If it is simlock version, how can i know which operator it belongs to?

I can find the page on amazon to help you, but only to be sure - can you post a link to page where you found the phone?
If your phone have
T-mobile startup - is branded to t-mobile
Vip startup - is branded to VIP
Also with sounds, if you have sounds from some network provider it is branded to them.
if your phone have only SE STARTUP - is unlocked and sim free (non branded)
----------
Also you can debrand your phone with flashing it with GENERIC WORLD files
T-Mobile hasn't a different bootanimation, just look for operator specific apps.

Hello There!
Is there a way to remove the network lock from Sony Ericsson LT15i - XPERIA ARC , with Android 2.3.2 and BuildNr: 3.0.A.2.184 ?
Hope it is possible without purchasing unlock code for 70 EUR.
Greetings from austria,
Daniel

I believe the only way is by purchasing an unlock code and using that. I also own this phone, it is locked to rogers but I use Telus so I thought about unlocking but I came to the conclusion that I need an unlock pin for my imei and started using the device as an MP3 player.
Hey Users!
Is there a way to sim-unlock a SE W595 with a Software?
Or can i flash it with an other firmware to unlock it?
I found this thread in the forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473082
But i don't want a chinese firmware.
It's Sim-locked by Telekom Austria (I am from Austria).
I searched over 2 hour at google for some information, but only found some outdated software like Aerix and D-Unlocker... i also found Omnius, a Software where you have to pay over 60$ to unlock my phone. With that amount of money i could buy a new android smartphone.
Best regards from Austria,
John
