I Hope Everyone Know About The Work In Progress Of CM7 By Madteam....I Want To Inform They Started The Work On May 16 ,2012 And It's Still Work In Progress ..So U Gonna Have To Wait Little Longer For A Perfect CM7 For Galaxy Y.....Full Credits To Madteam...If U Don't Know Then Search Google You Might Find Information About CM7...

I have seen v.1 there are too many things are fixed but they are trying to make a kernel for cm 7 so can be a stable version and fixing wifi,bluetooth,and too many things
graphics are better than beta version of cm 7 they will fix it soon

A complete bug free cm7 will be good. Then atleast we won't be needing ics

I too tried the v1 almost all bugs are fixed but still a few annoying ones are still left!!! :fingers-crossed:

I think they must have nearly compleated it. Waiting to get CM7 on sgy since a long time.
( I searched most of xda andCM sites for CM for SGY)
Atleast CM devs should have taken a look at the number of threads made on their forums for request to release a official CM for sgy​

Yes Why I'm sorry but I think everyone should consider to buy a Xperia mini as it isn't that expensive and much better than the Galaxy Young (Just sell that Young xD) and btw It was to laggy to play games on also

I had a mini of my friend with cm7 and it was running slow as ****. The games worked better in gy it was too laggy. You'll regret the decision if you take mini go atleast for x10 or a higher end model. One thing man cm7 isn't everything. It will be laggy in cm7 than on stock based roms on gy . Cm9 is just a dream for this phone. Anyways, good luck

When I see at Cm site and forum phones like lg optimus one, htc desire or samsung galaxy mini I feel awful.
How this phones and many other low spect phones do have CM and we don't.
We all know that SGY is better than mini(not such a big deal) or htc desire(froyo, lower screen resolution) or lg optimus one(king of lag and bugs, froyo).
And I wonded how are those drivers so important that a lot lower phones are getting higher and us lower?
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and help me figure out this mistery...

Our gpu and cpu are configured in such a way that we can't use half of its power...
Our gpu is good one....
Devs are trying hard...
And CM developers are not so expert to make one for our device....
Even all devs of sgs3,2,1, galaxy nexus, nexus s, nexus 7, htc one x, note 1, 2, Galaxy tab, many more...
Will be unable to make a fully working cm widout drivers...

you should have gotten a mini,
it's reality that we don't have CM for this device,
it does not bother me though,
we have a lot of custom roms though not as good as a stable CM could be but it's better than nothing,
there are nearly 2,000+ android devices and only about 30(?)+ has a CM and nearly 300(?)+ has developed custom OEM roms,
so consider us luckier than nothing

The parts were manufactured by different companies the company that made ours refuses to share it, it has nothing to go with specs

They didnt get the drivers! They are using ours still..
they hav almost stable cm7 because of the active dev support..

because of the developers,
we lack certain people with complete knowledge of these topics,
that is why we are stuck with this matter,

and not all countries has nexus 4 readily available,

Here is difference.
Ace 5830i is using broadcomm chip which also havnt got drivers and they also are stuck on CM 7.2 .
The one which has ics jb is ace 5830. i is differenciating both.

I found it good
I used my grand for 3 months without rooting and in that time i was playing a few good games and didnt feel anything odd. It is good for gaming. :good:

Yes very good for gaming.. Latest 4.2.2 have much improvement in graphics and gaming.. Feels like holding s4 in hand..
From galaxy grand 4.2.2 firmware..

After flashing new firmware it feels like I bought s4 at 20000rs

Actually Samsung has released 4.2 JB but s Samsung has not updated to 4.4 its coz Samsung only targets New and flagship mobiles for updates..So we lag behind and finally dropped of from list...It's not that they can't give they can but they won't...Its Samsung Rules..

Know any other broadcom based android that has been updated to 4.4?? Even the newer grand neo wid bcm23550 comes wid 4.2 ... Blame broadcom not sammy

Name a canvas wid 4.3 ... Mtk6589 hasnt received even 4.3 yet

if u have rooted ur phone u can flash cm11 based roms it is based on kitkat 4.4 n its far more better in terms of performance n battery life as compared to stock roms
