Unfortunatly, right now root isn't possible with the usual methods. But i guess its just a matter of time, before it will be possible.

I was thinking that kdz update wipe everything by default....
this is how you root P936 ??
If i understand it well you install 135 kdz, then you root it, then you flash 160 kdz and you still have root access?

Not still have root. Everything good but only sent 80 ch/each SMS and appear message :"GPRS not allow in this area (7)".
P/S: change GSM only or 3G use : 5457#*6200#

Use *#*#4636#*#* don't need to restart device

i can confirm that method works.i've successfully rooted it following this procedure:
flash 135kdz--root it---flash 160kdz without wipping---root it--done

So it means you have to root again in v160 but it's working now because you rooted it before on v135? Is this right?

but i have problem , Video Call seems do not working for me , that say every time sim information incorrect , i have my network set as GSM ONLY , in my 3g is working fine , is anyone use to have similar probleme?

I will check this out later, a friend on gfan.com will upload his custom ROM. I have to be careful now, since i lost my IMEI once going back form ICS Leak to GB 2.3.
Where exactly do you want make videocall and which provider do you use?

When Calling with the Phone function , before ICS hits the place , i have use CUSTUM ROM from GFAN CNYANG ROM , and i use to make video call , but with Stock ROm it's dosen't work .
Im on Orange FR provider .

EDIT: and after trying to fix like crazy the phone become fully dead was using stock JB relocked BL (no led)

Just do this simple task and you get your phone back, If you have faith just do what I have about to ,I had thesame problem but now am free ,N01..get flashtool.N02...donwload this ftf SO-03D_6.0.A.5.12_Docomo on this site http : / / w w w . unibytes . com / yhRG . am9th - Lqw - Us4P3UgBB just type the url to your browser without space or google it after that flash it with flashtool ,after that start your phone and wait for just 30 seconds to 1 minutes and you get your network back. You may now flash any stock rom of your choice either 200,211 or 96 but make sure you uncheck baseband and fota if you want to flash those ones I mean the 211,200,96... If help u can decide to buy me shoe or beer

Instructions:
Clean 1.lam to install new rom:

Note before flash rom:
-There is to lock the screen in the form of code Pin
-Sim are used as universal sim, do not use sim or sim lock coupling => sim will be blocked permanently.
-Ril no baseband unknow because SELinux was disabled earlier => no wave wireless service and 4G / LTE. waiting for the next fix
-GPS can work or not depending on equipment =>'ll Fix in the next.
-Wifi normal operation (though not RIL), want to show keyboard operation, please go to settings Back in the language and keyboard flashed.
-see film not only known photo => wait for a fix in the next version.
machine image does not work so you download on google CHplay on the camera is ok => wait the following fix.
-This is only the alpha test, you should not expect anything more questions if it does not work as expected.

Thank you.
Which part should I modify to make it recognize my Carrier baseband ? I installed it after I modified the first line in the updater-script to change the name and model. It installd fine and can search fo rthe networks but will not connect. I have the I317M model.

Thank you.
I get Network now, I can send and receive text but no calls ( in or out ). I re-scan the Network multiple times and added the APN as well.
I am going to try re-flashing again when I get home. Not sure what is causing that. Any ideas, beside that, all is ok so far.
Update: Now I can call but I cannot receive any calls. the caller can hear the rings till my voice mail but i dont get the call.

For confirmation:
If you are on the international i705 (whatever) model, flash the ROM as is
If you are on the att (t0lte / i317) model, modify the ROM in 7zip with the attached files (exactly as (no changing file name)
Please confirm or correct any errors in the above logic

i just replaced the updater script and followed the instructions. I have the sgh-i317m.

Check the n7105 area on xda. Its there

i follow your thread and still having the same issue. i can send an receive text messages. i can call out but i cannot receive call. the person calling me gets the ring and then to my voicemail which i receive. i replaced the script as indicated. i check the status of the cellular network state and it says Disconnected.. The model still shows as i605.

I grabbed this from the vzw thread earlier ...excellent work everyone....no issues ...new daily

On i317m, got it working...calls won't hang up though :-/

I have a C2004 with non-rooted stock 4.3 OS . I have never tried anything crazy on it because it is still under warranty which is going to expire soon.
I was actually waiting for a perfect ROM which should support both SIMs (extremely necessary). If you assure me that both SIMs going to work in sync, I can proceed.

Dont do anything crazy if you don't know about rooting .... !
and i am using the above rom its working fine dual sims are activated .. there are some bugs but that doesnt affecting me

you can use this rom ... its nice
one con is in apps to sd card when you try to move apps to sdcard the size change in internal memory is very less i dont know why . i think it is bug ..!

Returned to cm 11 successfully...

have you edited system/buid after flashing ... if not pls do it now ( i think you have not edited that )
and still you did not get it means you are doing some mistake..

no i didnt check the baseband but after flashing the rom you have to edit the codes i have posted in my post
and pls tell me in which version of android your on .......!
your not telling exactly what you have did. Have you properly followed my steps ....?
PLS write a details procedure you followed so that i get to know what you have done...
from starting also mention your android version

I followed the procedure and successful flashed the rom but when I tried to edit built.prop it says the system is mounted as read only mount in read write mode to save changes (how to Mount as read write)......
Solved got network on both Sims .The ROM is amazing super smooth many thanks to our developer PecanCM!!!!

I tried several times. I dont think xperia m dual gets lollipop ever. Its outdated!

its working probably you are not flashing it properly ....!
codes given in the thread must be edited carefully otherwise you wont get signals

Yes am using Cynogen recovery, any help with switching to CWM recovery?

My N7100 works fine with RR 5.4.4, but after update for 5.4.5 or 5.4.6 I only get "No signal". I tried CM 12.1 nd NamelessRom and no changes =[
If i back to STOCK 4.4.3, the signal come back, but if I update to any version of Lollipop, I get crashs/no signal. (I tried RR 5.2.6 for example), besides the NO SIGNAL, my phone Vibrate for every 10sec +/-...
(sorry: my english isnt good. If it changes anything for de "settings" of SIGNAL, I'm from Brazil, TIM operator)

Your modem probably is not compatible, cm not installs modem leaves what you have, try to install a newer 4.4.2 modem from recovery or mobile odin. If you can't find at forum (difficult ) quote my answer and post to upload one for you. And something other stock 4.4.3 not exists the latest is 4.4.2, 4.4.4 etc are ported from other devices.
Also a general note which is a rule for the people who likes to flash them phone before flashing anything at your phone stock custom etc you must have always a efs backup (imei backup) stored at safe place, if anything goes wrong to restore it.

Mj9 is old and it is from android version 4.3. I am using xxufoa1 with nameless latest at Europe. I uploaded to mega if you like to try. Check md5 before flash, it is in the same folder and flash it via CWM philz or other not twrp.
