Just sharing the latest Gmail v4.2 for ICS and JB.
Install as normal apk.
What's New : PINCH ZOOM And Swipe To Archive/Delete
Instructions : Uninstall Previous Version either from data/app or system/app and after uninstallation is complete reboot the device and then install this.

It gives me parsing error. the installation

1) you need to remove the stock apk for gmail from either /system/app folder or /data/app folder depending on rom. Use root explorer to get to the file with gmail logo and delete.
2) reboot phone and place the above provided app (gmail2.apk) in the folder where you removed other version(stock gmail apk in step 1)
3) change permission and check all for read on left column and write on the top in the middle column. Uncheck everything else.
4) after permissions have been changed. Click on the gmail2.apk and install.
5)reboot. All set after that.

I have Gmail.apk in /system/app and com.android.gm-.apk( something like that) in /data/app. Do I have to remove both?? And What abt .odex files??

Just Download the attachment and Move the apk to system/app folder in Root Explorer. Make sure the permissions are set to RW-R-R. Reboot.
Can use ES-File Explorer too.. Just make sure permissions are set correctly and reboot.
or push the apk via adb.
NOTE: Don't try to install it.
EDIT: Update:
Download the zip attachment and flash it via cwm or any other recovery(Sphere "viewer" works..)

I'm running it on cm9 and it works. But of course it has it's limitation sphere shot doesn't work of course

Hey can I use es file explorer to move the apk to system/app? Previously I used to use adb but I don't have a computer near me now
I gave es file explorer root permissions and then tried to move the app to system app but it said that moving had failed.. what do I do?

you need to set the mount system folders in settings . don't forget to copy also the lib.so files in /system/lib

OP Updated!
A new patched gallery from Android police. it just tells that it has working sphere viewer(it may not save the photo). i have not tested it yet.
Flash the zip via cmw or any recovery.
EDIT: Update: Photo Sphere saves photos....

No korean modem is nt included in this, since the zip is made frm the system dump of E975...I think now yu gt the way to wrk it out..... And if yu follow ny procedure to make it wrk in ur mobile juz list out the steps here... It ll be usefull for others too...

I am about to download the files. I will merge them together and reupload them on my private ftp tp make it easier for people to download. Can you tell me which modem/baseband? did you take the intl german kdz for this or is there even a difference? I am thinking about to extract sum modem files and therefore make this universal....what do you think?

2. wiped system
3. wiped data
4. wiped dalvic cache
5. chose geehrc_unsigned_081613_003733.zip to install
-> installation aborted, status 0. I am sorry mate but file is corrupted. and me has no backup.... will setup everything again and wait...

No worries mate! Trial and error I always have a nandroid backup around but wasnt really up to date (from mid may) I will setup a ftp acc for ya to upload the file. Will make things easier :thumbup:

Sry guys....XDA kitchen doesn't have edify file for our device which caused so many errors.....Hey bro replace the metainf folder with the following ones(rename the file which replacing) and let me knw which works....it works 100%...hope so....:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Make 3 flashable zips seperately using these files and place it in sdcard...so that if anyone doesnt wrk, we can easily flash other one.....!!
EDIT: GOT WORKING....ZIP WIILL BE AVAILABLE TONITE....Thanks for ur help man...:good:

Hi,
Can someone please upload the files of the stock 4.4 Camera?
I´m on PA and I want to replace the AOSP Camera with the Stock one.

Tried also like this, with ES Explorer but when I copy it into /system/app and restart the apps are not recognized.
Also if I try to install them, I get an error.

Thanks, I get the same as with the previous one.
I was on PA and there I got the errors.
Now I´m in 4.4.2 for a while so I have the stock one, but when I go back to a custom rom I´ll retry.

I have found this link while searching for latest updates for F240L. Can someone please read this and make a tutorial in a language so that users with little knowledge of android (like me ) can understand it. The google translation is not working great though.

Probably have to change some values in framework-res. Send me a copy of the framework and I'll pop up one with working SD card in the morning.

I'm asking if is there any system dump of yours newest official kitkat rom. If not, can I ask somebody to do it. I downloaded this Vietnamese ROMs and tried to unpack with this tutorial, but gives error.

No ones figured it out yet (the sdcard not showing up) its just one of the bugs,but your internal memory still shows up fine.

ok the sd card not showing up is not actually a bug i think it's something google did with kit kat and it will be like this on release you might need to be rooted to access the external sd card if i'm not mistaken.

has anyone tried SDFix https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix to "fix" the SD card issue, root required.
