[Q] No Signal after Flashing CM10 - HTC One X

Hi,
I'll try to be breif and to the point as much as possible.
I have upgraded to 4.2.2 using this ROM
However, my Hboot was at 0.95.0000, S-ON. I followed the instruction of the JBFWTOOL21 on youtube
So the ROM booted properly. But don't have any service. When I go to "About phone", my IMEI, baseband version and network are all "unknown". So I'm not sure what causing this issue.
I attempted to reflash my previous CM9 ROM, but it doesn't get in an infinite loading loop at boot.
I'm not quite sure what to do next.
Thx,
Gen

Have you still the same HBoot? You should upgrade your hboot if your cid allows it.
The new ROM‘s need Hboot 1.31 minimum

I went from HBoot 0.95.0000 to 1.33.0000.
My CID was HTC__621. The JBFWTOOL21 upgraded it during the process.

You flashed the corret boot.img or(it´s inside the zip)?
Fastboot>flash boot.img it>Recovery>flash ROM>Boot
But before you do that flash the newest TWRP 2.5
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/endeavoru/openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-endeavoru.img
Fastboot.exe flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-endeavoru.img
Fastboot.ese erase cache
You can try to flash another ROM like SlimBean or something.

I had a similar process.
1. Flash ROM in recovery
2. Flash Gapps in recovery
3. Flash boot.img in fastboot
I just tried with SlimBean, but the radio state is still at Off. Here is the process that was done
1. Downloaded TWRP2.5 as you instructed
2. Download SlimBean 4.2.2 from their website
3. Flash TWRP2.5 using fastboot
4. Extracted SlimBean's boot.img from .zip
5. Flash boot.img using fastboot
6. Transfered ROM and Gapps
7. Flash ROM using recovery
8. Flash Gapps using recovery
9. Booted
Unfortunately, I still have no baseband and no network.
I have also access *#*#4636*#*# and set the network to "GSM auto". Didn't do anything

I have attempted with
CM9: cm_endeavoru-ota-eng.noeri-003
That also did not work. Since multiple CM10 ROM and 1 CM9 ROM failed, it's fair to conclude that the ROM version might not have anything to do with it. I'll try to change my approach and research about the radio and what can make the baseband screw up.

Alright, so I am feeling like the problem is because I flashed the wrong hboot. Now I'm trying to get 0.95.00 back onto it.

you can't get back older hboot....it should work all...did you really wiped completely ? factory reset, dalvik cache and cache? try also wipe system...and flash back if not try a custom kernel...repack it and flash it also the zip where the boot.img is inside...

Yep, I tried it again. After some more research, there are a few people that had the same symptoms. It appears that it is a hardware fault with the radio.
There are also other weird symptoms that happened even before I flashed Jelly Beans, such as battery draining, phone overheating, random system restart. That might support a hardware failure of some kind.
For now, I am using a HTC Desire as my backup phone. I'll do some more testing when I have time.

Would you have a forum thread. I only found mentions of it on XDA and Google. This was the only radio thread on XDA:

I was running arhd and have reflashed it to stock so i was thinking it should be fine but apparently not
i also would like to say if i reflash hboot to 1.31 wouldnt that mean i have to reboot into my software to reboot?
you cant reflash with hboot 1.28 to stock AFAIK, please confirm what you are trying to do and what files you have ready to flash.
And you dont need to be in the "software" to do anything with flashing.
Okay ill give it a go so i should be able to flash to 1.31 hboot as im on the correct CID
Then re-flash recovery then reflash rom? and that should thererfore fix my problem?
As i cant boot into recovery or rom only the hboot?
Okay help again please im up to 1.31 hboot reflashed everything ect went to install maximus10 and now it starts to boot up as i unlock it everything crashes so i have Android.process has stop working and much more like htc clock ect then it crashes and phone reboots any ideas?
OK, heres what you need: Warning, you will lose all user/appdata, your SD will remain untouched
files:
1- Maximus10.zip (or whatever rom you want)
2- boot.img ,extract it from the first file
3- custom recovery.img (must be latest)
4- unlocked and updated hboot to 1.31
5- fastboot/adb files (you can get it here if you don't have it already)
Steps:
1- get into bootloader, flash custom recovery AND boot.img
2- get into recovery, wipe system AND userdata/data AND cache
3- install zip of your ROM and don't flash the tweaks until you reboot once.
4- Reboot
Done that already its not booting still :/

Did you get any errors? At any point?
Edit : If you didn't get any errors that means either you didn't follow the process properly or the files you downloaded are corrupt.

