Is this what you were looking for? I've seen several options; this is just one of them.

If you are rooted you might want to change the Kernel as I have found big differences depending on which one you use.

Volume mod?

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if T-mobile has a volume mod such as the one listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136&page=5
I tried installing that but it didn't work. I'm guessing because that thread is for the international version of the phone. Does anyone know if there is a USA mod or another way to increase the volume? I've searched and couldn't find anything about it. I would have thought someone would have asked this question already.
Check out Volume+ in the play store.

I looked it up and I'm going to give it a shot, is there anyway to adjust the hardware volume though? Will a mod or a custom rom do it?
Thebpp I suggested works wonders. You don't need anything else.

The only problem is that I might be installing a Jelly bean custom rom and the program says its not compatible.
Nothing works for Jellybean yet. At least not for system sounds. I have a gnex. Believe me I've searched.

Ok maybe I'll hold off on doing a custom rom for now. I hate missing my notifications and need the increase in volume. I guess it is only a matter of time before someone figures it out. My old t=mobile vibrant sucked but the one thing it did let me do was just type in a code and increase the volume through the menu. If only it were that easy on this phone.
I actually find this phone louder than my old galaxy S. Either way, Volume+ will definitely work for ics.

Also interested.
I too am very interested in the volume hack mod like the one in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136 for this US T-Mobile variant. Before the JB update I tried volume+ and was not really impressed. While it did make the phone louder, it came at the expense of sound quality. This is mainly because the app is basically just turning up the various bands on an equalizer all at the same time.
Shame that the international version gets all the attention but I guess I can understand why since there are more of them around.

JB Rom

I'm on whitehawkx jb ROM. for some reason my in call volume is super loud. I tried to lower it to the lowest setting and its still super loud. How can I fix this?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Read the thread you got the rom at. Its an experimental rom some things are not going to be proper on every build. I'd say flash back to stock for now. Unless you can deal with it, or find a fix by messing with settings and report it to the community

Yeah I'll search through the thread and see if there is anything to reduce the volume. But so far from what I have read people are complaining about how quiet it is on their headset and the echo issue. I have neither problems except for high volume so I think I am the odd man out.

Can anyone recommend a stable rom

Trying to flash my friends sprint note 2
Every rom I find is either page not found or extremely low volume or a bunch of work arounds thanks

Low volume issue is fixable if you turn it up in kernel settings.

i am actually going back to whomp after being on jelly and finally on avatar rom cm 10.1
i loved the premise of the avatar rom but the inconsistency of the volume as well as the lack of support or questions answered has left me wnating to go back to whomp. the volume is EXTREME!!! and i love it. oh and everything works fine...
however, i believe teh volume is tied in to the kernel.
I am going to second Jellybomb. The most recent updates to the ROM really turned the volume up. I am no longer able to set my volume levels to the max setting.
If you want a solid stock rom with a stock look; gotta try Digiblurs.

There is no BEST and yet they are all the BEST. Members are expected to research and read through the development threads before altering their device. The only thing you will get here is a list of all the ROM/KERNEL because every member has found what is best for them. You can get the same list by looking at the first few pages in development.

What is a good 4.3 rom for sound?

I just gave my dad my note 2. I put cm10.2 on it since I know it's stable and has great battery life. He needs it for long days at work. The problem is he is hard at hearing and cm is so quite. Could someone either recommend me a sound mod that will increase sound across the board or a stable rom that that has great sound and battery life. Thanks all!

Any with sound mods built in?

Saying which is best violates the xda policy. Just an FYI. But if you are looking for a rom with sound mods baked in I can tell you that JediMasterX v2 had viper4android baked in and it works great.

Here is what the above poster said was build into the other Rom...
This way you can put it on what Rom of your choose...

Thanks all. Sorry I'll watch my phrasing next time. Viper 4 should be just what I need.

Viper is the bomb-diggity for volume and quality.
It looks like I'll just end up flashing a new rom. Viper doesn't help with call and notification volume. Lol my poor dad and his hearing. I'll try out bean stock for 4.3. I don't want to put 4.4 on it since I won't be around to update it for him. I'll definitely be adding Viper to my phone though!
