So after months on lurking through the forums I've been wondering what you guys think is the most stable ROM for this phone.
Whether it be Android 4.1, 4.2, 4.3
Stability as in , no app crashes(4.3 currently causes instagram & snap chat to reboot the phone), battery life.
I'm thinking of trying CM 10 Stable on 4.1 , I'll post stats soon. [Screen on time is welcomed]
What do you guys think is the most stable ROM? (If you use a custom kernel, be sure to let us know)
In My Opinion
Been Using This Rom Since It Returned To 4.1.2,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124754
Its 4.1.2 Touchwiz But Themed As CM10, Fully Stable. Best Rom Out Today I Feel.
I would recommend SlimBean. Runs stable and also the accu drain is good.

I've had bad problems with that ROM with the DPI being to big but that was four months ago. I'll be sure to give it a try.
AOSP and TW welcomed.
Changing DPI is no Problem with SlimBean if it is too small. Just give it another try.

"Stability" is really up to the users perception and how they use their phone.
These threads soon spiral into arguments about all the wonderful work of users and become a "beauty pageant" of what is best.
Users are encouraged to read and make this determination based on their own independent usage.

Hey just wanted to make a thread for people to post their benchmark screens and maybe we can compare them to GB ROMS and see the difference.
Here are a few screens from the antutu benchmark app

Here's from quadrant

I tried out Raver's blackedition ICS port, I would score 3600~ish(1.5Ghz stock) on Quadrant. I flashed back to GB though due to how glitchy the ROM felt to me and lack of wifi calling and flash.
On GB I score around 2800~ stock speeds.
Can't wait for a stable release of ICS. haha
I got around 3800-3900 quadrant on Easydoesit ICS around 3200 on Tuesday GB (my DD).
Scores mean nothing.....don't know why this is even cared about

A fixed version has been out for a few days already man, with the patch already applied to the ROM. I'm running it now and getting 4000's easy.
The ICS ROM updated from stock after 2hours when purchased and switched on.
Here is the benchmark screen seconds after installation:
Second screen is after ~month with lots of apps, games etc installed (but still on Factory Rom)

But seriously, grats, read the rules, check Android Development forum and choose a ROM yourself. There is no best rom and even asking for one will get people yelling at you.
Have fun!

hey buddy glad to see you here and glad you finally managed to get your One X. best rom is really one that you find for your needs. all roms are great really. but ARHD is one of them which is basically stock with modifications by one of the true greats of the HTC dev community and also PKMN rom which is a rom full of tweaks and mods to have your ears burning from happiness..but best to find one rom and kernel combo that you are happy with as what we might suggest you might not like
eheh, goku I sold my rezound to get the one x, but I'm very desapointed with battery, i've got 6h/5h battery life with heavy use
right now I've install the Android Revolution 7.1.0 I will see if have any probleme with this roms and battery performance
And so it begins.
Where's erklat when you need him??
Where did you buy it? Should wait some time until unlock the bootloader.... Warranty void... I had 11 HOXs and im close to number 12
More info: u got my msn

So my Nexus has been under repair for the last two weeks. Just got it back last night.
When I sent it in for repair there were only a handful of roms, now there are like ...lots.
So, was wondering, what is considered right now by the Verizon community for the Nexus, the most complete, feature rich, stable working rom for Jellybean?
I know it's a loaded question, but hopefully someone can give some insight
you should trie this one!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613902
I`m using the maguro version and its great!!! its almost nothing you cant change on this rom!! It is simply amazing:laugh:

If you are interested in Jellybean, I would suggest Eclipse Jellybean. I have flashed Paranoid and Vicious and they are both very good ROMs but I really like the included features and continuous updates of Eclipse. I am on verizon as well and have had zero problems with the exception of the custom navbar utility. Not the navbar itself, mind you, just the utility that allows you to customize the softkey icons on the fly. Otherwise, the features are great and they don't include a ton of useless features and mods that will add to instability, kill your battery, or just slow your phone.
Well, I think that ParanoidAndroid is one of the best rom.
The hybrid mode made your phone looks completely different. It's awesome.
It's based CM10.
The thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619582
Unfortunately, not everything is so good in this rom. The actual versions are not very stable (maybe for the CM kernel). I would recommend to wait untill ParanoidAndroid 2.0 (which should be very stable).
This is an example of how my Gnex looks like:

Which ICS or jelly bean ROM for wildfire s gives the best battery life plz do post ur fav ones here so that everyone can be in notice plz

I think it could be CM 9.1.0 by modpunk: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633198 because I used it for a long time before Jelly King and it was really good battery life (about 2 days without charging). But mostly, all CM 9 and 10 roms have similar short battery life.
Hello,
You first must consider how much you use your handset daily. Heavy usage can decrease your battery life very quickly due to heavy browsing (not just on the internet). I've used the ROM mentioned in this thread for about a week and one can't deny that it gives great battery performance, but if I were to say what ROM I think, personally, gives the best battery life, I'd have to say the CyanogenMod 7.2 unofficial port, purely because less resources are used.
However, both ROMs may give the same good battery life. It all boils down to how much you use your phone.
CM 10.1 has better battery performance than even sock rom

It all depends on your usage dude. I am using marvellous aroma cm 10 and it gives me battery life of around 12-14hrs. I keep wifi always on when at home. Also GPS always stays on.
One thing is sure that you can't get better battery with jelly bean/ ICS than GB.

You can . But it depends on usage and configuration like you said.

I used almost all ROMs here, and I think that modpunk's CM9 is the best in working time
i believe
i believe that is the jelly bean but the ics already good
I thought this was maybe worth making a topic for so we could report together what experiences are on this..

I'm surprised that this actually works! The speed all around has improved and the lag that I used to have when updating apps is gone! That lag made the phone unusable for me. Glad its not happening anymore.

Somebody should make a flashable "lagfix" zipfile for this. That would be practical.
Anyways I'm testing the new heapsizes out too, will report later. I'd like to hear what a dev thinks about this too.

Only changed the values via build prop editor a few minutes ago so need some time to determine wether it does something or not.
Do any of you know more about this ? Tried it ? Maybe a dev can give us some more insight ?

Not at all, it's just annoying to see 3 threads with moaning about 4.2.2 and every new magic buttery fix that comes weekly.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'm trying that "fix" from some days, and do you want a true and honest opinion?
It doesn't produce any difference at all.
Probably and theoretically with that fix you should have more free ram when you opened a lots of heavy apps during a day, but it is not cause any real benefits
How people can say that with the fix you don't notice lags when installing apps? That's impossible to solve by changing heap grow limit.
On android right after the app is installed, the system generate the dex "executable" file in the dalvik cache..that is a particular "heavy" operations, as today mobile hardware, and always caused the system to lags on that occasion
Every Operating System "lags" in certain conditions, more or less. The more you use it, the more you see its limits.
