Why does it take 45min to back up or restore on my s3 and on my other phones it might take like 5min
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
It depends on how much data has to be backed up and to where. I skip md5 checksum and enable compression. My backups takes about 15mins or so when doing stock ROM and about 5-10 minutes when doing CM10.

You have to do a full wipe (Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache).

Thanks for the tip. I'll do that.

He's probably on cwm6 using the dark side scripts. Just wipe the good ol fashion way And you should be good.

First boot can take awhile, be sure to be patient if you have wiped properly.

it lags after I flashed the newest version of CM10 on my GS3 everything works perfect except when it sleeps and I try to wake it up with the home button really bad. I downloaded the link to fix it from XDA and everytime I go into recovery and flash it phone won't load I have to restore my back up. Can anyone help me?

I was having the same problem. I read some where that if you change the minimum CPU frequency from 384 to 486 it takes care of it. So far it's worked for me.
I'll try that thanks!

It didn't fix it...any other ideas?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Hmmm
Did you uninstall the fix that you had downloaded from XDA? I didn't have to flash what ever you talked about and it worked.
The fix isn't installed every time I tried to install it phone wouldn't load so I restored my back up

Gotcha, I haven't looked into other potential fixes. Sorry man!
Hit my phone an hour ago. I'm rooted and unlocked, don't want to risk bricking my phone. Is this JB?

Also, apparently it has installed and will complete upon phone restart. Lol...hopefully I don't have to jump through hoops.

No it's not JB.

K, is it safe to update or will this brick my phone? I'm holding off restarting and I'd like to know if I need to freeze some stuff.

I recently rooted and froze some apps and deleted knox apps and ever since then when I try to take screenshots with the s pen it freezes instead of bringing up the editing tools

I'm about to flash an update to my rom and I'm tired of having to spend 30 minutes setting my phone up after doing a full wipe/flash.
Any recommended methods or apps to avoid this or make the process smoother?
Thanks
