Think you'll find everything you need there.
In my opinion, the phone is perfect in terms of build quality and performance. It has quad-core processor and that Tegra 3 chipset makes it wonderfull for hardcore gaming. However, that 1800mAh battery brings all those things down. 720p display and quad-core with that battery... If you use it with 3h+ display on you will have hard time making whole day with one charge.
But don't get me wrong! The HOX is decent phone and amazing for entertainment. I just wish it could have more juice like HOX+

Mine was in the repair for 3-4weeks and I used an IPhone 4 for this time.
I cant tell how happy I was while holding the One X again in my hands
It´s thin, light and looks nice.
With Sense 5 its much better! Yea the battery life is not the best but still better than other smartphones.
Thank you D4rk_nVidia!!

Hi guys. Im new here although Im having my one X for a year. my comment for this device is brilliant! I upgraded to sense5, change the cover from black to white.it looks new & i didn't feel that this device is going outdated. cause the 4.7 inch screen is the perfect size for me & even u can see HTC One go on with it. still, the quad-core tegra3 with 1gb ram having very good experience in games. i can wait to see the next generation after S4 or One. not going to change neither one even i got extra money.

So. I've got a friend who tonight just offered to trade a 32gb HTC One X International for my AT&T 16gb Galaxy S3. I've already got two friends saying it's a good trade, and I'm inclined to agree because of the Tegra 3 and the LCD screen. Just curious to see what anyone else thought and if they'd give a thumbs up or down.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Yes its a good trade. Tegra 3 and 32 gb, but you will NOT get LTE with the hox, is this a deal breaker?
Also the battery life on the hox is a lot less than the s3, but if rooted there are a couple of roms that utilize battery use very well.
Another good reason to trade is the latest sense, its brilliant.
Check the hox thoroughly, make sure its a perfect runner before you swap.

Don't now about circumstances in us, but here in Germany its not good, better to sell your galaxy s3 on ebay or Craig list and buy hox, it'll give you some extra bucks

Check what your network uses. GSM or CDMA. If you haven't, go read some reviews. I've been debating getting the one x international myself but I've read the battery life is god awful.
Been holding out on getting a new phone since I wanted one with a decent physical keyboard and other specs. Since HTC decided they don't want to anymore and I love sense its hard to look at anything else. Can't stand AOSP stock look or touchwiz for sure though personally.

Your out to date, mate. The battery life with last stock rom is pretty good. With 4-5 screen on time hox can live for a hole day. Gaming will cause some battery drain, bur even playing 1,5hrs Sega virtua tennis my phone gives me 3hrs screen on time.
P. S. : typing on 4,7 display with swiftX keyboard is such a pleasure after some time it collects your type of lexicon and it becomes really hard to use something other than that (ok, full qwerty is still nice on PC, but everything alse kind of suxx)

And I had Dell Strek 5, Mot.Millestone...
Dev on xda constantly making better and better custom roms.
The phone is fast, it has great screen ( on some custom roms - Bravia Engine 2, on stock ICS Bravia Engine 1).
Don't be concerned couse there is no card slot, You'll have enough memory for everything.
I have XS for about 6 months and only I can say - best phone I ever had.

Thing is that I owned Samsung Galaxy S2 before. It's 4.3" and dual-core as well. OK, resolution was lower and CPU clocked at 1.2 Ghz, but It can't cause that much of a difference and it lasted till evening of second day without a problem. So battery life of SXS was a shock for me.

Hello,
I've just been given a Samsung Google nexus phone.
I was wondering if it was worth keeping it or simply selling it off and out the money towards a Google Nexus 4.
Is it really that much better?
I imagine it will take some time before it has much development done and ROMs on offer..
On paper it seems clearly much better.
My question is : is it really?

I've been using the gnex since it came out last year. With the latest paranoid android rom, and Franco kernel, this phone is flying! Both developers are working on the nexus 4,but I'm personally super happy with my gnex. No plans to upgrade.

