Can someone tell me if there is a software program that can be used on Samsung phones that all you have to do is plug the phone in, connect the phone and click a button to save ALL data of the phone.
Not user lever stuff but service level data.
Like creating a complete profile of the phone.
Thank you,
John
Are you wanting a system image equivalent or just backing up user data and apps?
I think he means everything underneath tge hood. Like meid bootloader haa keys. Pretty much everything. Op I am unsure because I have never needed it. But please give details to what exactly you are looking for.

I am looking for an app that will do 2 things for me.
I am talking about carrier specific data only, I think.
Like, MEID, MIN, MDN, AAA and HA keys, SPC, server addresses and the like.
I have all the standard software, like DSF CDMAWS QPST, and the like.and I
know I can go in manually and get the data.
But I want a program that I can just plug the phone in and click something
like... "Copy Profile" and it will copy ALL the data that would be needed to
flash a phone back to the same carrier.
I am not talking about cloning. I would change all the main data, MIN, MDN,
AAA, HA, and the like.
I have tried to use programs like QPST to just simply make a backup of a phone
but I can never get it to restore. If I could that would be all I needed.
I could judt make a backup of say MY phone and when ready to flash someone
elses phone, just load it up, make the nesscessory changes and click write.
Wa-La, done.
And to have backups of my own data off my phones of course.
Sorry again about the confusion.
Thanks,
John
If you ever find the program please post the name. I have no need to flash my phone but would love to have a complete profile of my phone for safe keeping. Goodluck.

Well... after thinking about my initial post, I realized I could have composed it better.
If someone knows of a CDMA service tool like, DFS, CDMAWS, QXDM, QPST or the like that would make a dependable backup (one where the restore actually works), that would be perfect, please let me know.
As long as it backed up EVERYTHING including the AAA and HA keys.
That would be awesome. That way, not only could I get a safety backup of my own phones but I could just load a profile on someone's phone, change appropriate data and wa-la, done.
Thanks,
John

What we probably need to do is just tweak CWM to include the additional partitions.
That would get all that you're looking for. You can also dd them via ADB and get what you need.
Thanks a ton for the kind reply and offer. That would be a good idea for CWM.
However, for me, I think I would rather have an installable Windows program.
And as far as the ADB method, would someone be kind enough to explain to
me exactly how that would be done?
Thanks alot guys/gals

Hey,
When I got my new Hermes I had to go through every single one of my contacts and change them from something like "P;John /M" to their regular names..I don't want to do this again, and would like to know how to save these when switching from WM5 to WM6..I tried searching and they were saying you can't just save the database etc etc because of changing formats so I need some help..
I don't have the data package, don't have anything on outlook set-up, but have a computer with activesync working, and also a 2gb card.
What would be the easiest way to save these while upgrading? Is there anywhere to look for step-by-step instructions so I can't screw anything up?
Thanks everyone!
You do use ActiveSync right ?
Also PIM Backup should work.
Yea, am I missing something? What is the best way to back these up so I can make sure everything is alright? Is there a really easy way to back up and restore my photos etc as well? I am just trying to drag them to another folder, and I think this is what I did on my original upgrade, but when I did it then I hadn't changed my contacts or anything else yet so I really am clueless.
I feel like a complete idiot..I have programmed in php/mysql and been on computers my whole life, and now I am asking people for help with the simplest of things.
You might want to take a look at this:
http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=40&Itemid=26
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705
http://www.google.com/search?as_q=b...rum.xda-developers.com&as_rights=&safe=images
By - the - way,
I found both of these using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298893
Sorry,
I actually already looked at that and was just stuck on this point..I still don't know how to save my contacts? The contacts at first came from my SIM with the formatting I talked about. I changed that, and don't know if I upgrade will they default back to the old things? Also how about the ones I saved to the phone and then put a default picture with them?
The thing I was doing was simply clicking the explore icon in activesync and then trying to drag the files in that folder into a new folder(which wasn't actually working at all)..I know I must be missing something simple, and I am sorry for bringing such a newbie question into a experienced users forum.
Thank you, I didn't ever see the google thing. I had searched the forums to no avail though. Thank you for the help and I will do the rest on my own
Oh Yea, Welcome to xda-developers.