[Q] htc one x rebooting

please help me! I tried to flash a new rom and after doing the 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' command it keeps restarting. The phone is booting to the lock screen and i can only see the wallpaper, and after 2 seconds it restarts.
Details please. What ROM did you flash and what ROM did you come from? What guide or method did you follow to install the new ROM? What backups do you have available? If none, then what is you CID and Mainver number to see someone has provided a nanadroid backup for you to use.

P.S. i tried to do nandroid restore, and a factory reset but it won't help
It could be because of incompatibility with the current system and/or userdata
Did you:
1) flash the right system.img for this boot.img. it should be provided with the ROM
2) do a factory reset / erase userdata
To install system you do:
Fastboot flash system system.img
To erase userdata:
Fastboot erase userdata
You can also send me the result of the logcat untill the device reboots if adb debugging is enabled
Can you specify also which ROM are you using

Verify djodjoni's suggestions and instructions. Post what you've learned.
I thought I recognized your username. You've posted recently. hboot 1.36 but ICS rom loaded, so you are looking for a jellybean rom that works with your new Hboot that some dodgy repair shop loaded. I take it you've opted for ViperX. Is this right?

where i have to put the boot.img file to flash it? i want to be sure not to harm my phone even more
I'm not using the ViperX ROM, I'm actually using stock, but great instructions for flashing roms is available here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904
i flashed the rom but after the htc and venom boot animation it stops at the htc logo and not entering lock screen like earlier
Can somebody help me solve this problem?
Ur doing smth wrong. what exactly are you doing there? Step by step.
Also can you do adb shell?
yuhuu
i solved the problem. I found another cid orang309 nandroid back up and it worked!!!
when i tried to restore with my back up, where was the same problem. But now it works fine.
Also i had android version 4.0.3 which they installed at gsm repair, and it was laggy, but now i have 4.0.4 and works just fine)))
btw you don't know when we'll receive 4.1.2? because when i bought it, it had 4.1.2

Well, had the same issue. Cid 621. Didn't figure out what happened. Few times tried full wipe, installing the ROM which previously worked for me. Of course flashing appropriate boot. It was boot loop all the time. Was scared that I bricked my device. Thus tried final step - reverting to stock with ruu. And then everything worked. I was thinking that my hboot 1.33 was the latest for my cid. But after reverting to stock (well phone received two or three otas), hboot is showing 1.39. Thus my guess it is something very strange and could be hboot related. Otherwise I am lost. Currently still running stock after a year of custom Roms. Well it is not that bad after all. Will stay stock and see how it is for while.

Your hboot is enough for that...maybe you forgot to flash in fastboot with fastboot flash boot boot.img and fastboot erase cache ...if that doesn't help make a full wipe with also wiping system and reinstall whole Rom again....but I would say sense 5 Rom is much better then any aosp or cm Rom

Well, that is the point. I am "experienced" flasher. Thus repeated all this steps (even with factory resets, using clean scripts, manually formatting partitions, flashing CM-10.2 test build, which already worked for me with appropriate boot. Nothing helped!!! I wanted to try to log the problem, but since usb debugging was off, I couldn't get any logs. And had no other choice then to go back to stock.
PS Do not have a clue, since this was first time in my experience when Simple wiping and flashing didn't work. The only reasons which I see - either hboot related, or something with gapps. Perhaps I should have tried to flash rom without gapps. but I already on stock and wish to wait for the 4.2.2 update.

[Q] Stuck in Bootloop after flashing old radio

Hi everyone,

So again I tried to go back to 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M but it is still not working, whtat do I do now?

