I'm going to pick up the One on Friday. My question is, I know there is an option to pick up in store, but does anyone know if I order online, is there also an option to "bill to my account"? I've done this in the past in the store but I'd like to use the VERIZON30 promo code online.
Yes, you may bill to your account using that coupon code. Just did that yesterday. This assumes you are in good standing with Verizon.

You WILL for sure be able to bill to the account as stated above, however I went to use the "Store Pickup" option and that was nowhere to be found. I called CS and they told me that is a feature that is being phased out depending on your area. So good luck :/

Damnit. I went through the entire process almost and it wouldn't let me both bill to my account and pick up in store. The rep said I could only pick up in store if I paid for it at the time of my web checkout. Anyone else able to do both?

Just have it mailed. Either that or find 200 bucks. From what I understand by years end it will be gone company wide from stores.

So far the best built and fastest phone I've used. And it's all stock.
Use my rule... If you aren't going to be happy running stock and possibly never be rooted or unlocked move on. I know it will happen, but with my rule you'll be happy no matter what.

I saw a thread or two someone buying S3 from someone the imei being blocked by t-mobile or just turn out to be stolen phone or something.
If I do buy the phone from someone can what are something I should check to avoid being scam?
Do the exchange at a T-Mobile store, and have the phone ownership be changed to you on the spot.
Failing that. Get the receipt.

Doing it at a T-Mobile store won't stop the phone from being reported stolen. All the person has to do is call customer support after they leave the store and claim stolen.

The receipt doesn't matter either. If you buy it from someone and they don't pay their bill or report it stolen it doesn't matter if you have the receipt or not or did it at the store or not.
If the person you bought it from can't pay their bill for the phone or service why would T-Mobile let someone else use the phone?

Unless you know the person, yes. Ebay wouldn't be a bad idea because of buyer protection but I wouldn't buy one off of CL unless you can prove the phone has been paid for, but even then the person can just call in and report it stolen.

If they don't really own the phone. Good way to find out.

I always found a few on craigslist around $500. I thought save $100, can spend it on better protective case, screen protector and MicroSD.
I guess may be it is too risky.
I'm continuing this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951870 here because it relates to the Sprint version.
Ok so here's what I was able to find out. The first store i called said that the phone was in the computer but not in stock could possibly come in tonights or Wednesdays shipment. The second store said that Sprint isn't going to release the phone till the 11th to which I replied they released it Thursday and she was like oh well that's weired. So I called the Reward Zone Premier Silver customer service and they weren't able to tell me exactly what I needed to know so I was transferred to .com support. This is what they said. The phone is available to order NOT PREORDER. Where it says "coming soon" that means it's coming soon in stores. When you add the phone to your cart you add all of your plan info and then pay for it. They said it ships in 5-7 days.
If this helps you please hit thanks!

mine said backordered too. i really wanted to keep it - 18mo no interest, $10 in bb rewards, and $88 credit on my account. but i cancelled it. i don't want to have to fight for the $150 price match on the retail price and picked one up a sprint today. they just got a new shipment in when i got there.
What about the 50 gift card towards purchase? Would I lose that if I ordered online? I have a white one that I bought at sprint, but hubby is waiting for his to use the gift card.

Called two Best Buy's this morning in the North Dallas area. Still not in the inventory system (don't know if their inventory system is national) - so none in stock at the store. They are taking pre-orders though.
Couldn't hazard a guess on which channel is actually faster.
i've called 15+ stores twice a day since the phone launched. the responses have been mixed, but over time the general consensus is now shifting to "it won't be available in store until Nov 11." i've pre-ordered it at a store, but in the meantime, i also bought one on their website. original delivery was 10/31-11/1, but just got updated to 11/8-11/19. if they start showing up in store before i get mine, i might just grab one there and cancel my online order. but i figure i've already missed launch day and have been waiting anyways, so what's a couple more days?
Called around to several stores today and wasn't able to find any phones or anyone who could tell me when it's going to released.

Talked to a Best Buy Mobile sales associate from a local store again today - this rep (taking it with a huge grain of salt) said that the carrier (Sprint) corporate stores would have a two week exclusive from launch. If true, that puts the date in line with the AT&T launch date: November 9th.
If I didn't have all those Best Buy gift cards from my Photon trade-in - I would've gone to the corporate store by now.

