Just wondering if anyone is working on any stock based de-bloated E980 Roms..
I've always favored stocked based roms. They just seam to run faster/smoother??

This is not based on E980 its based off of E988. And has some Force close and playstore issues.
But thanks for your input..

Yes. Mine will be e980 based. It will roughly be the same concept though. Out with the bad in with the good. Better battery. Better performance. Etc etc

That link he posted isn't even a Rom. It's a restore. And it's not optimized even though it says that it is. Not to my level of debloated and optimized when I do my own stock anyways.

Well I use the Restore ROM it is better then the ATT stock but like mentioned some Google issues that u can fix easily thought. But I find the battery life is quite bad on this ROM to be honest.

I've been buried with the kids and work. I am still learning and trying to perfect but it will come. I've been running stock lately and love how much smoother it is than most ROMs I've tried. So I definitely want to get this out so others can know the magic and "Rock Out with your Stock Out"

I agree my previous device was a galaxy note GT N7000 the international version. And the touch wiz based roms felt so much smoother, faster and battery life is hands down better I'm my opinion...
I've pretty much tried all the CM based roms out for our G Pro and while I appreciate all the work those guys put into them I still prefer the stock rom...
Thanks for the update....

Any one willing to try a new kernel for me?
If so here's the link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/icsskyport/files/ICS-Port-Kernel.zip/download
This kernel has init.d and custom bootanimation ability. Please report back as I do not have my phone back yet to test myself.
Thanks

Try booting into the Rom after flash then go back to cwm. And flash kernal. This has worked for me before. In other cases. This will also tell you if its a Rom problem maybe you got a bad download.

I think you have to apply to be a recognized developer. I think that is kinda wierd. I would think XDA would follow my work and when they feel I deserve it, They will give it to me...

Seems like in general if you want good battery life go with a near-stock ICS rom, frosty is a good one but there are several to choose from. I'm currently trying serenity 1.2 LITE right now, it's pretty nice so far but I've only been using it a few hours.
After finally getting rooted yesterday (woohoo!), I flashed Stock sX v3.0. Awesome.

I would try anything from Wildchild. He mods stock ROMs both ICS and JB and they work great. I'm running the Xquizit xD v31(JB) and couldn't be happier. You can find it in the gs3 development forum.
Battery life is good and v 31 comes with all the tools you might need. You can also flash the Kitchen v 10 with it to customize your ROM.

Temporary do to someone stealing his work and it is a downer in general, besides we are on the verge of Official JB. So no point in spending so much time working on a rom that will be rebased and redone all over.

SGH-T989
ROM: SlimBean 3.1.0 Official
Kernel: 3.0.49-KingKangersOne.
Modem:T879UVLG3
Recovery: TWRP 2.3.1.1
- Jedi Jelly (Skyrocket) TouchWiz 4.1.2 (ptmr3)-----Haven't flashed this yet
- Jelly (Skyrocket) TouchWiz 4.1.2 LEAK (TheLastSidekick)-------Haven't flashed this yet
- Intergalactic Connectivity (Rushing)-------Very fast rom no "intergalactic connectivity" same tmobile meta redirect great reception no reboot to recovery cant really say anything else everything else is posted by dev.
- Official Slimbean 3.1 (Gmillz) ****ing amazing! super fast, lots of personalization features, sounds amazing with "pimp my rom" downloaded beats and poweramp combo (Best I've heard on any rom I've flashed) be sure to get Beats installer from play store for the icon follow the install instructions. Don't use any custom boot animations, they seem to all make the system become unresponsive right off the bat
- Unofficial Slimbean (onlychevys)-----Haven't flashed yet.
- Slim AOKP Light / Superlight (android88) ----Flashing next <3
- JediKnight 6 (Ptmr3)---Haven't flashed yet.
- Party boy v2.1 (thepartyboy)---Party boy 1 was a huge let down for me. Everything was force closing or freezing. Flashed it twice, meh. I'll wait for it to evolve.
- Lightning Zap Kernel Kang (Krazeecracker)-----Haven't flashed, not too big on ****ing with Herc's kernel, I leave that to the Dev in thier roms
- Kko Kernel KANG (TheLastSidekick)-----^^^^^^^^^
- Miui 2.12.7 (OxD34D)-----It's been a while since I've flashed Miui, not since thier earlier jb releases. Looking forward to it.
- All Star ROM v5 (Tmogalaxys2)-----Average rom, not bad or good really. everything worked had all the winning features from different devs. didn't wow me in any way though. Went back to Infamous 3.1 after a day. Btw, The Unicef Rom is the ****ing ****! I loved it, only reason I switched was to find a rom I could tether or hotspot with. (no such luck)
- LiquidSmooth Rc9 Kang (TheLastSidekick)----Haven't tried the Kang version yet.
--For fully functioning ICS rom straight out of the box, I will always go back to Infamous 3.1
--- So far, my JB preference is a toss up between SlimBean3.1 and TheUnicefRom10.5
I really enjoyed AOKP milestone1 official
OH YEAH!!! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CM10 BOOT ANIMATION!! CID FTW! THATS **** WAS LIKE GOING ****ING SUPER SAIYAN!! RED EYE CID IS BEAST!!

Well seems our man MikHail has gotten himself a job and stopped support for his AeonFluxx ROM and locked up the thread
This is the 2nd time a ROM I loved has lost its dev(Kyan was the 1st), so its off to look for a new ROM and I wondered where my peeps from Aeon are heading, birds of a feather and all lol... I'm all about performance and good battery minus the bling or dev injected themes which both Aeon and Kyan were also built on so I was wondering what good, stable, non-buggy ROM, performance enhanced and good battery life have you guys found??

+1 to that. I tried out the Wicked Sensations ROM but I didn't like the theme (a bit too much). And now I can't seem to find anything else that looks appealing. I'm probably going to stick with AeonFluxx for the time being.

Game performance-wise, original stock still seems to be the fastest for me. I was never happy with the gaming performance of this device to begin with, and original stock is the only thing that I can settle on. As far as regular phone use, they're all fairly similar. I'd probably go with CM just because it's been out the longest and has likely the most kinks worked out of it. Although there was one that had a nifty notification drawer color themer that I liked alot, but I can't remember which it was.

CyanFox 4.3 is my favorite so far. Beanstalk has a lot of features, but the fact that it feels like the dev team is trying to sell me in their rom turns me off so much.

There is no such thing as a best ROM.
The best ROM for you is the one you like the best,
after trying several for yourself.