Use android flasher .....very useful software you can flash easily through this SW...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
Hey, thanks for your replies!
If I download a radio file from the page and rename it to PD98IMG, in bootscreen it is parsed but then nothing happens, I think you cannot install those radios like that...
I used the android flasher tool and flashes the latest radio...didn't work, it is still bootlooping
Any other ideas?
Thanks again for your help!!
As I suspected, I downloaded one of those zips and your right, you can't use those for PD98IMG.ZIP method as they are not correct or compleat, there are 2 files missing inside and I also belive the zip needs to be signed to flash new radio like that too.
Those zips only contain the radio.img file and can only be flashed in fastboot mode, from memory the command is
Fastboot flash radio radio.img

Yes, I suspected that, too, and already flashed the radiofile using fastboot mode, and that was successfull, but my phone is still not booting

Yes, I am still able to boot into recovery. I wiped cache and dalvik and even restored system and boot from a backup but this didn't help either..
try this:http://www.4shared.com/zip/Q4NeZZpU/pd98img-dhd-radio_12656029_261.html
if not this radio just change the radio.img in the directory.
mine works well.
and when i searched at net i tried to flash via fastboot method it said failed
i searched and found that i had eng s-on(another security after normal s-off)
but the pd98img thing successfully flashed my radio.
maybe the radio ur downloading is compatible with ur device.
Tanks again for your help, but this is somehow not the problem. All the radios I flash are flashed successfully and yet it will not boot..there must be something else, that prevents correct booting process..

Ok, try flashing a RUU (that contains Radio among other partitions) Make sure that you wipe and format everything before the flashing and see what happens.
But flashing RUU will give me a stock room and I will loose my CMW-Recovery and I won't be able to fllash a custom rom, right?
[SOLVED]
Okay, thanks again everbody for your help. I just flashed another custom rom(KingCobraDHD) and everything is just working fine!

Stuck in Bootloader, cant boot recovery. Help save my phone.

So I was flashing a new rom (ICE Rom) for my htc m9. I flashed it without wiping the data and the process was successful without any errors. When i tried to reboot the phone it took me to the bootloader. All i could do was switch between recovery, bootloader and download mode. I tried to reflash the rom but the recovery kept restarting as soon as i press the button to flash, as if it was crashing. I thought, maybe if i update the recovery i could flash the zip. I tried to update recovery from bootloader but i couldn't since my device is S-ON. So being me, a gigantic wannabe android dev, went to the RUU and flashed the recovery img. And now when I try to access the recovery it gives me an error, "Failed to boot to recovery mode". I also believe that i might have accidentally deleted the OS, but I am not sure about that. Really need HELP. PLEASE.
Summary:
HTC M9
Unlocked
S-ON
Cant access recovery
Can access RUU, Bootloader, Download mode.
-------------------------------------------------------
Edit: I flashed the oldest possible twrp recovery image and was able to access the recovery after that. Only need to find a way to fix the other problem.
What is your firmware version? If you tried to install a Marshmallow based ROM without upgrading the firmware, that might explain your symptoms.

I am not sure about the firmware version but I flashed a updated version of my previous rom, and now i can boot normally. Not sure what the issue was. Both the roms are marshmallow. Any ideas what the problem could have been?
Yea. Messed up boot and recovery cache versions, as well as maybe a broken recovery partition.
You messaged me in private saying you had the same issue as the other dude. If that was the case, he has a bad NAND chip pretty sure.
For now, I doubt that is the case on your phone. However, should you end up with a broken recovery that wasn't flashed fully or was and then went to sh!t later, that could be an indicator for a bad NAND too. Could. It can also be a number of other things like just bad flashing practice, bad flashing hardware (cable, ports, drivers, incompatible controller chips...) etc.
If I were you, I would see that I get my hands on a good, current RUU and run that.
Either as zip, which I would flash by using an SDCard, or by exe, which I would run on my PC with the phone connected and working drivers. The drivers are most safely obtained by installing HTC Sync Manager from here: http://www.htc.com/us/software/htc-sync-manager/.
US RUU's you will find here: http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html
For any other RUU, non-US, you will need to dig through XDA, Google Search, known sites such as AFH, Androidruu.com, ir-files....
The RUU would even out all partitions and get them into a reliable stock state. Then you could reflash TWRP afterwards and then a ROM. Viper preferably. Because that is my Team and I helped you
