Here you are my Mod for SystemUI with honami battery icon and transparent background (just background and notify area)
Tested on deodexed .96 XS and working perfectly
for odex stock ROM delete SystemUI.odex
and move SystemUI.apk to system/app by any root browser with rw-r-r permissions

thnx alot for your work but it wasnt transparent maybe bcz im on .200 i tried lots of status bars but the same problem.
as i noticed theres a file called android.policy.jar in framework folder i tried it once and it made it transparent but my home launcher started lagging
so i rolled back to stock
im thinking of upgrading to ,96 but i like existnz black theme so i ll wait till v3 is launched

Im stock .96 odex xs user, i followed your step delete systemui.odex, move systemui.apk 50% transparent to system/app and change permission to rw r r then reboot, the battery worked but the transparent dont work... Am i doing something wrong?

ATTENTION : This is not working on Stock Roms for now, I will try to provide one for Stock soon!
I took the centered clock from here and the Icons from a Rom I downloaded in Sony Section somewhere, it works with Aosp from here but should also work on any other odexed Rom. Please backup your original SystemUi first (only the .apk) then overwrite it with the one you download here.
It's not that special but I like it and as I don't have to give very much to the community I thought I share..
Use Es Explorer or any rootexplorer you like.

EDIT : To stay on the safe side, the Credit for the centered Clock goes to saigetshu, he made a flashable zip for some other Rom/Version I think so I took the status_bar.xml from his .zip and copied into my orginal SystemUI.apk !

UPDATE 24.01. : Fixed overlay and shadow delay with the help of code from here, many thanks to alley123 !!!
Also it should work with odexed AND deodexed but please backup your orginal systemui.apk first !!!
I don't have the time to change the colours right now but I hope I can provide this soon. The plan is to get it into light and dark grey...

No Problem, you can copy the Icons into the folder /res/drawable-mdpi by yourself or attach your systemui.apk here so I can do it for you.

CM7.2 RC0, in my case SystemUI worked but the info text in the status bar is blended with the date and time. Also, shadows of the icons and text remains there for quite long time. In generally it's not what I expected as I have used many other mods with SystemUI without similar issues.
Yes I know, for now I can not fix it as I don't have the time :-(
I am using it for myself, too, my plan was also to change the colours and get the notification overlay fixed but (grrr) 3 kids and wife keep me jumping around most time ..

and this trick does not work ;/
my stock bar disappeared and i have to backup it
I am working on deodexing stock and custom app/framework please be patient, there will be a solution, soon!

Buddy this mod is only for custom/deodexed roms , if you go back to recovery mode and then search the universal flasher folder inside you will find a flashable .tar file , select that and you will be back to the orignal systemui

the size of deodex systemUI.apk in 1.96 ROM is around 2.14 Mb. how ever the one in your zip is 1.61 Mb.
Could you please update original systemUI.apk with docomo status bar only.

i am having the same issue..
i was glad that i made a backup before installing this port so i could revert back...
Transparent bar works for me, alsto still have small/recent apps.
What I did is only To extract The android.policy.jar (from zip)and then Place it where it belongs(make a backup Of original one), set perm and then reboot.
At beginning I got black screen but I solve it by switching Theme

I prefer to place only android.policy.jar in rigth place, but before I must delete android.policy.odex if I have odex rom?

Well, mine is deodexed
Edit: flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2418160 it will deodex you rom and wont wipe anything.

1. Put the zip file in internal storage
2. Mount System
3. Flash using Recovery
4. Fix permission
5. Reboot
Bug:
Small apps are not working.
This Kit Kat Gradient Status bar is from LeOpArDx ROM 4.6

I think Cm11 has settings for center clock ..
if not send me your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk
does gravitybox not work in cyanogenmod ??

It is already in setting. Just find it. I have used CM on xt1033 and i change it once
CM11 does not have a center clock option. Gravitybox works but the center clock option and various status bar mods do not work on XT1033.

@sidharth.gtm.. Can you have this mod in my modified System UI... You already gave the moded systemUI for batery mod without sim 2 icons... When I flash this clock mod, I am getting Sim2 icons.

This is modified SystemUI.apk for CM11.
Should work but i have tested personally, coz i m not on c11
try it ..

could you post a % only version, without clock centering? would love to have this purcentage next to battery icon, all mods already available offers it inside the battery icon, thing i pretty dont like
