I love Cm10.2 roms but can't get this moga controller to work reliable on any Cm10.2 rom. Anyone know if there's a build out there that we can use this controller on? Bluetooth radio works fine in my car but not being able to enjoy this controller is holding me back. I would certainly appreciate if anyone could share there experience. Thanks

Same here. No worky worky. Doesn't even pair.
Did you guys download the Moga controller app from the Play Store? because it connects your controller for you and lets you know which games you can use with the controller. I have a moga controller and I've used it with cm 10.2 and aokp 4.3......and no problems here... hope it helps =D

Is it possible to connect an xbox 360 or ps3 controller to the evo preferably for use with emulation apps?

Controller
Xbox 360 not possible 2.4ghz i think. PS3 Bluetooth controller has not worked for me could not get to pair. Might need an app and could not find one.
I use a Wii remote and app off the market with Emulator and roms for NES. Works extremely well. The normal Wii controller feels small to me and cramped but very useable. I believe you can plug the game pad controller add on into the Wii remote and use it as well. Not tested but should work fine.
I am running CM7 so you have to be Rooted. I know CM7 and maybe other Roms? They use a changed bluetooth stack thats incorporated in the ROM. It's more universal to devices.
I love playing NES on any HDMI tv. Hope this helps.

Works great with the wiimote app. Easier to travel with as you dont have to carry the wii-mote + classic, and it has enough buttons for all emulators.
Hey guys,
I'm searching for a bluetooth or wireless gamepad for my future nexus.
Do you have any ideeas? I was almost into buying Wii Wireless Retro Controller but I can't find it anywhere so I'm looking for something else. Ohhh, this was my first option because is so COOL!
Another option could be Phonejoy's Gamepad, wich is OUT OF STOCK too. I could go for a PS3 SIXAXIS Gamepad, but I dont know if I can use it for other games like Shadowgun, Backstab, Dungeon Defenders (mostly RPG and FPS), not only with PSX Emulator.
Anyone who used a PS3 controller played games like the one above with it?
Thanks!
Just a word of warning you need to make sure your device is compatible. Even if it is, it might work with some app and not another.
There are some bluetooth controller to consider though like: Zeemote, MSI Gamepad, Wii controller (which seems to be the safe bet.)
Sometime you need to run a background 'keyboard' app to make some of these controller work, such as Bluez IME.
I have the iControlPad, but it only work with apps that support keyboard input, through the use of Bluez IME. The most fullproof way for me is still wired controller.
I'm dealing with the issue right now.
I use sixaxis for my PS3 controller but it seems there is lack of supported games.
I think trying FPse for it.
I've also Logitech gamepad (F710) and like you I'd love to see supported games beside FPse.

Give me a few days and this should become a reality with the Sixaxis controller
Honeycomb and ICS have native support for gamepads so they should work throughout the OS and games.
I have a PS3 controller on my Transformer and I also have the Wii Retro controller. The Retro controller sucks horribly compared to the PS3 controller. Plus they all connect via Bluetooth so any controller will act the same unless it comes with a specific binding app.
I don't have a Nexus but I think the PS3 controller is the way to go. I picked up a new white one at Gamestop for $29.
Datel makes the Retro wireless controller.
G2x - 2.3.7 CM7
Transformer - 3.2 Revolver OC/UV
I've done it.
Sixaxis with PS3 controller plus MHL to see it on my LCD TV.
Works great! But only in emulators like FPse (the emulator I've test).
I'll wait to the OTG cable and see if I can play with the gamepad on any game (which is not related to FPse).
do i need ROOT for all of this that you guys are talking about? i want to use the original ps3 controller to play games in my galaxy nexus but i totally don't want to root, please help, i don't care if i have to use cable or Bluetooth.
Not sure if this would work on phones, http://steelseries.com/us/products/other/steelseries-ion-wireless-controller
it does mentions tablets. it's coming soon.
Pretty exciting stuff. I gave it a shot and it seems to work well, but you really need a controller to go anywhere. Has anyone tried a phonejoy or similar with onlive? Or would you need to get the onlive branded one?
I actually just got my shipment notification from Phonejoy. I'm very interested in seeing if this will work. I'm crossing my fingers since phonejoy states the app must allow keyboard input for their controller to work. Onlive certainly allows for keyboard input. I'll report back once I get my controller.
PhoneJoy partially works
SO far I have managed to get the direction keys to work, but not the regular buttons. I will let you know when or if they are working.
Can we use the sixaxis program and use our wireless ps3 controllers for this?
I'm wondering, has there been any developement? I would LOVE to get my Phonejoy working on OnLive, it would make it simply perfect.

i just emailed onlive.
ofcourse, they want us to buy a universal onlive controller, otherwise they are unwilling to help.
heres a thought, figure out what keys do what on a bluetooth keyboard paired with the phone and then set up phonejoy to use these keys as buttons.

Could anyone provide an update on whether this was successful for you guys? My Kindle Fire HD is arriving tomorrow and I'm interested in using the phonejoy bluetooth controller with it and the OnLive gaming service.
P.S. The noob video for this site is hilarious. And awesome. I hope I'm doing the right thing.
Can someone recommend me a controller that has good compatibility for both emulators and android games themselves? I'd like something that easily works. I'm noticing some posts around the internet where people aren't having issues with emulators, but are having issues with android games, or the exact opposite. I have a rooted fire tv in case that is needed for some controller compatibility apk.

I bought the Amazon Fire TV Game Controller, works with anything that supports gamepads. I have a PS3 & Xbox 360 controllers that worked good on somethings and sucked on others. So i've been really happy with the Amazon Game Controller.
I got the Ouya controller. It works well and functions as a mouse as well.
The Amazon controller has worked for me with:
NES
Genesis
SNES
DC
PS 1
I can not get it to figure out N64 commands, and this is an emulator problem. I may have to connect a mouse to map to the controller. If anyone has figured out N64 on Fire TV, please post
Anyone tried the Wiimote?

Which version are you using? I have the Google Play version sideloaded. I would like to get the Fire TV version as it works with the remote, but since I only have the stick, I can't purchase and download it.

I'm curious also if anyone uses a wiimote for any emulators/amazon games. Does the classic controller extension work with it? Does it even work in the emulators at all?
I want to get a controller for my FTV but I have so many around my house I don't want another one, so if I can find one that works with what I want to do I'd rather just use it
Also anyone tried using PS3 controller, does it even work?
I've heard it mentioned that it was possible but no instructions- does anyone know if a wireless Xbox 360 can be paired to the FIre TV, and if so, how? Note- I'm asking about the wireless being paired directly via bluetooth- NOT using a USB dongle or adapter.

Unless there has been some recent development on that, its not possible without the dongle sorry

No. Xbox controllers use a proprietary wireless standard, not straight Bluetooth. It can only be paired with the adapter.

Good evening,
I buy an cheap Ouya and install Cm11 with the How tos (thanks for that!) already works great, but I have no idea how I can pair a Ps3 Controller.
Can somebody tell me how it works? I have searched and read many posts, but I dont found an answer.
(Excuse my bad english.)
Thank you
Sixaxis Controller
Thanks,
I tried it with Sixaxis, but so only one controller work. If I pair 2 controller play both
controllers Player 1.
Do you have experience with that?

Pretty sure that's just how it works unfortunately.
I think its the driver. I've used several controllers at once but never had more than 1 PS3 controller.
