Touchwiz "friendly" launchers - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Does anyone know of a launcher out there that would enable the ability to employ some aspects of or even widgets within the touchwiz launcher?

I assume he means widgets specific to Touchwiz like Accuweather and a few others. Although Accuweather does now have one on the Play Store, just not as nice as the Touchwiz version. There are a couple of others that disappear from your widget list switching from Touchwiz to say Nova or Apex.

It is not the launcher that causes you to lose those, it is the ROM. You need to stick with a Touchwiz ROM, or find a developer to port the camera to AOSP removing all touchwiz dependencies or find a camera add on from Play that is close. But what launcher you use has no bearing on those things.

GO Launcher docks ?

Hi,
I've been searching but couldn't find - are there any custom docks for GO Launcher ? There's many for LauncherPro, but not for GO...
I've tried some that were made for LP but then it asks me to resize them and it doesn't look "right".

Have you tried the new GO Launcher EX? IMHO, it is head and shoulders above any other launcher out there. The new EX version has added support for themes.
The devs are also updating constantly, as well as adding themes. There's only a couple on there at the moment, but the Classic one is pretty neat.
Hi, yes, my old GO launcher offered a download of EX version but there are too few themes at the moment so I guess all we need to do is wait, unless someone else starts making custom themes...

Ok let me ask again. Icon pack specially for this launcher. Not for LP or ADW. Just icons.
If docks means dock icons than is my bad

Killer apps from the dev. Even though I have been with Launcher Pro plus, I fell in love with the Go Launcher at first try.
Go SMS is a sexy chick for all the sammy users as the stock sms app is a ****ty ui app.
Go SMS rocks......

Can you help me to ans few questions abt this new phone

I wanna ask that if my phone is normal?
In the original app drawer, I cannot build a folder. This makes my app drawer messy.
In the original launcher, the app drawer shortcut cannot be removed.
When I used Go Launcher EX (and other Launchers), I cannot add Music and Weather Clock Widget.
Last, there is no video player.
I dunno whether it is normal or not but this is not very user-friendly for me.

may I ask to post in the correct thread? This one is for app and theme development and not for questions. Use therefore the General one.

Looking for Other Launchers Other than...

Go Launcher. Is there any other launchers with such an organized app drawer, like Go Launcher's?

Next launcher
TSF Shell launcher
Tried both of those and went back to Go Launcher...
Next Launcher is still too BETA to me and lacking a lot of stuff that Go has, you'd think they'd combined the two... Hopefully they do eventually.
Tried TSF Once and it felt too much like SPB with SPB Features taken outta it.

Go Launcher to me IDK Seems like it isn't meant for ICS or JB.

LoL! The only reasons I drew back away from them was cause of the lack of a better app drawer. I'm stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place! Grrr
I liked that they had the widgets panel on the app draw but they didn't have the recent apps and running apps panel like Go does.
Same could be said said for ADW.

Trying Next to see if they changed anything in the last couple weeks since I tried it.

On a side note Go's Next Launcher 3D is looking a lil better since I last used it. I could prolly see paying that much for it, only thing I dislike is that stupid ugly OS X looking dock bar, if they had a way to rid of that then I'd pay for it most certainly. Still a lil room left for improvement, also I WISHED They'd incorporate Go Launcher Widgets into Next Launcher. Those are still my only 2 draw backs about it.
try holo launcher
try adw ex. Using with JB 4.1.2 now
hahahh. You will see all suggestions from all launchers in the market
ADW Ex and Holo have the unorganized app drawer, where gotta create ya own individual labels and how would have a go about creating labels/tabs for "running" and "recent" if it was possible?

Went ahead and bought neXt Launcher 3D.
I'll prolly keep it installed in the background, so I can keep updated on it. But it's still not worth 16 bucks IMO.
They've still gotta long ways to go with it.
Hey n1nj4Lo, Leland from the Atom Launcher team here. How did you like Atom?
We are aiming to get absolute cutting-edge-screaming speed out of the launcher while keeping the customization and easy theming/usability. Would love your feedback and comments here and on our Facebook community (Atom Launcher search should bring you there - I cannot post a link as a new user).
Try NoLauncher.

Well the only thing that bugged me was I couldn't find a way to change the Atom Bar (I think it's called) font color, maybe I'm missing an option somewhere IDK but I think thats really important to me due to wallpapers. Everything else was really nice and I liked the App Drawer second to Go Launchers, it was very customizable and organized, didn't really have any other problems with the whole launcher itself. If I didn't use Go Launcher a lot I could see substituting this for it.
Ohh and in Transition effect if ya added a random or shuffled option of all transitions.

Maybe that was the one I liked Apex, Nova, Holo and ADW all look the same though, it just looks like the only thing different about them is the names they're all very very eerily similar. LoL
How do ya do that though?

Found Atom launcher because of this thread. Been using it ever since. Great on ram and battery. Very smooth, never had lag or stutter. Options are good, would love to see more added. Overall the best I've used so far. Love how it is still simple yet has all the things I need, along side good speed.

[Q] Touchwiz rom with Tablet menus?

I've been searching and unable to come up with the answer.
I love the AOKP roms but miss my S-Pen functionality. The only thing I think is missing from stock based roms that I would miss is the tablet style menus (like in the screen shot from JellyBAM).
Is there a touchwiz rom/app/mod I can install to achieve the look in the screen shot on a stock/touchwiz based rom?
+1 I love paranoid android ROMs customizations but I need my spen

Yes I can use mine in limited capabilities with certain apps, however one big thing I miss is the S-Planner. I absolutely hate stock Google Calendar and I haven't found another app that matches it on AOKP.
Still doesn't answer my question though of the tablet ui menu's and what mod/app etc is needed to mimic it on a touchwiz.

I've seen this ROM and I'm not interested in my phone being in landscape 100% of the time.
It's not just landscape.

For your setting menu to look like your pic above, then all you need is exposed installer too change the dpi in the setting Ui. That's n how I got the dual panel look..

On Screen Buttons?

Does anyone know how to get on screen buttons on this phone? I tried edited build.prop and when I restarted my phone, it kept giving me a bunch of "System UI has stopped" errors.
Are you using a TouchWiz or AOSP rom?
I couldn't find any info about it working or not on touchwiz (but then again I've never tried). It's working fine for me on cyanogenmod nightlies.
I maybe remember someone saying something about using nova launcher instead of the stock touchwiz launcher?

I would suggest using nova or apex launcher or something other than the stock touchwiz launcher just to verify. I dont know how engrained "system ui" and touchwiz are.
I always use nova instead of the TouchWiz launcher, I wonder if it's possible to enable on screen buttons on a TouchWiz rom

You have to modify the systemui or framework-res apks in addition the the build.prop line to get it to work.
