I wanted to restore apps from titanium and tells me I have no access to sd card 0, help please (yo quise restaurar las aplicaciones desde titanium y me dice que no tengo acceso a sd card 0, ayudenme por favor)
But CWM recovery if I can see sdcard 0 files
I'm not rooted or running a rom, but my phone is getting a little rediculous with how often it will unmount/remount my sd card. Its not the card, it did it with the last one i had too) but the phone says it's removing itself, and I have to shut it off, pop the back, and take out and re-insert the card. My phone's not really usuable without the SD card - anyone have an idea what I can do to make this puppy last till my re-up?

So I have a Galaxy SIII and I use a 16g micro sd card (will call it "sd card" from here on out) for added storage.
So, I am starting to have some weird problems with my sd card. It keeps...write-protecting itself...and then un write-protecting itself.
Here are some examples:
1. Playing emulator. Save a couple times, no biggie. A few minutes past, I try to save again, and it won't work. All in all, I found out its because I could no longer write to or modify the SD card. I went in with ES File Explorer to move/delete things (through the phone, NOT PC...not yet) and I couldn't do anything to my external sd card. (I could still modify my internal sd card)
2. Plug phone into PC (windows 7 x86) via USB. Access phone through "my computer," choose "card" (which is my external). fyi: I was JUST NOW doing this. This is VERY recent. Anyway... I go in to modify my music and it doesn't work! "Files are write-protected." lol wut? Since when? A few minutes pass, and then all of the sudden, it works. I can modify music. Then I try again, and it says cannot access card: says the card (phone?) is disconnected. Then a little more time passes, and it works again, no problems.
Seriously, all of this happens within 30 minutes. Took me forever to modify my music because I kept having to wait for my card to stop write-protecting itself.
I haven't had any problems with my internal memory... I don't think...
What the BLAZES is going on?

Chances are that the problem is coming from your external sd card. Backup w/e is on it on your PC, format it and try again.

Alright, will do. Thanks.
I have strange problem with my 32 GB Kingston SD Card
My SD Card Change It self to read only (r/o) mode and I can't use it to store any data .....
I used Root Explorer to change permissions to Read and Write (r/w) but it returned to read only mode after minutes ....... that happened many many times ......
I tried scanning via windows scanner which told me every time that it repaired my SD Card from errors BUT after each scan process I found that some files disappeared and some corrupted files appears .......
I tried Also Fast Format and Slow format which took about 4 hours..... but the same problem still arises
For now I need to open root explorer and change permissions to (r/w) before any action like coping new files .... or taking pics by camera which its save folder is on the SD Card .... and after seconds or minutes It changed automatically to Read Only (r/o)
What should I do now ....... I can't store any thing on it even my games can't be loaded...???
I had this same problem with a Kingston sd card until I discovered it was fake card, but until I discovered I had many headaches. Is a tip.

I put off updating to 4.4.2 because JB was working fine before a three week trip overseas and I didn't want to break anything. Now we are back and I'm ready to apply the upgrade as long as it doesn't break my external SD card functionality.
I have a stock, unrooted G Pad. I use the SD card only for storing documents (.doc, .xls, .pdf., etc.), music, photos, etc. I use the LG file manager to write to and copy from the card. I use PowerAmp Pro to play music from the card. I have no apps installed to the card nor set to write to the card.
Should I expect my SD card to continue to function as it does on JB and without random dismounts after the update to 4.4.2?
Thanks!

I have the un mounting SD card notification and issues since upgrading I had no problem before upgrading so for me it is definitely a Kit Kat fault
Had the same problem here. After kit kat update sd card went nuts.
I followed a tip and formated the sd card on pc and then on the device.
This reduced the problem almost (almost) to zero.

Ended up replacing the 32gb sdcard with a 64gb one that works fine.
The 32gb is on my son's memopad working great as well.
What I was wondering was if the update realy damaged the sdcard or not....???

This has me interested. I bought I 64gb Sandisk card and I've been hesitant about putting it on due to the issue in KK.

The same question is also found in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712536
just factory reset your G pad without the sd card inserted in, this should fix the problem as has for many.

I installed the OTA 4.4.2 update after unmounting and removing the SD card. After the update was finished I shut down the G Pad, put the SD card back in and started it up again. It pulled down all my apps from the Play store and has been working fine since. I've accessed files from the SD card using the LG file manager and Polaris and I've played music from the SD card using PowerAmp Pro. So far no issues and I haven't done a factory reset.
I have a Dev Edition Note 4, with a rooted stock ROM and for some reason I can't write to the internal memory. I can install apps all day long, but some apps won't write to storage. Examples:
1)Waze - Waze can't access your SD card. Make sure it isn't mounted
2)Dropbox- Storage full or Unavailable (when I try to download anything)
3)Xposed- when trying to install/update from within the app
"SD card:/storage/emulated/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files
Copying Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip...
Could not extract Xposed-Disabler-Recovery/zip"
I've tried flashing back to my original backup, running the KK SD card fix, formatting the SD card, trying a new and formatted SD card, and tried flashing the one ROM that is out for DE Note 4, and not matter what I do I'm getting the same error.
any ideas?
Thanks!

After some problems flashing boots for magisk, now in principle I have the correct boot for magisk installed but I cannot operate the external microSD
I've tried reformatting it with different formats: FAT32/exFAT/NTFS. This last format was not recognized, then I formatted it directly in the phone with success. It said that the external micro SD is ready to use. But it is the same:
I can see that after the format, the Android folder has been created and some apps have been able to write its data in it. There is also a .android_secure file (0 bytes)
But if I open FX File Manager, it can read the micro SD but it has No Write Access and when Í try to set it up and it says:
"The device does not appear to support the Android Storage Access Framework
(Error: ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE not implemented by device.)"
I have also tried the SD Maid Explorer (root) and it can't even access
If I go to the Storage in settings, I can eject/activate the SD Card but when I tap to explore it, the Settings app stops working
Please help
