Upgrade your firmware to B111 and then perform a factory reset. This happened to me once, and I was able to fix the issue that way.

Thanks for the info.
At first, i upgraded from System Update, Chinese version to B107. After a week i did a Factory Reset. It did not change anything.
Right now i am already on B111. I will do a Factory Reset again, but i don't understand the cause for not working on B107 with factory Reset...
Edit: Factory Reset done (from settings, not recovery), Notification Panel still unavailable...

I followed this thread, thanks to reyncla :good:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2410302&highlight=notification
1. Root your phone: http://androidteen.com/easy-one-click-root-huawei-ascend-p6-android-4-2-2/
2. Use for example Total Commander and go to Android Root directory, folder "Data"
3. Locate "custom.bin" file
4. Open it and remember the content. Mine says "unicom/cn"
5. Go one folder up and go to "Cust" folder
6. Locate "channel" folder and rename it to "unicom" (first part of custom.bin content)
7. Inside it locate folder with the name of your place of living (I chose "weurope", if you live in Nort america, choose "namerica" etc.)
8. Rename it to "cn" (second part of custom.bin content). Because there already was folder named "cn", I deleted it first
9. Perform factory reset
Now notification panel works fine.

that should not be ... is that the international version of B107?
try to make factory default, think that should work or try to reflash the B107 ...
good luck
Have disappeared because they match the folder path CUST.
First you must be ROOT
Second with Root Explorer app, go to the folder "data" and see the contents of custom.bin
Depending on the file custom.bin say, is as it should rename folders CUST.
For example if it says "Orange/dm", that means that inside the folder "CUST" the folder must exist "Orange" and within it another folder "dm".
If not there you can rename the folder "Channel" to "Orange" and within it you choose to rename the folder to "dm" much of the country that depends on where you live, could be renamed folder "namerica" to "dm" or "neeurope" to "dm"
Finally do a factory reset
Best Regards

Try installing B111 international rom and revert.
"custom.bin" method does not work. For some reason I have "unicom/cn" inside custom.bin. Tried to change custom to Orange/Dm does not work. Tried to rename Orange directory to "unicom" and dm Directory to cn does not work.
Anyway thanks

Of course, if it works, I've tried several times and if it works.
Maybe I did not understand the procedure.
I'll try to explain it better:
1. You must be ROOT
2. Having installed the app Root Explorer
3. Log in to Root Explorer and find the file custom.bin
4. You must remember the contents of this file.
5. Go to the root folder, using the Root Explorer
6. Go to the folder Cust
7. Rename the folders according to the content of step 3.
8. Perform Factory Reset
At no time should change the file contents custom.bin.
Best Regards
succed the process, but bring more painful problem.

Hello.
I purchased my P6 as soon as it was available. It came with B103 Chinese firmware (language set to English). I updated it to B107 International Version.
This caused the Notification panel to disappear. Note that with B103 I had ability to hide (v) the navigation bar (increasing view-able screen area) AND utilize the Notification panel.
I was able to regain the notification panel by creating a set of folders in /cust in the same structure that they were written in custom.bin
In my case custom.bin contained "unicom/cn" so I created /cust/unicom/cn. Then a Factory Reset, but it removed the navigation bar's ability to hide, (no ' v ' button).
I've since tried B12 and B14 (leak) to no avail. Any advice anyone has on getting both of these features working simultaneously would be great.

Where is cust exactly?
In /storage/emulated/0/cust/unicom/cn ?
And cn is just a folder or a file?