I'm still thinking about it, but the buildquality is significantly lower than the Gnex.
And in my country their not selling it for the low price of 350$.
People are offering them for 450€ on the web though.
But still an LG built phone for 450!?
Check out Adam Outler's teardown of if, it will give you much insight on the buildquality.

Quad core quickens overall ui, scrolling, booting, app loading and other things(maybe the gpu helps a bit)
I noticed in the gnex/nex4 comparison video theres quite a gap in performance(though the Gnex is pretty fast still)
Though i dont consider the Nexus4 to be that huge of an upgrade to the Gnex, i wouldnt go back to it if i already had the nexus 4

That's right. GPU has its contribution among others in scrolling. I really envy the power of Adreno 225. I wish our PowerVR SGX540 was at least in one third as powerful. I wouldn't trade gn until it dies then.
as you all might be knowing that gnex is still not available in india
but it is available in the grey market without warranty (idc about it)
soo what you guys think should i buy this phone? as the phone being an oldy, we here get it at a price range of 20k rupees .. the phone in the same budget are Samsung grand desire cv and quite higher 25k we get one s .. one s with the s3 processor 1.7ghz oc.. not the universal 1.5 s4 processor.
soo guys what's your view on this? i know a Google device is a Google device with plenty of fukn development everyday
i currently own a one v,

It doesn't make sense to buy any of those devices at that price. Especially not anything from HTC with the ONE coming out so soon.
Many online shopping portals are selling the 16gb nexus 4 for around 24 to 25k. That would be a better option than gnex plus i really feel the next major android update(KLP) will not be as lag free as jelly bean on gnex.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
I bounce back and forth between my HTC One S (s4) and Galaxy Nexus.
If you have to choose from both, I'd say the Nexus, unless you love sense. The development community is larger for the Nexus. I like that it has a removable battery and a bigger screen. I'm switching back to my GN after his post.
I don't think there is much development for the S3 version of the One S. I will say sometimes the smaller size of the One S is nice and personally, I think the camera is better.
Goodluck. I don't think you can go wrong with either.
Good luck.

Yeah, I bought my wife an N4 as a surprise and now I have her old Gnex. As I said in my last post, I still the the Gnex has some legs, especially given the large development community. Also, I actually didn't mind running the Gnex on stock for a bit. Of the last four phones I've had, this one made it the longest before getting a custom ROM. I finally rooted last night and am running the lastest CM 10.1 nightly.
I will say this, with all the different ROMs available for the GNex, it'd be like having a new phone all the time (if you're a flashaholic). As much as I like my HTC One S and respect the developers, there aren't nearly as many ROMs available. Viper 2.1 (Sense) is great, and I also like Liquid Smooth (AOSP) for the One S,
Both phones have run smooth for me, on different Roms. I'm still trying to get good photos with my Gnex (any suggestions?), so the one big advantage of the One S is the camera.
Again, good luck and let us know what you go with. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions on comparing the two.
Nick
LG N4 is $489 for 16gb model here which i think is not cheap like it is elsewhere like in the US, certainly not worth almost $500 like it is here.

But it has only 16GB build-in ROM... and I have almost 16GB of music so there's only something about 3GB free space for games, ROM zips, apks etc
But N4 has almost the same processor as SGS III, but 1GB of RAM more... I think N4 is better for games... and it will stay good longer than SGS III... and it's clear android... I forgot about something: 16GB internal storage is only theoretical... it gives something about 13GB to use, and my favourite musice I have to have close takse 11,5GB... why Google has removed SD slot :crying:
that panel with additional buttons in N4 can be turned off, right?
btw, I'm wondering why only one person was talking about HOX
I'd go with the One X/N4 if I were you
And whatever you do, just don't go for the S3... sure it's got an expandable memory slot....cheap plastic feel and that physical home button is a fail
in the end it comes down to personal preference
