Have been searching for it from many days but am unable to find it!
What I need is going back to Stock ROM from CyanogenMod.
I don't have an arc. It is for my friend. Actually he asked me to root his mobile. But I installed CM in it because I liked CM in my 'Samsung Galaxy ACE'. He accepts that CM is fast but he is asking me to install stock firmware in it. He is saying that he is missing some features like timescape.
Switching ROMS in ARC (even in my ACE) is very simple. But I would like to know how to install Stock ROM over Custom ROMs in ARC. Can I simply use flashtool for it? Or will I end up bricking the mobile?
If at all if I end up bricking his mobile then he may ask my 'Sony Xperia S' that I ordered just few days ago!!! (LOL!)
Damn! Things were very simple in Samsung Phones! But in sony, understanding the terms itself is taking a hell lot of time for me!
Wrong section..should be in Q&A...
You need to download flashtool and flash a generic firmware. JUST SEARCH! THIS QUESTIONS BEEN ASKED A MILLION TIMES BEFORE so you could easily have found the answer before starting this new thread.

Hi guys,
Some help needed. I'm not sure why but my phone won't recharge after i mod it. everything is fine and dandy when I'm on stock ROM. Using Build .62 android 2.3.4.
I have narrowed it down to a couple of problems..
1) after rooting ( doomlords zergling rush)
2)after using doomkernel v01/02
Has anyone else come across this type of problem? I think it's a bit strange or it could be that the build has issues..
I can and have flashed back to stock rom and it's charging again. so thats not an issue. I would just like to know if there any way around having to flash back to stock every damn time i wanna charge the phone.
Sorry posted in the wrong section. Mods can you please move this to the Q & A. So so sorry.

what rom are u using??
doomkernel v1/2?? is it for ICS??
use this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502 for your gingerbread
Why are you using DooMKernel v1 or v2? Use v13 3013. Just a hunch, but a kernel that was outdated almost right after it appeared could be the problem.

Hi,
I`m planing to downgrade to an official Sony Stock ICS ROM (& and strip the bloatware) to get all the features working (HDMI). I was planing to pair the stock sony ICS with a kernel like Lupus. Before doing this however I wanted to ask if anyone has a recomendation on which Stock ICS version to get because I remember reading that one of those was a major flaw.
Additionally I'd like to know if anyone has/did run stock ICS+custom kernel and could share his experience with speed/smoothness and such, because I remember running the LT18i_4.1.B.0.587 firmware before rooting my device some years ago and the whole system was so laggy ... which lead me to try custom ROMs first and evetually unlock the bootloeader and go for custom Kernels later.
Any other recomendations are welcome.

I believe the newest is the best you can get, which is 4.1.B.0.587. You can also try 4.1.B.1.13, but it is a branded firmware and may have some additional bloatware installed in it.
Thanks. I remember 4.1.B.0.587 was really laggy when running on stock "everything". I'll try it and see if I can get it running smoothly with a custom kernel...

Even with a custom kernel, stock 4.1.B.0.587 will still lag a lot because of all the bloatware Sony added inside.

You guys are really making me think twice about this.

That's just life. Sony gave us really crappy ICS firmware.
Hello everybody, I am Brazilian and translate into English.
***** Well the thing is, I'm with my Arc S Rooted and Unlocked Bootloader with and am currently using the ROM Jelly Bean CM10.1, but he's a little stiff even though almost no app.
My question is this, first of all, concerned Kernel, many kernel I install the OS boots up, but something has always bugged, like the WIFI does not work or when you press the middle button does not work and other Kernel I install it gets into an infinite loop.
******** You who have Arc S with Jelly Bean CM10.1, which kernel would indicate to me? ah something else that needs to be done, Baseband .. whatever. I see my same cell, with high score. But I feel that in my Arc S is missing something.
PS: if I'm correct me in the wrong topic