I really like that Google Search.
Thanks to Mike the Mod.
ALL credit goes to sbrissen for completing this task. Without him my bounty thread would probably still be up and unresolved. Be sure to show him thanks as well!
I've been waiting to see what Sprint was doing with WiMax first before releasing this but now we know there will be no more WiMax smartphones... although I'm still waiting to see if they sneak the Samsung Note in with WiMax.
As the WiMax enthusiasts already know... we can edit 99% of the same values as the OG Epic already using both ##DATA# > View > WiMAX and ##DEBUG# menus. Possibly the most useful edit is setting the Entry Rx levels from -89 to -110.. allowing those in low signal areas to still jump on 4G. The big edit that was missing on the E4GT was the ability to edit the WiMax MAC address. This is what I'm sharing today.
UPDATE
This can also be done on AOSP ICS without the need for the attached apk(still no ICS Touchwiz option). I've personally only done this with CM9 built by darchstar or sbrissen.. but it should work for others.
1. Use an app such as 'Any Cut' from the market to make shortcuts.
2. When scrolling through all of the available shortcut options you will see WIMAX_CFG and WimaxHiddenMenu. Make a shortcut to each.
3. Use WIMAX_CFG to set the Realm. Use WimaxHiddenMenu to set the MAC.
4. Hit the THANKS button because I'm jawsome.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Download the attached file and unzip
2. Replace unzipped file w/the file in /system/apps. make sure permissions are correct(Root Explorer makes this EZ)
3. Go to the dialer.. enter ##DEBUG# > WiMAX CT > Open Device.. Edit MAC and hit set. Done.
This will work on all Touchwiz based roms released up until this point(with unmodified dialers). I can not promise it will work on upcoming ICS Touchwiz builds and it will definitely NOT work on any current/future AOSP/MTD/Cyanogen builds!! If you do have a Touchwiz based rom but the dialer has been modified and does NOT allow ##DEBUG# to work.. use an app like AnyCut to make a shortcut to WiMAX CT instead. Again.. this will NOT work on non-touchwiz roms.

Thanks for this. I'm sure this will help a lot of people.
To get your MSL download Terminal Emulator from the Market. You MUST be rooted.
Open it and type:
"su" (for super user access)(don't type the quotes)
then type "getprop ril.MSL"
(then enter to get you Device's MSL code, NO QUOTES)
I know even though you stated in the OP not to ask someone will.
Thanks very much.

Not 100% sure but I believe it would remain untouched even after a ##786# reset.. just as the meid etc would remain untouched. resort to checking the label under your battery for original MAC
At the risk of being the first uneducated poster to ask the "what is this for" type question, I have to ask:
Will this do anything for me if Sprint has no 4G coverage in my area?

sprint/clear/comcast all share the same towers.. if you currently do not have coverage this will not help. Though I would not rely solely on their coverage maps. http://s4gru.spruz.com has detailed info in their forums on WiMax "Protection sites/Phantom sites" that list towers not listed by Clear/Sprint. Though if WiMax is NOWHERE near you.. this prob wont help... unless a local college or something is using WiMax.

if you have working 4G already then you dont touch anything... this is for those on other carriers or non-working WiMax 4G.

because i said what its for.. its for editing your mac address. editing mac addresses is a touchy subject so that's all that will be discussed on the matter. and just because it's in the General Forums does not mean technical knowledge shouldn't be required.

um, whatever
but you replied in the other post "this is for those on other carriers or non-working WiMax 4G"
If you had simply included that in your original topic, could have avoided some replies
Tis all
Its like this, I have great 4g but I went to a farmers market there a company was showing off their WiMax for gaming. The MSL was on the side. Theoretically, you can Crick that Mac on here and use it. I was seriously wondering if there is a mini throttle between Clear and Sprint. Straight Clear seems faster. This is not legal to do I believe unless you own another WiMax device like portable hotspots...

