Hey everyone,
I know that there are quite a few users like myself who are running into a very annoying issue, it's called the "INSUFFICIENT STORAGE SPACE" error on our OPPO devices. So I looked into a very easy fix.
This error happens when the original APP partition in our internal memory is filled (2.90 GB size on my phone, out of the 32 GB), thus it doesn't allow for any additional app downloads or installations.
This procedure doesn't require scripting or too much tampering with the internal system of the phone, instead, it just (1) requires root permission, a (2) SD card, $2.50 (I think) in your play store account, and (3) a computer.

Here are the instructions:
** As always, don't just be a leech, show some support by giving THANKS **
1) Make sure you have root access, and a software program called "Minitool" installed on your computer. I did this on Windows 7. (Download here)
2) your SD card should be in the format of "Fat32" or "Exfat" originally. If not, make sure that your PC (Windows) can detect the drive (SD card) on your computer.
3) On your phone, download an app called Link2SD and also get the paid version (this is required because it gives your phone the ability to insert a script onto your internal memory that allows it to "link" to the SD external memory.)
4) Plug in your external SD card into your computer, how I did this was through a adapter.
5) Now boot up Minitool on your PC, and you should see your external sd card drive and also your other hard drives are connected to your PC.
6) "Remove" or "Delete" the partition that is currently on your SD card. MAKE SURE TO BACKUP THE FILES ON YOUR SD CARD first before you remove the partition.
7) Now create a partition and set your desired size, followed by the format of Fat32 and make sure it is a "Primary" partition not "Logic/Logical".
(This partition will be your external memory)
8) Next, create another partition with the rest of the memory left over in the SD card, and have that format as Ext4. Make sure it is a "primary" as well.
(This partition will be your linked APP memory, aka your Second Partition)
9) Click on "apply" when everything looks right, the button is located on the top left of the program. Let it run its course.
10) There you go! Once you exit the program, eject the SD card and plug it back into your phone, you will have your phone detect a smaller sized Fat32 external SD card, because the other partition (possibly hidden) is the Ext4.
11) Go into the Link2SD app which should be running the paid "Plus" version now. And follow the instructions, it should do everything for you.
12) Once rebooted, you will be able to download more apps now! In the beginning it may be a tiny bit glitchy because the script might still not be picked up by Link2SD. May sure you have given root permission to the app.
13) CONGRATS! You are now done! If you ever find yourself downloading large apps that require storage space again, LINK that app'a information and data (through Link2SD) to the SD card by hitting "Create Link", then checkmark all the app files associated with the large app.
* * NOTES * *
- If your Link2SD doesn't pick up a difference in your SD card, click on the left menu and select "Recreate Mount Scripts". See what it says, and if there are any errors on your SD card.
- Your SD card should be of at least class 6 and above. I used a class 10 SD card and there were absolutely no speed issues (lag) with the apps.
- This method will work on MANY other Android phones, as long as it can read your SD card and as long as the script is properly installed.
Again, HIT THANKS if this helped you in any way!
I just clear all cache with app cache cleaner

I can vouch for the Link2SD solution, on phones with a removable sdcard.
My Find 5 only has the internal sdcard - so this is of no use.
It will be highly appreciated if you post of (safe) removable system application with details. It's a request. Thanks in advance. ?

unified storage for find 7/7a (codename 7u) from @coldbird
hey guys that partition problem has been solved you can now unify your storage and remove the silly 3GB app partition you will need to use a unified capable custom rom in order to use it but they are so much better than colorOS anyway, also the developer @coldbird is working with oppo to get it implemented onto colorOS......please follow the link and have a good read of the first page, ignore the title it is for 7QHD also...ENJOI

I'd like to add, if you are using superSU I had to flash over superuser to make link2sd works correctly on a 1.2.7i stock rom.

With COS 2.1.5, you can use LVM to get around the 3GB partition issue.
Hi all
I successfully updated to the latest nightly build 8/3/17 how ever I have no ability to move app data to my SD card. My sd card is seen under storage and I have files on it.
I also have twrp 3.0.2.0 but get a kernel is not seandroid enforcing error and can't charge whilst off. I have no loop issue the unit work's OK otherwise.
The lineage is rooted, I would welcome any advice.

