I will work with no problems. I have done this many times as I forget my charger at a friends and use thier iPhone, WiMax, Bluetooth chargers.
I used to charge my WFS with philips mp3 charger. It works without any problem

I charge mine with my dad's LG Optimus One P500 charger if I forget mine.
If you have any of those phones, just twist the phone cable and put it in.
It works vice versa too.
USB is a standard voltage. You will be fine. There's essentially no difference between both the adapters you have.

USB is 5V and will carge fine anywhere from 500mA (standard computer USB port) to 2-3A (most wall and car chargers). I have only once seen a USB wall charger that violated this, it was 6V and came with a AA battery charger. you'll be fine with the ipad one.
I use a trust and ipod chrager, no problem since now!
any voltage up to 6V should be alright, the phone regulates it down to 5V automatically (though more heat is generated). the problems occur the other way where the charger doesn't have enough voltage (ex. my tablet requires 5.3V to charge normally, on 5.1 it takes a few days, and 5.0 it continues to drain the battery)

if you have 5v and 1Ah you can use it without any damge to battery if it's 1Ah+ it will charge your phone fatser but it will overheat phone. if it 1Ah- it will charge slow and after long using wont charge it till 100%
Chargers are so cheap on e-bay.... I usually get all my accessories there!

[Q] Car charger keeps disconnecting/reconnecting when i try to charge s3?!

i have one of those bullet usb car chargers and i recently tried it out with my s3 at 15% battery life and it keeps comming up with the lower battery warning while i'm connected to the car charger and the status bar shows one moment it's charging, one moment it's not! I opened up this charger and the data lines are by default shorted together. The charger is rated at 1aH max. Any ideas?? I've attached pics of the insides of the charger.
Suggestions are welcome. I've just been using my s3 wall charger off ab inveter since switching to android and it's getting pretty annoying.
Does the charger work with other devices?

works on a tom tom gps and an iphone 4s (of course only at 500mah because the data lines aren't at the correct voltage for idevices).

USB port bad on your S3 possibly? My s2, i remember, when you pressed it down it disconnected
Try a different charger.
Not all chargers agree with all phones.
If it's not out of the question just get a new car charger made to work with the t999.

No problems charging on other chargers or charging My s3 with this car charger when the car is off with the car battery left on. When the car engine starts, the voltage of the cigarette port drops from around 14.5v to ~12v
It's a 12v power source.... Can you try another car charger?? What model is it?

When a car isn't running though it's around 14v...this is when my S3 has no problems charging on this charger. I have some usb car chargers (idevice chargers) that don't have the data lines shorted and these work fine with the S3 apart from them not charging at 1aH.

[Q] Charging as USB even though I'm using the wall original wall charger

Hi!
I bought my GNII a week ago and phone is awesome!
The only problem is it takes soooooooooo long to charge. I didn't assume that something was wrong yet since it is new. After charging for the third time and it's still slow, I searched for answers but came back empty. So I'm here hoping somebody could help at least so that I could do everything on my end before contacting my provider.
Here are some information:
1. Charger that I am using is the stock charger that came along with the phone. USB cable and Original Charger.
2. Phone is not rooted.
3. When I plug it using the wall charger (USB cable + Original Charger) it is being detected as USB instead of AC.
Hope somebody could help.
Thanks!

No there aren't , the problem is with the defective 4 pin usb cable bundeld with few of our sets actually we need to have 5 pin cables for proper charging , had exactly the same problem with my s3 puechased a HTC usb cable after that my problem was gone for good.

Yep the one packed with it is usb3 which is a bit faster. The other one is usb2 which is a bit slower.

Hi! Some breakthrough. I charged my phone at the office using the wall charger and plugging it to a UPS and VIOLA!! It charged as AC!! Could you (or anybody) know why?
Root, flash a custom kernel which supports fast usb charging

will it charge like AC after flashing? Rooting it would be my last option since I just discovered it could charge as AC without rooting. The only problem is why it charges as USB on wall charger but AC on a UPS.

