Sense 5 Browser home button missing? - HTC One X

there used to be a "home" button at the top of the main menu... now cant find it!? any ideas how i quickly get back to my designated web homepage...?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Close all tabs or open a new one.

obviously...
but that's not the point! all web browsers have a "home" button so you can quickly go back to the homepage without having to waste time and inconvenience of opening a new tab or closing and reopening the browser...
does anyone have any idea why it's been taken away?

Chrome beta am I missing something

Hear lots of.people.raving about it but.is.it just me or are the settings options limited and is it all that, examples are when you go into bookmarks and select the chrome tab no option to creat folders in there, when pinch to zoom the text doesn't resize to fit the screen .I'm use to dolphin which seems for more user friendly .Any tips on getting the best out of chrome as I think I need to get on board with it then I can link it with my pc and tablet

I also couldn't find the option to switch between desktop and mobile mode.
When you press the menu menu on the chrome top bar you have an option to "Request desktop site".

is there a quicker way to access bookmarks on dolphin i swipe from the side and all my bookmarks are there one click and your on the page,in chrome you have to select menu button/select bookmarks/select folder/select link very long winded way to get to bookmarks

I think the rave about chrome is less about its options and more about its pure speed. I personally thing the stock android 4.0 browser has more options. Although this latest update of chrome made it kinda sluggish IMO
Lack of a true exit button is why I'll continue to use Dolphin as my browser of choice
Gestures in dolphin is fantastic, hopefully chrome will have similar support.

Btw guys, dolphin user, where the hell is the tab switcher now in version 8.0? Been trying to look for it, no dice. It was there all along on the previous versions, when swipe left, in line with the add-ons(at the bottom part).
My favourite thing about it is that you can have chrome tabs open on your desktop and bam - click the button and they will appear on your phone. It is pretty smart.
Lack of Flash can be slightly irritating

Flashify is the app.
In the latest Chrome update you can play embedded YouTube videos by clicking on them and it opens them with the Youtube app.

Falcon pro back again

Falcon pro is a Twitter app which is very popular on android.
Today Verges posted an update regarding Falcon Pro and its future. In short, the app is now free and available as a direct download from http://getfalcon.pro. You'll need to side load the app if you decide to download it from the site. You can enable side loading of apps by launching your Settings app and going to Security, then checking the box next to "Unknown sources."
Simply making the app free and releasing it for all to download outside of the Play store doesn't solve the token issue, though. In order to get around the limit, you'll need to find a hidden custom log-in screen.
Start by tapping the falcon on the main page, then tap and shake your way to the custom log-in notification. If you're not patient enough to try and figure it out, or you just want to use the app without jumping through hoops, you can find instructions here.
The workaround is brilliant. By allowing users to create their own Twitter application keys and in the process their own tokens, anyone can log in to Falcon Pro and use the app to its full potential. Visit this page on Twitter's developer portal and create your own application. The app name you use will show on every tweet you send through the app, so make sure you pick something that shows off your personality. Before we go on to the next step, e-mail yourself the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
If you want clear instructions feel free to ask

It works fine.
Make sure you have a callback and that twitter is allowed to login through your client. I read an article on androidpolice.

Falcon Pro is not working at my college connection (hotspot), though it works on my home wi-fi connection. More of a network problem. Anyway to resolve it?
For those who are experiencing 'crash when open' uninstall 'lucky patcher'.

I was in the process of writing something like this myself, but i read somewhere that GO Sms is gonna add a feature like this. So i stopped, this was a few months back, wish i didn't stop cause i'd have it done by now xD
Ninja sms is as close as I've found.

I've been using Handcent for forever and really like it. It has the pop-up messaging (similar to the iphone) which I think it what you're looking for. Actually, its a feature I turn off every time i reflash my phone
Hope this helps.
Thanks but that's not what I need. I've had handcent and I don't enjoy it. Before I got ninja I was using 88sms which is a mix between android 4.3 and cyanogen 10.2 stock messaging and it was far better than handcent imo. But ninja was exactly what I was looking got

Cool. I'll try them both out. Once I find a solution that works, I stop being informed and new/better apps become popular without me realizing.

Wow its perfect thanks so much!
Give Sliding messaging a shot. The paid version has a halo like ring where you can auto reply. Not to mention it has Google voice compatibility.