Interesting if you boot into trwp can that see your sd card? So under storage the sd card isn't visible at all? Have you tried formatting it?

Yes, I can see it fine under TWRP. I thought maybe it couldn't recognize exFAT, so I formatted it to EXT4. But it's still not showing up at all.

That is weird, do you have another android peripheral that you could prospectively format the card in and try? Alternatively you could wipe and reinstall. I blew away the android internal storage and installed from my SD, just about everything works except the sd storage option. That's an issue storage and app wise so I may go back to marshmallow lineageos if I can't sort it.
Failing that back to stock lollipop should that fail.

I don't have another android device, but I do have a linux machine, (actually, I only run Linux in my home), and I can read and write the card no problem in my desktop machine. I haven't tried it on my HTPC/Plex server yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. On stock Lollipop, I can see the card, but it's read only. Oh, I should have been clearer. I can see the card on the tablet, but it doesn't display anything. It says "contents not found", and I can't enable writing to it for Root Explorer.

That is weird you got me stumped, other than a rebuild I got nothing. Try the card in a mate's phone if possible better than wiping the unit first.
If that doesn't work I got nothing. Truth be said I'm no expert, I try my best.
Hi all
I updated the Lineageos ROM the AOSP I had no hardware issues or software issues on the OS. However please note that if you use this ROM for some reason you will lose the TWRP Recovery.
I installed the AOSP ROM 7.1.1 first, didn't reboot and then installed the Gapps file, upon reboot it stayed on the splashed screen, so I then booted into the standard recovery and wiped/factory reset the unit, all good since and it is running smoothly, just wanted you to let you know that the Lineage ROM isn't the only option.
I also had the options for the SD card and UI System tweak was also there, good luck. If anyone wants assistance I am happy to assist.

Hey mate I found an alternate fix and everything works, look at AOSP rom and let me know if you have any questions.

I have also a problem with the SD card. I have the newest build and the SD card is seen in the settings and also in file manager can read/write, but other apps somehow don't see it, I cannot set the camera to save photo to external storage, also in Google play music I cannot choose to store music to external card, the options are not there. On my Galaxy S5 also with Lineage it works perfectly. Secondly, in the settings I can only format the SD card as portable, not as internal, but that would not bother me if the apps would see the card and I could use it as storage.
Solution for sd card write issue?
Did you ever find a solution? I have the same devices and exactly the same problems.

Have the same problem on my SM-P605 - have had problem since at least the 20170713 nightly build when I started using LineageOS (am currently running 20170830 nightly).
The SD card appears under settings - I can format and eject the SD card, it appears under /mnt/media_rw/76AC-17ED, but
doesn't appear as a SD card in Amaze file manager
doesn't appear as a SD card in ESExplorer (only Internal Storage appears on the home page)
I cannot set the camera location to save photos on it
doesn't appear under /storage (i.e. /storage/76AC-17ED)
It's as if the storage is mounted, but isn't flagged as being a SD card.
Any ideas -- anyone??

I think I found a solution your problem. Well, it worked for me.
Firstly I backed up my SDCARD
Then went to Settings, Storage Settings tabbed on SD card and tab on options [three dotted things].
Formatted my sd card as internal, when I went back to my applications there was an option to move them to external.
[WARNING]One problem is that if you format it as internal it will not show as different storage systems on your pc WILL SHOW AS SHARED STORAGE!!!!
******** I Had So Many Issues I Would Not Recommend It *********
Hope that helps you

Thanks for the suggestion - but didn't work.
When I click the three-dotted-things only option I see is (under Storage settings) is "Format". I format the card - but still cannot move apps to it or set as camera location.

Manual Fix
Hi.
I just got it running on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (LTE).
This guide worked for me: modaco.com / news / android / heres-how-to-configure-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632
Guide also referenced in this German HowTo: androidpit.de / micro-sd-als-internen-speicher-formatieren
I did the 50:50 format on my 200GB SD card.
Please remove the blanks in the links. Had to put them in because forum software did not allow me to include links.

hi to all
how to fix probleme can't write access to external sd on android 6 HTC M8
i try many tutorial but no one work with apk with xposed
is there any solution
I'm not clear: Are you trying to grant SD card write permission to xposed? Or tried to use xposed to fix the SD card write problem?
Not personally an xposed user. But if you have general issue with other apps not being able to write to SD card, I might be able to help.