That kernel will charge at 900mA by default over a normal usb connection.
I flashed it rather that the sock kernel just for that reason, plus for me it gives improved battery life etc over the stock kernel. You can overclock also but I have no desire to do that with the Note 2 as its pleanty fast enough already.
Does anyone know off a kernel that actually has usb fast charging enabled in it ?

[Q] Problem with charger

Hi everyone
I have galaxy gio, recently when i connect wall charger to my device (and any charger of similar device and working for all own device) nothing do.
but when i connect usb cable to my device, my device is charging.
where is the problem?
please help
thanks
Well ... seems that the charger is broken. Maybe try another one . Also make sure to have the right sockets 110 V / 220 V current whatever country you`re in and that you have the right charger for it.

my charger charge galaxy s i9000 well, but dont charge my gio.
Is it the original charger from Gio ? It should output 5V ~ 0,7A
i had the same problem and was told by buy another charger
bought another one(original) and it didn't work
so i returned it and bought an universal charger 5v 1A ( a usb universal charger i think it was called) and problem solved
it shouldn't damage your battery because i think our gio has a voltage/amperage regulator(but don't quote me on that, i'm not 100% sure)

Thanks alot my friends i think your answer is true i try it :fingers-crossed:
Here another Gio, which can only be charged with a USB cable. Wall charger doesn't work, however, sometimes a whole night connected to a wall charger will actually charge the Gio... very strange. Tried several wall chargers, they are not the problem.
What's is causing this? Is it software (ROM) related or a hardware failure?

Im sure its hardware prob! Custom ROM can never do that or it could be that charger is faulty

Every problem is different clearly.
Considder verifying dust in the gio connector. It picks up dust...bad contact and no more charging.
Clean it and it works for months again
Enthusiastic Gio User
Very glad with the work done
But sometimes a pusher for results( nothing bad intended)
We've found a workaround.
Shutdown the Gio and remove the battery. Plug in the wall AC charger in the Gio. Put back the battery and it will be charged by the wall AC charger.

[Q] Very slow charging. why??

When i connect my galaxy note 2 to stock charger it shows that in my battery stats it's charging as USB not AC.
Well what's supposed to be the problem. is my charger broken or the usb port in my phone is damaged??
Are you using the stock charger with the stock USB cable? My note 2 was charging really slow until I realized that the USB extension cable I was using wasn't delivering enough juice.

Do you have another 2A charger/USB cable that you can test from? I use an HP Touchpad charger + cable because its 2A and has a long cable.
I just happen to experience the same thing. I have had my Note II for a couple of weeks now and it have always charged from almost empty to full in less than 2,5 hours. Today however, it's going really slow. I do not know why. I've tried everything I can think of. I juse only the stock charger. Also tried the Ipad charger - no luck. This seem to be a quite common problem.
Hmm, just as I thought, more and more of this should be coming in upcoming days. I lost two good night's sleep because of this. Anyway, this is what I have done and you guys SHOULD do.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37052690&postcount=1
first time ever i have faced this issue (slow charging) couple of days back. it was dropped to almost 1%/3min
I have simply reboot to recovery and wiped cache
Now it come back to normal 40%/hr.

I have discovered that the stock charging usb-cable only has 4 pins in the micro-usb end. It looks like on is missing, from the standard five-pins. Can anyone check your stock usbs and see if there are four or five pins, and report back? Thanks!

My cable got only 4 pins. The second from the right is missing if you have the USB logo up.

I found a huge variance in charging rates based on a combination of chargers and cables. Goes to show that the cable makes a huge difference. Here's my findings:
** Stock Charger (2A):
w/Stock Cable (4-pin) - 1698
w/Cable from another phone (5-pin) - 1698
w/Cable from battery pack (5-pin)- 1698
w/generic eBay cable (4-pin)- 100! - It didn't charge at all, even with screen off.
** iPhone Charger (1A):
w/Stock Cable (4-pin) - 1300
w/Cable from another phone (5-pin) - 1100
w/Cable from battery pack (5-pin) - 1300
w/generic eBay cable (4-pin) - 100!
** Car Charger (1A):
w/another generic eBay cable - 490
