TMO Note 2 on AT&T tablet plan? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Has anyone tried this? I know the $30 TMobile plan is a better deal but I may be moving in the next year and that may not be an option.

Don't buy it from AT&T. Try ebay.

att prepaid plan on att s3

hi everyone,
i plan to get the red s3 from craigslist, but i have tmobile service, but there is currently no available tmobile modem to flash on the att s3. so im planning to get an att prepaid sim, i see online that its 50 bucks, but the terms and conditions state that if its a smart phone, i will have to pay 25 extra for 1gb data? so if i dont pay extra, ill have edge? is there a work around for this?

[Q] T-Mobile Note 2 and International Note 2 price difference

I'm sorry if this was posted elsewhere, I searched but couldn't find this question answered.
Last week I sent my girlfriend into a T-Mobile store here in RI to check out the Note 2. I was at work so I wanted her impression. She fell in love with it and now wants one. She's not a phone geek and always said she would prefer a flip phone if she could text on it,so I didn't think she would think too highly of it. I really wanted her input on how big it was
I figured I'd buy it for her for Christmas. T-Mobile store wants over $700 and the best International Note 2 price I've seen is $600 on special at Newegg.
I'd prefer the T-Mobile version for the future LTE but the extra $150 is a lot.
Any ideas on how to buy a T-Mobile version without paying over $700?
Also, are the benefits of the T-Mobile version worth the added cost?
Depending on where you live tmobile more then likely tmobile has not finished refarming 1900mhz in your area in that case the International note will only be able to get on edge before tmobile finishes their modernization. This is of course assuming you want to use it for on tmobile or an mvno.

T-Mobile note 2 have the correct frequencies to operate in Tmobile's hspa+. International note 2 you will most likely be stuck with 2g speeds.
If you plan to use Tmobile's data plan buy the Tmobile version.

We have the T-Mobile data plan.
I was hoping to spend $600 or so, that's not remotely possible paying retail.
I've seen some international note 2 for around $550 on eBay storefront for dailysteals.com.
However saving $150 would be pointless for me as I value data speed the most. I use upwards of 50 gbs monthly.
If you don't care as much about data speeds and streaming the savings may be worthwhile to you.

Phone and service advice

Okay guys I have a dilemma that I've been thinking over. I currently have a Galaxy S3 with AT&T and im looking to buy a Galaxy Note 2. The thing is my wife has a iPhone 4(yes...I know...-.-) with Verizon and is looking to get a new phone and i also wanted us to be on the same plan and carrier.
Well I've been on AT&T since July of 2012 and she's been on Verizon since June of 2010. So of course the ETF for her would be way cheaper. But I'm really looking to switch back to Verizon. The issue is if I go to Verizon, I would pay my ETF for at&t and her ETF since she's on a plan with her mom. I would pay...say $270 for at&t ETF and $170 verizon ETF plus the new phone fees for a note 2 and iPhone 5 for the wife.....depending on what phone she wants. So an extra $500 with the ETFs. That makes it $940 to go to Verizon.
Now to stay with AT&T I'd pay $170 for Verizon ETF on my wife plus new phone fees. AT&T Note 2 would be about $580 - $650 on craigslist/swappa and say $200 for wife's new phone. That makes it around $1000 to stay with AT&T.
Now....a few REALLY important questions that I have for you guys. If I move my wife's secondary Verizon plan that has unlimited data BTW....to another Verizon new customer plan with two lines total.....do you think they wouldn't charge me an ETF for moving her from plan to plan? I mean its kinda making them more money. One by taking her off unlimited data and two by starting a new plan and adding two lines with new phones.
Another question....I know its kinda long guys....my apologies. If I stay with AT&T and buy a note 2 off swappa/craigslist/eBay....how do I place the phone under phone insurance? I currently have my at&t galaxy s3 under best buy mobile insurance. I don't think its possible to swap the insurance to another phone especially if its not bought brand new. I also did some research on adding at&t insurance but it seems that you can only add it 30 days after buying the phone new. I'd hate to have an awesome phone with no insurance on it. So any suggestions on what to do about that would help a lot.
I know its a lot to answer but I would appreciate as much information you guys can give me. Thanks

Which Note 4 Variant do I need?

I have been with AT&T for years. Two lines grandfathered unlimited and the other two I have to pay for data. Today Verizon came out with unlimted. I have a couple tablets on a Verizon plan and want to now switch my phone plan to Verizon and have unlimited for everyone. AT&T's service has been getting very bad for me over the last several years. Constant dropped calls and even though I have unlimited data, the signal is so bad I sometimes can't use it.
I am I die-hard Note fan. I had the first Note, the Note 2 and now the Note 4. On AT&T, I had to buy an outright 910C to be able to use AT&T. I am an engineer and must have rooted phones for some of the things I use. I refuse to use Note 5 for lack of sd card. I was so disappointed when the Note 7 failed. I use my stylus all the time so I really don't want to switch from a Note 4.
I am trying to figure out which variant of the Note 4 I need to work on Verizon's network. I know for a long time, Verizon's was un-rootable just like AT&T. Can someone point me to what I need to buy? Even if there is a Verizon version that is now rootable and that I can buy.
I've been researching most of the day today, but figured I would go ahead and ask since someone could probably more easily give me a definitive answer.
Thanks everyone!