Hey guys I am making this thread no help with everything I can to people with the E980H.
Returning back to Stock:
This can be really easy or really problematic if something is wrong with the phone, but here is what helped me even in those hard times.
1) You necessarily need one of the KDZ files with our modem wich they are the Mexican or the one from Panama you can find them here (http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25).
2) Make sure you have a full battery always helps with the pesky LG Softwares.
3) Power-off your phones then go into Download Mode (+Volume + -Volume and insert USB cable while plugged in PC.).
4) In the Flash Tool make sure in the right upper corner you selected DIAG and in the left box 3GQCT.
5) Add the KDZ file to the flash tool (make sure you have a copy of the file because it erases the one you put in the program, helps fot those with slow connections as my self ).
6) Click on the Normal Web Upgrade Test box.
7)A new windows will pop in that one click Upgrade Start.
8) In select country choose Different Country and in language pick Spanish.
9) Wait for the S/W tool to finish.
10) After it is done go ahead and do a factory reset (-Volume + Power Button, hold them till factory reset text appear.).
That should cover the returning back to Stock part, I always do this process two time in a row just to make sure everything went down right but the second time instead of going to Emergency Mode, I choose to connect the phone in LG Software in the USB connection type menu.
Rooting:
1) Download this tool (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxGv8NM2g4yqUHRQdUF6S2J4QnM/edit?usp=sharing).
2) Turn on USB Debugging.
3) Make sure your phone is in MTP.
4) Open the Current Root.
5) Click Enter as prompted then wait for phone to reboot.
6) Update the SuperSu app
Pretty straight forward with this one. I recommend for a root explorer to use the ES file explorer it is free and has every tool you could possibly use.
Cleaning Bloat:
I would recommend just disabling the apps but if you like to delete them it is pretty easy using the ES file explorer.
1) Give root permissions to ES file explorer
2) Mount system as R/W
3) System apps are located at /system/app
4) Remove bloat make sure not to delete any LG or stock android app
That covers bloat
Roms:
This is a really everything can go south topic, so I am not responsible for anything you do to your phone. Personally none of the current ROMS beat Stock because they do not have all the camera options and i always had problems with the phone app but this can only be a problem of mine so feel free to try ever ROM compatible with our phone. Always make sure to make a Backup as soon as you can.
1) Download the next file (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxGv8NM2g4yqbFBMRG1kOUN3ck0/edit?usp=sharing)
Note: I use the old version because the new one gave me touch problems (Only in the recovery).
2) Put your phone in MTP in the USB connection menu.
3) Open Install_twrp.
5) Make sure you have the ROMS you are installing and the proper GAPPS (If wanted).
4) Click enter when prompted to go to recovery click yes. (If you click no dont worry just make sure you are rooted and download any reboot to recovery apps I like anreboot it has no weird permissions).
5) Select Wipe click on advance and wipe everything except for the SD card twice just to make sure (Know everything stored in the phone memory will be deleted).
6) Go back home.
7) Select install go to your file location and select your ROM and after your GAPPS.
8) Do a factory reset.
9) Flash you modem file to enable deep-sleep in some ROMS.
This covers almost everything I can help you with.
I remark I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone everything of the above I have tested it with my phone but there is a chance a unicorn licked your USB connection and something goes wrong. None of the tools are my work just sharing.
I SPEAK SPANISH SO IF THERE IS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT CLEAR I CAN HELP YOU WITH IT IN SPANISH!!!

Hi,
As you probably know we can't acces to the hidden menu "EngineerMode" to increase the speaker volume... until now
I succefully modified the app to work on rooted XA :good:
I will not explain how to use this dangerous menu, you can find many guides for that.
How to install:
- Download the attached zip, copy the 3 folders to "/system/app" and reboot.
- On the phone dialer enter *#*#3646633#*#*, the menu will appear.
- Don't forget to make backups of your partitions before playing with this !
Some features are greyed because of missing apps, I don't know if it's usefull to try to add them ?

Hi,

Thanks for the answer despite the old thread.
Is there no way to access it in the Nougat firmware? What a bullsh*t Sony did with that then.
To downgrade the phone I would need to get the MM Firmware from anywhere. Do you have any link for it? Would reformatting and flashing it through TWRP be enough to get it to boot?

There is probably a way to acces it with Nougat but you have to find updated MTK apps.
To downgrade you have to download the firmware with Xperifirm inclued in Flashtool. Be careful with Flashtool, read/watch guides on how to flash firmware to avoid hard brick.

With SuperSU go Settings, Full Unroot then follow directions. Install ES File Explorer, turn on root access in the settings. Access your device’s main drive and look for “system”. Select it then tap on “bin”. Delete “busybox” and “su”. If they're not there go to the next step. Go back to the system folder and select “xbin”. If the files are there delete both “busybox” and “su”. Go back to the system folder and select “app”. Delete “superuser, apk”. Be advised Samsung devices are more complicated, these methods may not provide a solution. On the S20 you have tripped Knox so don't expect to revive Samsung Pay, Health or Secure Folder even after flashing firmware or a factory reset as your device isn't actually fully unrooted.
