Hi,
Is there a way to activate WCDMA only on ROM "Super Jelly Bean 6" ?
Thanks.
BTW:
I would ask in the Thread for this Image (Development Forum), but because of the stupid rule (newbie) of this Website I'm not allowed.
Ye, activate widget toggle 2g/3g.
Scroll down to network mode and enable 2g/3g only
Now use the toggle to set 3g only
Ps. 2g = gsm. 3g=wcdma

Which Widget do you mean.
All Widgets I can find on Store are leading only to the networks menu.
And in this network menu I'm not able to activate 3g-only. There is ni menu-point for this.
Only the point "2g-only" is there.
On original ROM at this point was that option....
Yes, i ment the widgets is settings-system-notification drawer

Wow! Thanks I found it
But how should someone find this without help?
Thats was made very complicated from the devs

I have the Samsung Galaxy S2 X and I'm on 4.0.3 and certain apps like Poynt/Palmary Weather and some others cause my wifi to just drop and go to 4G, this never happened when I had my Incredible S?
My palmary works fine. Doesn't mess up the connection
I think i figured it out, when i did some internet searches it says that apartments that are heavy concrete or lots of metal plus phones plugged in too close to wireless modems can cause it so hopefully that's my issue?

Is there a way to force LTE as the only network my phone connects to? I have the network app that worked in my EVO 4G LTE but it doesn't seem to work on my GS3
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
go to settings>more settings>mobile networks>click on network mode and select Lte/cdma

Rooted Evo dead.
Rooted Evo shift dead.
Rooted Galaxy s3 alive and well!
I know that setting but is it a way to put the GS3 into LTE only mode and not just LTE/CDMA

My wife is with Verizon and theirs works the same way. She's always like, why won't it just stay in 4g? Different beast than WiMax (not that that wouldn't drop out like a trap door sometimes.)

Yes, you can do this in the hidden Data Programming menu launched from the stock TouchWiz dialer. You will need to know your MSL code:
In the Dialer enter ##DATA#
On the Data Programming screen select Edit
Enter your MSL
Tap OK
Select Others
Select HDR/1X Selection
Select "LTE Only Mode"
Tap OK
There is a major downside to this: You will no longer have voice or text service, only LTE data service (where available).

For problem 1 & 2: go into Settings / Global roaming -> Roaming clock settings -> Disable "Use roaming dual-clock"
Now you can change clock style (maybe a restart is needed)
For problem #3, I mine working ok
For #3, do you have a message when trying to put the brightness to max? Might be because the device is heating and won't let it rise.
for 3,i can tell you,if you don't put the brightness to min,the brightness auto adjust will work.and you can use 3845#*180*# to test it.
can't set

LG works in kinda different way:
The brightness level can grow up, but cant go below the minimal level you set.
I set it to 0 and checked auto adjust, it seems to stay at 0 even under sunlight

i have the same problem. i want to remove seoul clock. please help! ROAMING CLOCK IN SETTINGS APP IS GRAYED OUT AND CANNOT ACCESS.
I found the easiest fix guys.. just like the others i have an lgog f180k Korean ics.. dual clock settings is by default enabled.. to disable this u must be within a roaming area ask ur network carrier.. the phone automatically detects that roaming is available and it wil prompt u if u want to roam. Thats why global rroaming is grayed out because ur not in a roaming area. Here's my lockscreen now... luckily here in my place roaming is available.
Is there any way to turn off Lte on stock att S3? I'm in a bad area where it switches from Lte and faux G constantly. Draining battery fast! Thanks.

Edit: it's been too long since I've been on a stock ROM.
That doesn't help on AT&T based ROMs. That option would be removed

Your situation is exactly why AT&T is effing idiotic for removing the ability to disable LTE.

I'm on custom ROM and below procedure worked on mine (though I'm on LTE 100% of time).
I copied from some thread some time back
-----------
From the phone dialer enter: *#197328640#
Umts -> Debug Screen -> Phone Control -> Network Lock -> RAT_FREE_SUPPORITNG ON <- once you choose this option it will say "Now RAT Free Supporting" - this will allow you to change bands freely (no need to pull the SIM card) until your next reboot.
You can save *#197328640# in your contacts. I wasn't able to call the contact directly but from the dialer you can dial *#1 and it will pop up as a suggestion - you press that and it launches automatically. You can then go to Umts -> Debug Screen -> Phone Control -> Network Control <- this leads you to the screen you'd find in my original method with *#2263#
From here you can freely swap to whichever band you prefer and it will connect without a reboot required!
Note: After disabling RAT restrictions you can hit the menu button and choose back, twice. You'll then be at the menu list that includes "Network Control" aka *#2263# which is a little faster.

No. I tried on several myself just to verify (CM, AOKP, and a couple of others). It does work on AT&T stock ROM for certain though. It is the only thing that really keeps me from moving away completely from stock ROMS and/or other TW variants.

I was reading on another post which talked about the Note 2 and when I come to that menu.. I got this "RAT FREE SUPPORTING on" as option 4 while the other post said it should say.. "[4] NW LOCK NV Data INNITIALLIZ"....
What have I done wrong??
Mine is a AT&T i317 Note 2, but shouldn't this menu be identical for all variance?
Hope you can advise.
Thanks.
Im with Bell and I dont have the "RAT_FREE_SUPPORITNG ON" option. Any alternative ?
Thanks.
Guys:
New poster on the forums but long-time lurker...
Anyway, I'm not sure if any of you guys noticed but when you pull down the quick settings menu on the SGH-M919 it only lists 18 buttons instead of the 20 normally found on the GT-i9505. The two buttons missing are "Mobile data" and "Wi-Fi hotspot". I can understand why Wi-Fi hotspot is not included because T-Mobile included their own version of the app in the carrier bloatware. However, it doesn't make sense for them to delete the "Mobile data" toggle.
Any way that we can recover that functionality and add that toggle back into the quick settings menu?
Thanks.
Exactly! Where's "Mobile Data" ?
Thanks

Go to : Settings>more networks>mobile networks
There you can turn data off and on.
Unfortunately there there is no data toggle for it.
May be we will get with some roms .

I don't have my S4 yet so I can't tell you for certain, but CyanogenMod should have this as well.
I figured out how to add it to stock rooted. Heres my thread.
