I'm wondering if anybody can help me find out how to get my TricksterMod settings to stick on boot. I can't find this option ANYWHERE in TricksterMod!

I found this through Stumbleupon
'1. Open up the Galaxy S3 phone dialer
2. Then dial *#0011#
3. Look for the “ServiceMode” screen and press the left menu button
4. Select “WiFi”
5. You should see that the “WiFi Power Save Mode” button is “ON” – now put it on “OFF”'

I too would like to know the difference as well. I'm going to assume it will drain your battery faster, but for what advantage?

Strange, but after doing this my screen will not auto shut off after the 15s timer. I do not have smart stay enabled and the phone is not pluged in.
I will switch it back and see what happens
BTW im running FreeGS3 R5

I had that too. Just reboot and it is fixed!
Any way to save the setting? If you reboot it reverts back to power saving "on" mode.

+1 Yep. A reboot fixed it for me too.
A reboot just reverts the settings. My phone was doing the same (screen staying on) until I rebooted the phone. I then checked the settings again and it had changed back.

1. Go to the settings menu, and scroll down to "About phone." Click on it.
2. Scroll down to the bottom again, where you see "Build number."
3. Tap it seven times. After the third tap, you'll see a dialog that says you're four taps away from being a developer.

Interesting that they decided to make dev settings hidden like an easter egg.
probably due to people messing with it and wondering why apps start crashing
Any other hidden settings ?
Very strange, but good to know. Thanks!

Tap it 7 times alternating your thumb and pinky then lock and unlock the screen 7 times followed by dropping the status bar down 7 times while holding the phone upside down.
No seriously it looks like once you enable it, its there for good.

It's not really needed the 7 taps just allow you to see the developer menu again you still have to turn on the adb option like before.

Same here. Stock Unrooted after 4.1.2 OTA. No access to Google Now Menu. Flashes briefly then disappears. Tried to clear cache but won't clear. Tried to uninstall updates in application manger but hangs on uninstalling screen.
Click on the bar at the top to bring up your keyboard and now the menu will stay open.

Menu won't stay open whether keyboard present or not. Using Swiftkey.
Finally got the Google Search update to uninstall and the menu opens normally when not updated. Hmmm.

I have the same issue. Re-updated and menu flashes and disappears.
Add me to this list also. It's a bug in the new search update. It really sucks. Thankfully I don't need to use the menu/setting that much.
If I do I can get into it via settings.
Do a dummy search first, then try it....

Quick update. Still happening.
Workaround (based on previous posts and trials)
Open Google Now.
Type a space (or any placeholder text in the search bar.
Close the keyboard and retry the menu key. The menu should now pop up and float there.
The search bar seems to have to have something in it for menu to not instantly close again. I've put as little as just that space and it works.
Wonder how Google missed that?

I would hypothesize that this is a Samsung Twiz ROM issue, rather than a Google oops...Trying it on my PACMan 20.1 install I fail to get the bug.
Anyone in this thread so far not using a Sammy TWiz ROM?
Uninstall and re-install Google Search. Clear Google Talk data in App management. Reboot.
It'll work after that.
can anyone point me to such mod that will work on the optimus g pro?

Try This on your dialer type 3845#*980# then find "audio cal tool" and find "set gain" then look there for the sound values and you can change them for whatever you want. let me know if you got it.
im afraid that option is not in my unit.. i dialled 3845#*988# and these are the options that showed up (see the attahed image)..
i checked every option but was unable to find "audio cal tool"..

check in "device test" "settings" if device test then look for "all auto test" or send me screenshots to know where you are at.
when i enter the device test option, there is an auto test option that is available and when i press it, it just shows a bunch of lists that doesnt do anything on the audio..
on the settings option however, there is an audio option and when i press it, a submenu appears and the first option says "sound calibration".. but when i press it, a toast notification appeared that says something like "test not implemented yet"..