Changing your backup location in TB is a bit convoluted, and a pain in the rear. I just had to do this on another device a couple weeks ago, and had to fumble with it for a while before getting it right.
In TB, press Menu, select Preferences, then select "Backup folder location". Tap "Click to Change" (auto detect never seems to "see" the SD card). Then you will see different file system options. Honestly, I don't completely understand the differences between them. I picked "DocumentProvider storage". Then I tapped the 3-line menu button on the upper right. Selected the SD card, and tapped "Select" button on the lower right. After that, I was able to "see" the SD card in TB and read/write to the SD card.
Now, your description of apps not detecting the SD at all, or saying it writes to the SD, but no files show up, is a bit more worrisome. It suggests more than a permissions problem. Might make sense to format the SD card. Be sure to copy/backup any important data on the SD (if that is needed or even possible at this point) before formatting. Since formatting will erase all data on the SD.

The first time you try to save a file (or create folder) in ES Explorer, does the file selector appear (and lets you select the SD card)?

I try with other sd card and same
Im in stock rom no mods just xposed
Finally i fix the probleme for all app just with the xposed modul
Thx to all for your help
I remember this happened in the past, and I didn't give it too much thought, just did a clean ROM install and problem got away.
I may be doing this again, but thought I'd ask first, in case I can avoid it.
LG G3 - D850
ROM: Fulmics 8.0
Kernel Xceed D850-MM-test-bld7n
rooted (Magisk)
internal memory: 0.88GB free
external memory: Sandisk 64GB exfat, 23.54 GB free
Recently I got the classic Android message about running out of space in my internal storage, so I went ahead and opened Root Explorer, navigated to a folder in the internal memory, chose stuff to move, and moved it to the external storage.
There were no errors, and some stuff moved, but at some point it stopped on its own.
So I tried again, and it wouldn't move anymore.
I restarted the phone and this is where it's currently at:
-First time I open Root Explorer after rebooting, I can see the contents of the external SD card
-As soon as I try to do any kind of writing to it, it tells me I need to give permissions in Android so the app can write to the external storage. If I touch OK, it briefly flashes the permissions window, then goes back to root explorer and I can't see the SD card contents anymore (it still shows it as a folder within /storage, and if I enter it, it's empty, but does show the correct used/free space)
-I tried Titanium backup, and it also can't write to the external storage.
I did some research, tried the SD Fix app from the store, tried a couple more apps to fix external storage permissions , tried flashing the same kernel again and rooting again, issue persists.
I don't know what could be the root cause and/or how to further investigate/troubleshoot.
Any and all ideas are welcome.
Thanks!
Additional information:
-If I go to Settings > General > Storage, I see both internal and SD card. The SD card shows its usage information, and I have the eject button. However if I touch on it, a screen flashes for a second then goes back to the Storage screen (can't remember what it's supposed to do, but I'd assume it should show me the files in the SD card).
-If I boot in recovery (TWRP), I can't mount the SD card (it won't add a check mark to it).
Hello Group,
I am unable to access the sd card on my S1. I have tried the tips I can find online like formatting the card but nothing seems to work, I continue to receive
"grant access to sd card error "messages.
I have spent a week searching but can't find a fix.
I want to be able to insert an sd card by otg and copy photos to an sd card inserted into the tab. Do I need to root the tablet for this to work?
Thanks for your time
Model # SMT700
Android version 6.0.1
Kernel 3.4.39
Does it show up in the device storage in settings? Is the capacity correctly read?
Is it an error message, or is it just wanting you to follow some steps? It should pop up the default file manager. Then you need to go to the SD card and hit select.
Hello , thanks for the reply.
Yes it shows up in file manager and I can format it. Some file managers I have tried can select it and create a directory on some cant. Both the programs
I want to use say to select the card but then come up with the error message card not selected.
The programs I want to use work fine on a LG phone with a later firmware. So It must be a Samsung Issue or Marshmellow issue I think.

Have you used this file manager to access the internal SD card before? Usually that dialog is for the internal sd card, and not otg.
Can you record a video of what you are doing?
