give it a try tho is there something wrong staying with CWM ? i dont care much for the backups im gonna format it anyway. but i read inside you say it not for Gnex and thats its only for the Nexus 4? is that true?

No no. That was for the other member in that thread who was mentioning a Nexus 4 version. TWRP works on both of them. Basically just download the Goo Manager app then it will install the correct version automatically just follow the steps to save some time for your software engineering studies
I will copy the steps below so you don't have to worry about that link in my previous post.
1- Run GooManager app
2- Click on the upper right 3 dots for settings
3- Click "Install OpenRecoveryScript"
4- Confirm Recovery Install --> Yes
5- Confirm download, reboot, and install --> Yes
6- A download process will start then it will be installed
7- (Optional) Reboot into recovery to ensure that TWRP is successfully installed and working.
And no there is nothing wrong with CWM, I just personally like TWRP
If you are staying with CWM, then just update it to the latest version before installing any 4.2 ROM. I think installing/flashing the latest CWM recovery can be done easily using the "ROM Manager" application from the Play Store
Jb sorcery latest is great and has every tweak you can think of, very stable and they have inverted gaapps!!!

I recommend using TWRP. There were some problems with multiple media folders being created when flashing with CWM. I know latest TWRP did not have this problem. Don't know if latest CWM still does this or not.

Many people who have bought phones from the US and are using them outside of US, are having problems with connecting to the Wifi. For me it started to happen on OGP after Jan 21, 2014 CM11 nightlies.
A workaround was to check anyone of the countries in the settings>wifi>advanced> Region codes. Problem was that this region code would not persist after a reboot and you would have to go through the settings again.
The reason for this problem is the change in code in the MccTables in system>framework> telephony-common.jar which queries the SIM for the locale and since the locale codes in the SIM do not match the Wifi codes in the MccTables, the region does not persist as a permanent entry.
All credits to the dev who figured this out in the HTC sensation Forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368501
The method that this dev has posted is based on adding a line in the MccTables which skips the locale checking from the SIM during startup and so the Wifi is able to scan the available networks and connect to the desired one.
The telephony-common.jar is slightly different in different custom roms, therefore we need to patch this file for the individual Roms.
Attached below are the zip files which can be flashed in recovery right after flashing the rom if on a new installation or can be flashed at any time on an older installation in which case after reboot it stops for a while at android is upgrading and then boots normally into the rom.

Added new Version for newer CM11 nightlies
Note: A wiki page on this problem also provides a lot of insight into this problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/WiFi_regional_problem_on_Android#CyanogenMod_based_ROM
Note: The CM11 patched file works on the Mokkee nightlies as well.

The flashing zip package that I used is an old vr theme package. It just says that its theming when actually it is replacing the required file in the system>framework.
The rationale for using this workaround is that if we keep flashing the old kernel we would miss out on all the new changes that are incorporated in every build.
You don't want to be left happy with an old kernel on a spanking new build.

Hey it isn't that bad. We flash the rom, gapps, sometimes supersu, so flashing another zip is not going to mess up your whole day.
The reality is that any workaround this problem would involve some work. You can't complain at a simple process which rids you of a problem which cannot be solved in any other way and gets you to enjoy the finest and brightest of latest kernel/rom development.
BTW the only other way to get out of this mess is to go to the US and get an AT&T connection.LOL

Not all phones have this problem and also a lot of custom rom devs apply this patch directly in their roms.
I have an S3, S4, HTC One, Note 2, S2 Skyrocket, Nexus4 and none of them have this problem. Even on OGP this problem started from CM11 Jan 22, 2014 build. The Jan 21st build flashes without this issue.
Flashable zip added for new Commotio Rom Nightlies
Any chance to apply the patch to a stock rooted rom?

I was playing with some apps and files from Android L and I finished doing this lol I hope Enjoy it as much i do make this stuff
Thanks to CyanogenMod for the Base
if you want full experience enable On-screen Nav Bar
also for the new keyboard you have to go to Settings>Language & input>Google Keyboard then scroll all that way down till Advanced settings>Color Scheme and select Material
as always do a BACKUP and full format no your Internal Memory but you know that
NOTE: THIS IS NOT ANDROID L IS CM11 THAT LOOK LIKE ANDROID L
Download it from here
Nice. Can you specify in the thread title that this is not Android L?
This is pretty awesome. I love the look. Can I ask a favor? Would you mind doing the same thing to a newer version of CM11? I see the kernel is from June 8, is that the build you used as a base? In the official CM11 thread Shelnutt said that the data issue was fixed in newer nightlies. The issue is that for us 3G users we keep getting a FC for the phone UI. It happens when mobile data is on. It used to be able to be fixed by replacing the apn config file. I am going to try and I will let you know.
Thanks for the time you put into this.
Ill Try to do it as soon as i can =]

Can you tell us the modem of this Rom?
Am about to download it and test it.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Free mobile app
Can you post some screen shots.
Yes screenshots would be great. The fact this has WiFi Calling makes it a worthy candidate.
But good work g7755725. You're pushing out good looking ROM's left and right. :highfive: I'd like to try this one. What minimal bugs are there?

Could the browser and keyboard be fixed by installing different ones from the Play Store? And then removing the stock browser and keyboard to prevent any more errors?
The wallpaper error sounds strange. Might easily be bypassable by using a third party app like Quickpic to apply both home and lock screens...maybe?
If I was a dev I would help fix the bugs most definitely. I hope somebody comes along and assists you. Looks like a worthy ROM.

Well myself and others appreciate your work. Dev for the T-Mo firmware-based ROMs seems to slowly be declining. You seem talented with your work so don't stop. :highfive:
Also I noticed you said this is run with NH7? That's mildly outdated. Your ROM doesn't flash the modem right? Also what about making the settings look like the S5? Would that be possible too? I understand some submenus like fingerprint scanner settings and download booster won't work. But it'll add to the experience. There might even be a way to remove those submenus all together.

What official firmware are you talking about? You cannot flash that firmware on our device as that firmware is for the I9505 International variant. You can flash a ROM BASED on the I9505 firmware, but you cannot directly flash a firmware for a different phone. The only available firmwares you can flash for our phone are here:
