Hi everyone,
I flashed Radio 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M on my Desire HD with ViperDHD 2.3.0 and experienced a high battery drain. So I decided to flash back 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M - HTC 3.12.405.1 WWE but after flashing this radio, my phone was stuck in a bootloop, it got past the white HTC Screen but not after the boot animation.
So again I tried to go back to 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M but it is still not working, whtat do I do now?
Thank you for your help!!

Use android flasher .....very useful software you can flash easily through this SW...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
Hey, thanks for your replies!
If I download a radio file from the page and rename it to PD98IMG, in bootscreen it is parsed but then nothing happens, I think you cannot install those radios like that...
I used the android flasher tool and flashes the latest radio...didn't work, it is still bootlooping
Any other ideas?
Thanks again for your help!!
As I suspected, I downloaded one of those zips and your right, you can't use those for PD98IMG.ZIP method as they are not correct or compleat, there are 2 files missing inside and I also belive the zip needs to be signed to flash new radio like that too.
Those zips only contain the radio.img file and can only be flashed in fastboot mode, from memory the command is
Fastboot flash radio radio.img
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Yes, I suspected that, too, and already flashed the radiofile using fastboot mode, and that was successfull, but my phone is still not booting

Yes, I am still able to boot into recovery. I wiped cache and dalvik and even restored system and boot from a backup but this didn't help either..
try this:http://www.4shared.com/zip/Q4NeZZpU/pd98img-dhd-radio_12656029_261.html
if not this radio just change the radio.img in the directory.
mine works well.
and when i searched at net i tried to flash via fastboot method it said failed
i searched and found that i had eng s-on(another security after normal s-off)
but the pd98img thing successfully flashed my radio.
maybe the radio ur downloading is compatible with ur device.
Tanks again for your help, but this is somehow not the problem. All the radios I flash are flashed successfully and yet it will not boot..there must be something else, that prevents correct booting process..

Ok, try flashing a RUU (that contains Radio among other partitions) Make sure that you wipe and format everything before the flashing and see what happens.
But flashing RUU will give me a stock room and I will loose my CMW-Recovery and I won't be able to fllash a custom rom, right?
[SOLVED]
Okay, thanks again everbody for your help. I just flashed another custom rom(KingCobraDHD) and everything is just working fine!

i have a big issue, i wanted to update my radio, wimax, ect on my rooted evo.. so i downgraded clockword mod back to v2.5.0.7 because of the scripts and binary issues so i could zip the files then i flashed HBOOT-0.76.2000 now my phone stays on the bootloader screen and when i go to recovery to flash and restore a backup it keeps telling me checking MD5 sums.... erasing boot before restore...... restoring boot image.. Erroe while flashing boot image, what is wrong with my boot image why cant it find it and can anyone help sorry im still kinda a noob
Did you properly sign the zip you made? Did you know that Calkulin has already created a zip containing the radio updates and it is available to download from http://www.mediafire.com/file/9a1ju....00.11.19_WiMAX_27167_R01_PRI_NV_1.90_003.zip
All you have to do is go into recovery and flash it. As for the HBOOT you flashed, what version did you have prior to flashing HBOOT v0.76.2000? I hope it wasn't v2.10.0001 or 2.02.0000 because they allegedly cannot be downgraded. Finally, are you able to boot into your homescreen or are you stuck looping into the bootloader or recovery screen?
If you have the eng bootloader you can pull the boot.img and use 'fastboot flash boot boot.img'.
Of course you'll need to have the phone in fastboot mode and the boot.img in the same folder as fastboot.

i cant recall which hboot i had but it might have been 2.10 or 2.20 so if i cant downgrade does that mean im screwed? and as far as the bootscreen yea i am stuck looping around in both that and the recovery screen so how should i go about it because i already had flashed the new radios ect it was when i flashed that hboot 0.76.2000 that got everything messed up
it says my ENG S-OFF what does that mean again

So I figured something that I didn't think of before I put a pc36img on the root of my sd and it updated everything so I'm up and running again guys thanx for your support
Hi there!
I have a DHD, but while rooting i had this problem. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed cwm recovery, but after flashing leedroid, the phone stucks at the HTC logo.
I need help. Is there a way to revert to a stock rom? I have tried official Ruu, but it says error 155, even in fastboot mode.
Or, can you suggest me a WORKING custom rom (with tutorial), because leedroid wont boot up.
That's not the problem of the rom u flashed, I guess u have flashed a corrupted file download the file again or may be its the problem with the hboot,
I have downloaded leedroid from the official site, i did a full wipe, flashed the rom and then patched it. And it stucks
Habe u checked the MD5 file?

haven't. What does it used for?
MD5s are used for verifying a correct download. When downloading, files can be corrupted. Every change in the file make it get another MD5.
You find the correct MD5s at the downloadlinks of most roms and check them by using tools like "MD5 Check". This tool is small and you can find it easily via google.
When I am trying to install the official ruu, it starts, but the I get a message, about error 140. I fogured out that it means i am trying to install an older ruu.
My device says I am on 3.13.0.0. My question is, where can i find this rom?
You wont be able to flash official rom without booting your phone. Try to flash any other custom rom first I hope it will boot if you have done all the root process successfully.
It gets stuck because you flashed the rom incorrectly. First you should have NOT unlocked your boot loader through HTC dev.the hack kit is the onlyway to go.
2) to flash a rom on a device that has been unlocked needs an extra step. Flashing the boot.img. so take the boot.img of what ever you want(this case leedroid). Place it in your fast boot folder. The run this command
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot reboot
You will have to do this for every from you flash, or you'll get stuck. 4ext recovery has a option to do this step for you and make it feel like the regular way flashing roms

hi guys
i've desire hd with : software number 3.16.751.3 , s-on , bootloader unlocked with htc dev and cid is HTC__621
so i 've changed the recovery to recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.1.5-ace.img
then i tired to flash custom rom after finishing the process
i restarted the phone and stuck with booting screen
what should i do ??
plz help
Did you root the phone before? And you need S-OFF in order to flash custom roms. See if you can find a ruu and flash it while you phone connected to pc
Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using xda premium
You don't need soff to flash custom roms. You should have used the hack kit to root. I would try as suggested and get back to stock and run the kit.
But now for the issue at hand. The reason you get stuck is because you failed to flash the boot.img . With HTC dev unlocked phones you have to do it manually
Just get the rooms boot.Img and run
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now i understand what i did ,but from where i can get the boot.img fit to my phone ??
thanks :good:
Just use the custom rom boot.img that u want to flash it

Okay, so I decided to root and flash a new rom on my phone since I didn't like my stock one. I went through all the processes (I think). I flashed the recovery, installed superu or whatever its called, wiped my phones rom, tried to flash a rom called paranoid android and it said it failed. I then realized I forgot to make a backup.... i restarted my phone and now it's stuck in the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen. I have no idea what to do

Here's a handy guide for you.
I used it myself back when I screwed up.
If you have Virgin Mobile then the RUU you want is called
Code:
RUU_PRIMO_C_ICS_40A_Sprint_WWE_VM_1.08.652.6_Radio_1.00.00.0521_2_NV_VM_3.46_0503_PRL61008_release_262414_signed.exe
If not, then try to figure it out. Good luck! :fingers-crossed:

**** logic.... if he flashed a new recovery, he obviously unlocked his bootloader.....
as for the OP's problem: dude, your downloaded rom is corrupted, download the rom again and flash it. and do not forget, you also need to flash the correct kernel.

Get in the recovery, mounts and storage, mount usb storage. Now the computer will open your sd card folder, so just put the rom there and flash it normally. For the kernel, get to the hboot connect the phone to the computer and wait that it says fast boot usb, then put the kernel in the fast boot folder on your computer, run the cmd, get to the fast boot folder and type fastboot flash boot (your kernel).img

Okay I got my kernal flashed and a rom with cyanogenmod thing. But it seems to freeze and then reboot by itself a lot.. I feel helpless
do a full wipe from recovery.
Sent from my ST25i
Full wipe, then try a different ROM? I liked CM10 but I guess it doesn't like me back
yeah, you also have to install its specific kernel
Okay I got the cdma pacman rom and its specified kernel. It STILL reboots after 30 seconds. Someone in that thread mentioned flashing over a stock rom, but that just confuses me. I just want to be able to make some calls badly
now fool n final do this.>>>
1. download rom and gapps, transfer them to root of SD card
2. extract boot.img(the kernel) from ROM zip and place it in fastboot folder(or use whichever kernel prescribed by the dev)
3. go into bootloader, FIRST flash the boot.img in fastboot(does the screen say FASTBOOT USB when u connect the phone to the PC?)
4. go into recovery, then FULL WIPE-factory reset, erase cache and dalvik cache.
5. then flash the ROM.
6. boot into the rom.then again enter into recovery and then flash gapps.
do the above steps in the same order all over again....
Full*
You most likely have the new update and radio. The newer one ends in .9xx, the one you need ends in .5xx. Can't remember the exact numbers. Download and install the RUU with Sprint in the name and you will be able install a custom Rom and kernel.
Okay thanks I will try that.

Hi,
I'll try to be breif and to the point as much as possible.
I have upgraded to 4.2.2 using this ROM
However, my Hboot was at 0.95.0000, S-ON. I followed the instruction of the JBFWTOOL21 on youtube
So the ROM booted properly. But don't have any service. When I go to "About phone", my IMEI, baseband version and network are all "unknown". So I'm not sure what causing this issue.
I attempted to reflash my previous CM9 ROM, but it doesn't get in an infinite loading loop at boot.
I'm not quite sure what to do next.
Thx,
Gen
Have you still the same HBoot? You should upgrade your hboot if your cid allows it.
The new ROM‘s need Hboot 1.31 minimum

You flashed the corret boot.img or(it´s inside the zip)?
Fastboot>flash boot.img it>Recovery>flash ROM>Boot
But before you do that flash the newest TWRP 2.5
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/endeavoru/openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-endeavoru.img
Fastboot.exe flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-endeavoru.img
Fastboot.ese erase cache
You can try to flash another ROM like SlimBean or something.
I had a similar process.
1. Flash ROM in recovery
2. Flash Gapps in recovery
3. Flash boot.img in fastboot
I just tried with SlimBean, but the radio state is still at Off. Here is the process that was done
1. Downloaded TWRP2.5 as you instructed
2. Download SlimBean 4.2.2 from their website
3. Flash TWRP2.5 using fastboot
4. Extracted SlimBean's boot.img from .zip
5. Flash boot.img using fastboot
6. Transfered ROM and Gapps
7. Flash ROM using recovery
8. Flash Gapps using recovery
9. Booted
Unfortunately, I still have no baseband and no network.
I have also access *#*#4636*#*# and set the network to "GSM auto". Didn't do anything
I have attempted with
CM9: cm_endeavoru-ota-eng.noeri-003
That also did not work. Since multiple CM10 ROM and 1 CM9 ROM failed, it's fair to conclude that the ROM version might not have anything to do with it. I'll try to change my approach and research about the radio and what can make the baseband screw up.
Alright, so I am feeling like the problem is because I flashed the wrong hboot. Now I'm trying to get 0.95.00 back onto it.

you can't get back older hboot....it should work all...did you really wiped completely ? factory reset, dalvik cache and cache? try also wipe system...and flash back if not try a custom kernel...repack it and flash it also the zip where the boot.img is inside...
Yep, I tried it again. After some more research, there are a few people that had the same symptoms. It appears that it is a hardware fault with the radio.
There are also other weird symptoms that happened even before I flashed Jelly Beans, such as battery draining, phone overheating, random system restart. That might support a hardware failure of some kind.
For now, I am using a HTC Desire as my backup phone. I'll do some more testing when I have time.
