Best Keyboard App - Nexus 7 (2013) Themes and Apps

What is the best keyboard app for you?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4

for phones it AI plus keyboard beacuse of the numbers keys on top row for texting, for tablets i think swiftkey tablet is nice or swype

You can try "Tablet Keyboard (pro)" for N7

Yes, tablet keyboard pro is very good.

I have purchased both versions of SwiftKey. It works great on my Galaxy Note 2 (phone version), less so on my Nexus 7 (tablet version). I don't really like the split keyboard for the tablet, but I REALLY like the word anticipation features, I can send messages on the phone very quickly, but since I don't message on the tablet that is not as useful.

Swiftkey & Swiftkey Tablet, now that they can cloud sync the prediction database between all your devices it is a no brainer.

I use the Adaptxt keyboard on my droid, it's cool and smart. It's a must try:bit.ly/adaptxt-beta-android
This pic is from my phone cuz my tablet is out of reach but looks just as good. I made the the theme on it. Its free but for 99 cents it lets you make your own themes easy plus it works amazingly good!

Stock! All the way. I've found the stock android keyboard to not only be the best looking but I've found it to be the most practical. I've tried many keyboards but always end up deleting them and going back to ole faithful Can't beat it...

Has anyone tried minimal keyboard?

nice work!!!!!!!!!!

While I quite like Swype on my phone, I have found it doesn't work so well on tablets. After trying most of the options out there I settled on Kii Keyboard.
If you set the theme to Holo it is almost identical to using the stock keyboard, with the exception of having long key presses for symbols on all the keys. So if you like the stock keyboard and just wish it was a bit more configurable, check it out.

New touchpal is very very good.

I had thumb keyboard. But no Swype function. So I went with Swiftkey. But no copy and paste option. So I settled on Swype. It has everything I need.

Stock Swype vs Swype Beta

Let's get some feedback here on what you guys prefer and why. Thanks

I have the swype beta installed on my mom's thunderbolt, and it works well. But I much prefer the look of the Swype that's made for the Nexus S, the one included in teh Unnamed rom, http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/6549/swype.png . I like the way it looks, the only thing I don't like anymore about the new Swype keyboards is the inclusion of the language button, I only type in English, so I don't want the option to switch languages lol.

Absolutely love any version of Swype. Though I'm also starting to dig SwiftKey X, just takes some time for the app to learn my word usage to increase prediction probability.

[Q] Best System Keyboard for SGY

First of all, I already know that there is a thread similar to this in another section of the SGY forum, i think its in the apps and themes section and the OP is kishore555?
The point of this thread is just to ask your opinion about
"What is the best keyboard for SGY that can be pushed to system/app?"
I am currently loving smart keyboard pro, but the problem is that i am looking for a keyboard similar to it that i can push to system/app. Im not really a fan of swype or any other keypad types, i also like the stock keypad but the looks ugly in my opinion...
So please do share with me a keypad that can be pushed to system/app..
Thank You..

It has predictions and stuff. I've disabled everything and made it smaller. It looks pretty good. But it ain't meant for performance and useability.
Swift key x owns any keyboard.. The ui is not that bad but the predictability is more than awesome.. Just the best one for fast typing.. Other alternative is smart keyboard pro but swift key x is just wayyy above any other keyboard due to its awesome word prediction..

smart keyboard pro is still the best for me
Using Ultra Keyboard, the dev is very active and always listens to suggestions. Very nice guy who is very dedicated to further develop the keyboard to its fullest. I have suggested the tap time out and several other small things and he managed to slip them in on the previous updates.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283150
Also have modded the keyboard to suit my needs better and I have totally forgotten about searching for better keyboard from the market everyday.

I am using this on my Galaxy Y in portrait mode, and I just love the half qwerty layout coming from the BB Pearl series phone and I dont think that I have ever typed a message in landscape mode because there is no need for it with Ultra Keyboard.
I also like SmartKeyboard, but it has this problem of not showing the preview of the letter you are typing on password fields when in compact qwerty layout. And the dev is no longer present in their forum.

I don't really like the green text on grey bg. Also, it's a shame there's no front page if an user's country only has apps enabled (at least I don't have it).

Best keyboard?

Any recommendations on best keyboard for LG pro?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
I've tried many different keyboards and I always seem to come back to Swype. Slide style typing has always been a lot faster and usually more accurate for me. Swype ends up being the winner due to the accuracy and the handling of punctuation. One feature that I love is the ability to add 's to any word that you just typed. I haven't figured out how to do that easily on any of the others. I also like the alternative word suggestions for the word I just typed in case it was close to another word, I can switch it quickly. Seems like some of the other prominent sliding keyboards are to heavily focused on next word prediction that it makes it harder to easily fix the current word.
thanks form the feedback. I wonder if you have tried Fleksy?

Stock keyboard on the G Pro is admittedly terrible-- small keys, autocorrect is atrocious.
Although it seems like I'm the only one who prefers the Android AOSP keyboard over every other keyboard on the market-- I've tried them all, on multiple devices, and keep going back to Google's keyboard for the accuracy I have when typing, key layout, and autocorrect functionality.

GUYS! the new home launcher is sooooo smooth, i have some problems with it opening keyboard but it will be fixed when the "real" version is released ofc. BUT DAMN SO SMOOTH!! it really rendering the UI just like next 3d launcher doing. Awesome.
BTW guys, download greenify so you can hibernate all apps you have downloaded, my nexus 7 now is smoother than ever, and it's using around 250-300mbit ram
Did anyone tried this apps on 10" tablets? 1280x800 res
Will try later but would love to know if I can install these on my TF300T. It should since the res is the same as Nexus 7
So I tried this on an AOSP ROM I am running on my EVO LTE and everything works perfect except the clock (wouldn't install) and I didn't try the calculator. The launcher works perfect and so does the keyboard and I never see the keyboard pop up on this new launcher when I press the home button. Its flawless.
Going to install this stuff on my Nexus 7 when I get home.
