[Q] Cannot root p6 all 4 methods

I had my phone rooted on B111 B118 B119 with no problem using eroot but i updated to B122 and root was lost. I tried all 4 methods but it wont work, it shows a screen saying payload for the IMPACTOR , but no result no root.
eroot doesnt work and all other methods even i uninstall and reinstall the superuser app. One of the root method error says your device is really tough to root.
please help me. Thank you in advace. I will appreciate your help.

eroot works with B122, just make sure that you enable USB debugging AFTER you connect the phone to your PC (as mtp), because it will be turned off automatically when you disconnect the cable

For me eroot didn't work too. And USB debugging didn't turn off after disconnecting from PC. So there seems to be different behaviour on different P6 phones. I returned to B117, rooted my phone and installed MIUI afterwards.

I use Eroot tool with all version without problems. Follow this steps: Connect phone to PC > switch phone to MTP mode > start Eroot tool > after that goto Developer option and turn on USB Debugging > wait tool to connect with phone > click ROOT button.

It's rooted. Download Root Checker and see. After that install Superuser or SuperSU and BusyBox.

No need to install superuser since it will be installed automaticaly when you root the phone with eroot

[Q] KitKat for Ascend P6 in the UK

Hey,
I'm a newbie to these forums and Android, have used iOS for the last 3 years and just need some help with my
new phone. So i'm in the UK and am on the b116 firmware, Jellybean (4.2.2) and I called Huawei a couple of days ago
and they say that it (the 4.4.2 update) should come out within the next couple of weeks. Thing is this is the same thing
they said in July. That's where I need your help guys. Can someone please give me the steps to how I could
update to KitKat.
P.S. I'm also new to this topic on ROMs, TWRP, flashing, etc.

I was in the same boat about a month ago. There are a lot of firmwares out there. Can be very confusing. Here is what I did. I updated to b132 jb then to b512 kk. Used update app method both times through system update from SD card. I downloaded the roms from Huawei news website. Read up as much as you can. Hope it helps.

OK so i go on the huawei news site download the b132 then the next and this is with the update.app method right? And is worked? K I'll give it a try but thanks anyway so helpful!

Took me a while to find where to go after b116. Not many seemed to have that firmware version.

So what should i read up on. Just the method?

The metod for updating is pretty easy as long as you dont have any data to backup or restore. Download the update file that should be named UPDATE.APP and put it in a folder named DLOAD in your sdcard. From there go to system update and select local update. It should restart the phone and do all the update on its own. After the update it will boot into system and you are ready to go. But since its recommended to go to B132 first and then to kitkat you gonna need to do this twice for both updates.

Do what the above says. There is a word document with official downloads that tells you what to do. Better to have more knowledge than just jumping in and getting it wrong. There is a thread on here somewhere that lists all official downloads. I'm sure there are links as well. Good luck.

So sorry to bother but where is this word doc. Have i missed it somehow?
And it may seem a bit forward but is there a lollipop update for the P6

No lollipop as yet. Can't see Huawei releasing it as this phone too old now. I'm sure someone will develop it for our phone after official cm12 is released. When you download official rom unzip the file and there should be two files one is the update app. And there should be a word doc as well. The word doc tells you how to update. I'll try to find a link for downloads I used. Might be later today though.

Yes the EMUI updates along with the system. First download and update the B132 and then the B512.

When you update to kk 512 emui 2.3 will be installed as part of update. No need to update separately.

Hey guys, I tried it out, downloading the file and then putting the UPDATE.app on my SD card's dload folder,
did the local upgrade but then on the screen it came up with, "Copying from external source(i think) failed", tried it again, "cust ... succeeded" - not sure if useful but yh why did it fail, what am I doing wrong? I've attached the contents of my SD card below but is that what is causing the problems?
When i tried to do it, it said on the first line, "This phone is LOCK state" then goes onto say "Huawei SD card fail" if it helps.

Do i need to unlock bootloader?

Was this directly to kitkat or you went with B132 first?

[Q] P6-U06, from B106 to B708 kitkat?

Hi!
My buddy got the P6 with B106 firmware on it. Buggy as hell, and he wants kitkat. What is the procedure to update to latest firmware?
I had u9200/ p1 at a time. The trick here was to edit build number in build.prop, to make the recovery believe it was a supported firmware. Does this work on P6 too?
If not, which firmwares do i need to download in order to finally get to B708?

Are you sure? Others say I can't. And EmUI flash guide says "only upgradable from V100R001C17B508SP02, V100R001C17B706, V100R001C17B707"

flash b118 -> b508sp2 -> b708

Hey dudes!
On B708 now, but can't seem to install fastboot drivers. I've tried with drivers from google SKD. Also tried "15 seconds adb installer", ++.
Windows says that the drivers i try is "not designed for windows x64", and won't install them. They work for my Sony-phone, my Huawei ascend p1 and others. ADB drivers for P6 on B708 installed perfectly, but fastboot won't freakin' work. Which leads to no TWRP, and therefore no root etc..
Any ideas what to do here? W8.1, x64. Latest google drivers, latest "15 seconds adb installer".

"the folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. if the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64-based systems."

Install the HiSuite from Huawei and update it if needed.

I pressed the volume up & down & power
it went to Android system recovery
I tried all the options there and getting FAIL on all

Which version did you used before getting stucked in logo? And when you try to install that b111 where you get fail message?

Well that if it fails on VERLIST and factory reset didn't help try flashing b132 or b512 with 3 buttons method.

I am wondering how I can update my P6 Ascend to Kitkat that I have seen is available. I have tried to do the update through the update on the phone but I cannot get the app to detect the files B125, B132, B510. I h8ave extracted and followed the instructions perfectly but nothing detects still
Is there another way to get the updates to work as the local Huawei does not have the 4.4.2 update ready and wont seem to for a while.

Which version are you using now? And have you tried to put update.app in dload folder in internal memory?
Other way is updating custom Rom with custom recovery.

I am currently on B119 and trying to get to B501. I will have another try with what you have suggested. I don't want to go to a custom rom just yet as I have only had the phone 4 days.
