Some app I have installed now shows a battery icon on the left side of notifications which is unwanted. Clicking on the notification doesn't take me to the app, so I have no idea WHAT app is causing it.
Any suggestions how to discover what app is causing it?
Screen shot please. That way should anyone have that app they can tell you.

Hey guys I used a galaxy s3 and noticed that if the finger is dragged from the top of screen even when the notification bar is not visible it shows up and pulling it down opens it any app. Is it possible that such a tweak can be made for nexus ?

Hey guys I used a galaxy s3 - Hello Everyone, I've used a Galaxy SIII
and noticed that if the finger is dragged from the top of screen even when the notification bar is not visible it shows up I noticed that if I dragged my finger from the top of the screen, even when the notification bar is not visible, that the notification bar shows up(?)
and pulling it down opens it any app. And pulling it down opens it in any application that I may be using which is blocking it from view.
So to understand what you're saying, you're using an app that's taking up the full screen. The notification bar is disabled while you're in the app but if you place your finger where the notification bar should be and drag down, the notification bar then opens?

yes it would be possible. i know MIUI has this feature, so it shouldn't be too hard to port it over to and AOSP ROM.
Hey all.
Recently (like a week ago or so) I started seeing ads in my notification bar... it has an icon which is a white star with a red dot in the middle. The last one I got said "College degrees available" and when I clicked it... it brought me to gameloft.com (first time seeing this site)
Any ideas? It's not that much of a nuisance, but I'm just afraid of spyware and such.
I didn't install any new apps (at least I don't think), but did update my apps.
Thanks.
next time, press and hold the ad in the notification bar. Then a pop up should appear which brings you to the App info. there you can disable notifications for the app. This should help.
Or you just go to the app info directly if you know which app causes this.

you are right, I don't tought about this, thanks.
You may want to try an app like Airpush Detector to find what apps are giving you these adds.

One star the app and leave a comment saying they are spamming the notification bar, devs should be discouraged to using these types of ads. I have no problem with paying a dollar (or a few if needed) or seeing in app ads, but ads being displayed on the home screen or notification bar from an app is unacceptable.

This. No app should have that sort of crap in them.

I second this app. Try it to find out the culprit and let others know in the market review.

I could really use some help on this.. Tried 2 different 4.3 ROM's and it seems to be something within 4.3 I'm thinking. Anyway, When using Multiview and having both app's open at the same time, the notification bar hides. Is there anyway to prevent it from hiding? 4.1.2 doesn't have that problem and it's driving me insane trying to figure this out. If anybody has any ideas on what to try or knows the answer, please let me know.
Thanks all!

On mine, the status bar on top disappears when I have two apps running in multi-view.
However, if you move your finger downward at the top of the screen, the status line will appear.
Then you can open the status window completely with the usual downward swiping method.
I don't see any settings that lets you keep the status bar visible at all times while in multi-view.

Thanks. I'm looking for a way to keep it open while both apps are open. Is there maybe a build.prop entry I could try maybe?

So it looks like it goes straight into full screen mode when both apps are active. Is there a way to prevent full screen mode?

Hi All
Previously had a multi window app on my Tab S, but after a complete data wipe and fresh install it's gone.
Trouble is I can't remember it's name.
It was a download from this forum.
It had a fuzzy green semi circle swipe bar on the right hand side by default.
And brought up open programs down the side.
Anyone know it's name
Cheers
Anyone?
Anybody know what this app might be?
Found it

Try to go to the control panel, battery, cog (upper right corner) and disable the notification about apps draining battery. Maybe that's it.

I tried yesterday already. Doesn't help. I think that app don't need so much battery, (just 1%, another app need more) but problem is that app is running on background all time.
