As the title says I have just rooted my Note 2 with CF auto root. I have rooted all my android devices for the last few years no issues through Odin. Everything passed etc but when I run my phone now it keeps coming up with a security notice due to SuperSU. I did my research and this should be a stable Rom any ideas what happened? or how I can fix this?
Was able to resolve the issue with updating the app and turning off Knox

I bought one brand new 10.1 2014 edition, p600. It came today. So, after usual first configuration, I tryed 2 times to root using cd-autoroot (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2490805). But it was unsucessfull. After both procedures, i got no "su" application and no root access.
Any help? Any other different method to root?
Thanks.
I found what was going on
Problem resolved. The root worked, what was missing is to install SuperSU app (found free at google market).
Thank's
Hi folks,
Been looking all over, can't find anything root for the Tab Pro 12.2. Has anyone rooted one yet? I found plenty for the SMP-900 but no SMT.
Thanks in advance!
Rich
Same. Traded my note pro in for the tab pro and now looking for a way to root it.

Good thing to have elite plus membership. Traded my note pro and I'm very pleased. This tab pro is way better when it comes to lag. I see a little but note pro is ridiculously bad...
Chainfire not yet implemented this model for root.
Chose 12.2 tab over note but might switch if there's no root ...
Elite plus membership? and actually returning my tab pro to Costco today for another one before the $50 off deal disappears. My Note pro had no lag but this tab pro does and keeps freezing on me...Hoping I just got a defective one. Thank you for the response about no root yet...

im talking about best buy. elite plus member has a 45day period for returns and exchange. my note pro has at least spike at the button screen (backlight bleeding) and screen flickers.
got mine for $599 at best buy.
Ah thats why I love Costco, 90 day return and the same price. New Tab pro is running like a champ, no lag or freezing. My first note pro had the screen flickering problem, returned it right away.
any news on this

ianrobbie posted an approach to root the Tab Pro 12.2 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729907 that worked for me as well, although the first time I tried it I had an issue leading to a soft brick of sorts and had to download and reflash a stock rom to fix. Subsequently it worked like a charm.
In short the Note Pro 12.2 CF Autoroot from Chainfire appears to work on the Tab Pro 12.2 as well, but has not been tested thoroughly. I haven't had any issues in the last 18 hours or so with my rooted SM-T900, including xposed installer, Wanam, Folder Mount, etc.

Hi. Which ROM did you download please? Tried a couple of different ones, and no luck.

I did download a later firmware version that what was on the device to undo the soft brick. This is the version I updated to: T900XXUANB6_T900SEKANC1_SEK on the sammobile site.
Then I was able to flash the Note 12.2 CF Autoroot successfully.
Not sure if it was the newer firmware version or using Odin 3.07 instead of Odin 3.09 which I used when I soft bricked it, but its definitely rooted now and working well.
I also just rooted my SM-T900 with the SM-P900 chainfire files. I used the 3.07 Odin included in the zip from the official chainfire site. It took about 1 minute or so, no problems at all.
Just reading this thread and thought I would throw my opinion in.
I was the one who (noobishly) flashed the wrong .tar in Odin 3.09 to root my Tab Pro. I had been reading the wrong thread and followed the instructions someone else has posted for the SMP-900.
So far, absolutely no problems whatsoever. Xposed runs fine with Wanam installed and a few other modules.
The only wrinkle found so far is that it seems to screw up the Samsung OTA updates. You get a "Device Modified error".

The inability for OTA updated and the related Device Modified Error are one of the downsides of rooting. I've always gotten the same results when rooting my Samsung Galaxy phones as well.
Honestly I'd rather the device not be auto updating after rooting to avoid it breaking the root or worse. Firmware updates, if needed, can be applied via recovery or Odin and may need a subsequent re-root if its a stock update vs a customized rom.

Exactly my thoughts. I remember having an S3 and reading all about tripping the Custom ROM counter and it was the same as this. Before I even had the tablet, I had the files on my desktop, ready to root.
Hopefully, there should be a wee bit of development for the 12.2 soon. Xposed and all is fine, but I would just like a nice, 4.4.2 debloated ROM.
Everything just now seems to be for the 8.4
So i recently been wanting to root my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 again, the first time i did it in TowelRoot and it worked just fine, but i had to turn it in for warranty, i got a new one and I'm wanting to root it, i open TowelRoot and it says "This phone isn't currently supported". What? that doesn't make sense because i did the same process before with the exact same model phone and it worked just fine ( I run 4.4.2 ) as i looked into the problem i found that if you tap the "welcome to the towelroot v3" 3 times, it gives you a code that you can change, i changed it to all the available codes to try and fix it, got nothing. i have no idea why its deciding to not root this phone but it worked just fine with my first Note 3. Please someone help, any help is fine.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck
Towelroot won't work on kitkat, you need chainfire's autoroot, look in original development.
Pp.
If you flash the NE6 kernel using Odin you can then use Towelroot to root your phone. Then you can flash the NK3 kernel back If you want
I have been trying to root my note 4 with kingroot and always it restarts my phone, I am running 4.4.4 kitkat, on a verizon note 4 retail. SM-N910V, 4.4.4, NJ5. Anyone know any suggestions? I have tried kingroot 4.0 and the newest one even tried PC neither works, all I want root for is for freedom to get coins on cookie jam.
Yeah. Kingroot won't work on my toaster or laptop either... anyone have any suggestions?