I am about to go insane. I am trying to play Suikoden I on my Android phone. I was using psx4droid, but the latest versions rarely work, so i've been using V2. this info doesn't matter. Here is where I need help.
I lost my save. Somehow it got corrupt. There is no going back. Lost everything. I am only a few hours away from beating the game. What I want to do is download a memorycard save file, import it into my android (galaxy s3), boot up FPse, and start from there. My whole goal is to play Suikoden II with a perfect import file.
I have been trying for hours to get this to work. I just simply don't understand enough to get this to work. I know almost nothing about all of this. I need help, pleeeeease.
Can someone take me step by step to get this to work. I have the downloaded save file (got it from gamefaqs). It is in a ".gme" form. I think i was able to convert it to ".mcr" correctly. But, I can't figure out where the memory card save file is on my Android. Is it in my internal or external data? My actual emulator and games are on my external.
I have something called "memorycard converter" to change gme to mcr. Again, don't know if I did it correctly.
I hope i gave proper information. If I am missing anything, I'm sorry. I will try my best to give more information. I will be back on at 5:30 central time 2/11/13.
Thank you

Memcardrex converts Dex drive saves to MCR saves. Look it up. Google is your friend.

If the save gets corrupted, try another program. Read
http://www.fpsece.net/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2248 that. It tells you where to put the saves after conversion.

Thanks for the replies. I finally figured something out.
There were no answers to my problems, anywhere lol. I figured it out by accident. There needs to be a "for dummies" version explaining things that are "simple" to you people. Not all of us understand the basics of this stuff. But I appreciate your help, and I'll try out the recovery idea.
I apologize if this in the incorrect location.
I just upgraded my GS9+ to the GS20 Ultra and everything went smooth except i can not for the life of me find a way to backup and restore my "Samsung Game Launcher" data. I have close to 2,000 hours of gameplay that i would like to keep historically. I feel that the only way to recover this data is to find the file in the folder structure and copy and past it into my new phone. Or theory number 2, i need to find the file that has the game data saved in it, open it with notepad++ and copy and paste into the file on my gs20 Ultra.
If anyone has found a solution to this it would be very much appreciated. I need to return my phone soon for the trade in so that is why im rushed to find a solution. Worst case, i will be making a full backup of the root folders of the phone.
Thanks for everything!

Shouldn't have to do this but are you rooted? Surely titanium would take care of this
Is there a cloud sync feature? Sounds silly in this day and age that this isn't covered, if you aren't already sign into your Samsung account, see if it's part of the back up.
Not sure about copying manually, so long as it doesn't check certain things about the device if was originally on like the IMEI / model number you should be fine.
No idea how to do that last method myself though.
Good luck man
Unfortunately it's not rooted. Don't really feel comfortable doing that to a $1400 2 day old phone. But that would simplify the issue.
I am logged into samsung. They literally do not have a backup/restore feature native to the app. I emailed them and that was their response.
I feel like the only way is to manually find the files. But I'm not an expert with this stuff by no means.

Crikey. No idea fella, sounds like a massive ballache.
So to start,
I'm not the typical "my girlfriends watching me" security hackz0r post.
I'm no expert or even close but I do have a general idea of what and how an Android should run.
I detected the device was playing up, slowing down, screen looking blurry. Odd icons in notification tray. But before I go into the things that I don't have data for.
What I do have data for and would appreciate input on is the following.
S20 Ultra Exy
Less than two weeks old
Cloned apps
Adjust system settings
Apps being given permissions and even admin rights.
I have tried to make sense of logs but it appears that the attacker is using a mixture of Dex, Java, Bluetooth and Odin in some remote access capability.
I have tried factory resets and the cloned apps which have been given there own emulated storage that I can't touch on the device.
An unlocked Odin Bootloader! (see pic) that's when I knew I needed more advice. From what I know once the Bootloader has tripped Knox and secure folder won't work.. SECURE folder appears to work..
Ive had apps go into desktop mode randomly..
Look I don't want to sound like that crazy tin foil hat guy, but It is becoming a trend in my trade. I've just listed some of the easily proved things.
I've uploaded logs and screens to the cloud and able to share with anyone who knows this stuff well.
Basically I've got an $1400 phone security marvel that appears to have been Bootloaded and maybe rooted remotely.
I have my suspicions at the office and I would like to try and trace the attackers location.
To be clear this device is no way associated with the infected.
That Bootloader was accessed just by going into the preload process I was planning on trying to wipe the cache and then saw it the Bootloading option and realised this is pretty serious...