Ok so i ordered the S3 on the 16th when they had that deal. When i got the email that it had shipped I saw that they had shipped it to another address that was not mine so I immediately called and they said they were going to fix it. So i have been checking the status and today it changed to delivered. I called right away again and they said they were going to file something and it would take 3 days. Well obviously whoever they delivered it to is not going to say oh yeah here take it back. They said they would be able to locate it as soon as whoever had it tried to use it and they would locate it and get it to me. I have been charged 370 for it on my bill and have not got the phone. Can they really locate it as soon as they turn it on and get it back to me or what do you guys think?

Sure they can, but it's an odd resolution. They really need to put a NEW phone in the pipeline for you...that's what you paid for. Lastly, how did the address get screwed up? Old Address? They usually verify shipping address before shipping it out...

Yep..they verify the shipper dropped, and either accept it lost or try a claim, but regardless they owe you a new phone. They WILL blacklist any unrecoverable phone. Keep calling/escalating until you get a new delivery date.

I wouldnt say that the old neighbor picked it up because by law they can't give your package to the neighbor especially when it needs a signature (I made up the by law part but I wouldn't be the only one to say that I wouldn't be exactly pleased if my package was given to a neighbor) . I'd just tell them the truth. No harm will be done since they'll be able to verify that you have the phone anyway.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
I agree, just tell the truth, it's not like it matters to them.
Although I've had PLENTY of packages given to my neighbours, it's ridiculous. I send important packages to my friends in the city now, because at least they seem to realise that looking at house numbers is important there instead of trusting Nice Country People or whatever.

if u go to a cor store...a real att store not a dealer location they'll sell it to u no problem without service. dealer locations like ms wireless and parott only sell with upgrades and new lines cuz they r typically pure commission. cor reps still get hourly pay so if u wanna just walk in, bye, walk out, it should be quick and easy

I wish that were the case. I was able to buy the first one with a bit of persuading. But I returned it only to have the price drop 110 dollars so I bought the 2nd one. 3 different stores said it was against policy to sell without service plans. I called Customer service and they said the same thing. Who knows. But Just FYI they may be getting ready to stop selling the phone altogether . I had to purchase a 3rd due #2 dropping and shattered the screen. It rang up for 400 dollars.

Why are you bothered about this "mate" htc phone? I would rather have an LG pro 2 with USA spec LTE of available, failing that I would await a the M8 Max :cyclops:
Well, I read rumors that T-Mobile was supposed to begin selling the M8 tonight after midnight. Searched the site for "HTC One" and it came up with this page:
View attachment 2650498
I clicked the link that is shown on the right side to buy my M8. It took me to this URL: https://explore.t-mobile.com/htc-one-m8
The link doesn't seem to be working right now as it only takes me to a blank page. But this is encouraging!
EDIT:
Called customer service and found out (after four or five transfers, lol) that the site probably won't be live until 12:00am Pacific Time (3:00am EST). So I'll try again in the morning.
Also, I couldn't believe the lack of knowledge of T-Mobile employees about this phone. I called a store today to see about in-store purchase date and the rep didn't even know the phone was coming out. Ditto with the last rep I talked to. She was just able to tell me that usually during system updates and for record keeping, they operate on Pacific Time. So hopefully I won't have any troubles ordering in the morning.

I meant with the one-time down-payment, or does T-mobile not have an equivalent of that anymore? It's been a long time since I was with T-mobile.

The price appears to be $636 for T-Mobile customers.* As always that can change, along with the release date, at any time.
As a customer on an Un-Carrier-era plan with good credit no down-payment is required and the phone cost can be spread across 24 payments with no financing fees. For those with less credit a down-payment is required and the remaining balance is spread out over the same 24 months, again without financing costs. Or just pay for it outright. In all of those cases the cost comes out to be the same, $636 plus any local taxes.
Purchasers paying in installments can also enroll in the Jump program. Simply put, in it's latest version, it's extended warranty, insurance, Lookout Premium subscription, and a trade-in guarantee after the phone has been half paid for. $10 month to be in it. Thus in a year we Jump folks can trade in our HTC One m8, after having spent as little as $342 (over the cost of just insurance) to start on the HTC One m9 with integrated hover board functionality!
I expect we'll hear more about the new HTC One on T-Mobile after the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 launch on the 11th. That has garnered lots of attention and is backed by Samsung's huge advertising campaigns making it the launch of the season.
*T-Mobile makes it's money as phone service provider, not as a phone seller. Thus it's phone prices are often higher for non-customers.
Well, it looks like the link I posted earlier is up and running, but it isn't an order page. It's just a page to request notification of when it will be available for sale.

It is the 32 GB model. (I have it)
Yeah I was surprised to see T-Mobile was the only carrier to release it next month rather then with the others.
