I thought this was maybe worth making a topic for so we could report together what experiences are on this..

I'm surprised that this actually works! The speed all around has improved and the lag that I used to have when updating apps is gone! That lag made the phone unusable for me. Glad its not happening anymore.

Somebody should make a flashable "lagfix" zipfile for this. That would be practical.
Anyways I'm testing the new heapsizes out too, will report later. I'd like to hear what a dev thinks about this too.

Only changed the values via build prop editor a few minutes ago so need some time to determine wether it does something or not.
Do any of you know more about this ? Tried it ? Maybe a dev can give us some more insight ?
Yawn, this was posted in the other thread already.

Not at all, it's just annoying to see 3 threads with moaning about 4.2.2 and every new magic buttery fix that comes weekly.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'm trying that "fix" from some days, and do you want a true and honest opinion?
It doesn't produce any difference at all.
Probably and theoretically with that fix you should have more free ram when you opened a lots of heavy apps during a day, but it is not cause any real benefits
How people can say that with the fix you don't notice lags when installing apps? That's impossible to solve by changing heap grow limit.
On android right after the app is installed, the system generate the dex "executable" file in the dalvik cache..that is a particular "heavy" operations, as today mobile hardware, and always caused the system to lags on that occasion
Every Operating System "lags" in certain conditions, more or less. The more you use it, the more you see its limits.

no roms?? wtf?? clearly u dont look
Because HTC phones like the Rezound are easy to root.. hahahah
There are a few roms in active development in the Development section. We even had ROM mods, kernels, etc before the phone hit shelves (Thanks Modaco!). This is a very exciting device for development because of the tallent it has attracted.
maybe because its realy expensive, and most of the devs need money to buy it? check out franciscofranco's kernel thread... he's developing without a phone...

Maybe because you need to put up some glasses and do more research and look in the development part of this forum...

There is a thread in general discussing this very thing. But no, this being a question should be in qna or general..
The reason I posted here was because I am willing to help out with anything I can to get this accomplished. Sorry.. I know how to do Android apps... But never attempted a ROM..

Since you are a developer may be you can contact jerdog he is the moderator..regarding ICS I think they are building a base so when Samsung releases the code, or leaks rom , they can build roms faster...there are two parts as far as i understand one is kernel development and one is rom and ril etc..SteadyHawkin is working on kernel and Viperboy is working on the other part i think, there are other developers too like Calkulin,Phantom etc I am not listing everyone...but you can talk to them about your past experience and may be they can let you know how you can be a part of their development team,,I am not a developer so can not tell you more...But I will tell you they are all very smart and good guys..
Closing this thread after cleaning out all of the junk. The OP's question has been answered.
Do you all seriously not understand what it means to NOT troll? You have the trolling down to a science.

It runs smooth when you get GB 2.3 or maybe older version....what do you think when you bought an WP OS and then run Android OS?
So you should buy an IMAC and install Window, LOL.

Mee Go and Windows Phone 7 are very different OS... nokia 900 still dont have custom ROM and you are hoping to load Android...
Best rom. You find this phrase in every thread. I just don't like these types of comments. They are simply lies. The best rom is the one you like and you don't need to say loud.
Just say Thanks to the devs.
At least with the gnex people have lots of ROMs to argue uselessly about. Many phones only have the ROM they came with, and don't even get CWM to back it up with. One of the many reasons I'm glad to own a gnex.
Sooooooooooo.....whats your favorite Rom?

pointless threads. You find these threads in every forum. I just don't like these types of threads. They are simply pointless. The best thread is the one that actually communicates something and you don't need to make threads like this.
Just ignore the best rom comments.

lol I'd take that challenge, I've got blackbean flashed with trinity and I am loving it, plus I've got one of those insane pulley arm working out things like Stallone had installed in his 18 wheeler on perhaps the greatest movie ever made "Over the Top"
The best rom is the one thats not built yet.. Everyone is diff with diff tastes,, So you will get a million diff answers to that question.. stock rom is nice. or BAMF or paranoid etc.. just try them all and find one that fits you..

It took almost 10 years to come out with what they consider a stable version for the pc. I don't see it coming to phones any time soon.
Hell, I have to run quite a few plug-ins just to make ffx and ff12 run good on my comp and I have a pretty decent rig.