whats the challenge? all that indicates is you pressed the buttons to enter dl mode?
meaning bl recovery mode set by key = you held buttons to enter download mode aka bootloader mode.. keys in this case mean the hardware keys i.e. vol buttons, power buttons are "keys"
Lol I was afraid I'd run into your kind...
Read the first post then get back to me buddy. Yeah great job on explaining the buttons I pressed during start up.....
I'm looking for someone who can identify the initial infection which has now been only stock wiped , and then remotely identify the person(s) and location of the initial attack. That person would need knowledge with Dex, Java, SSH, VPN and Tor....
So if you want to re read the first post, take it all in and realise I only showed you a Bootloader on my s20 ultra. Has this remotely deactivated the efuse or is it a well put together series Emulated system files either on my device or locally transmitted? (Data Transfer has been very unusual, last week)
Anyway bud if you can work it out I've got crypto ready
Atleast read the first post before commenting on a picture mate because you look a bit out of your depth now...

Hey, I only matched the attitude given to me! This forum is full of skilled Developers and I was hoping I explained and provided enough information and proof to separate me from the junk.
I was just lumped into the same category of everyone else... I realise there's a lot of... non white hats in here.
From what It looks like on the outside is I have been remotely attacked and bootloader installed. Im not sure if that's common knowledge? Seems like a game breaker. I literally cannot wipe my security s20 device of the infected system apps.
This is your domain, not mine. I wasnt going to back down to the stock standard response of these posts.
I know the device has been corrupted, fact. The pics prove it. Can anyone else get that on there 2 week old stock standard s20? I am still able to open SecureFolder also.
I don't know because information is hard to find. Feel free to PM me.
Thanks

You don't get help by "getting back" at someone who may have misinterpreted your question/problem, or looked at it from a different perspective. There are constructive ways to interact with others, and there are destructive ways to interact. You obviously haven't learned that life lesson yet.
Considering elliwigy has been a member since 2011 and is a recognized developer and retired moderator, I'll go out on a limb and say he probably has more experience with potentially corrupted/compromised devices than someone who joined xda this month.
Good luck with your phone.
See we must have very different views, because I see us all as equals. I was spoken down to and treated like everyone else. Honestly read the response and tell me how that was helpful at all to my post.
So if we are all equal I expect the same respect I give, I think the OP was well written, descriptive and provided proof.
You went out of your way to talk to me about life as if, because we disagree, I haven't learnt what you (better than me) have.
It's OK bud I've been on forums since forums were around I know the whole God complex some people get, Never understood.... so thanks for teaching me about life in Dev forum. I know its easy looking up methods and vunrabilities and infecting devices, and that makes you feel l337.
I think it'd be more l337 explaining to people how the **** a s20 has been compromised with a Bootloader while still having access to SecureFolder. Using some sort of Dex Module and Bluetooth module that have both been edited and converted to run in the system and remain hard to get.
So here ya go mate you want to teach me about life show me your qualifications, quickly explain how that would happen. Then once you've done that I'll thank you, apologise for being hasty under the circumstances and then compensate you what your worth.
Because right now it seems no one can explain or wants to explain (more likely) what has happened...
Anyway I apologise mate if you took it to heart, but I know what its like being the noob, during my research I saw a lot of short answers like I got and then they accept it and leave, I'm after a solution and would rather freelance than corporate. If this isn't the place to find the right Hat then let me know.
Here's a question to break it up
How long would something like this take to Analyize and discover first intrusion?
sounds like you need to odin flash OEM firmware, repartition and wipe
