Mi-Roid is my port of the crespo MIUIAndroid weekly build with many additions, tweaks and mods added together for a great user experience. If there’s something you'd like added in feel free to post or pm me
For those of you wondering what Miui is.... that is a hard thing to describe but in a genreality it is a complete rebuild of android based on AOSP from the ground up. It has a build in theme manager that makes Cyanogen's look like childs play, you can change almost any little thing instead of applying an entire theme or you can apply an entire theme. It has build in virus scanning, autostart app control, flashlight app and all the goodies of cyanogen or other AOSP roms but in a whole new fashion. It is sort of IPhoneish but still feels like android not some apple product. If you dislike the launcher feel free to download any of your standard favourite launchers and use them, it'll free up some memory too.

A few of my favorite features are listed below:
**While on the lockscreen if you press and hold home the flashlight will turn on for 30sec
**While on the homescren if you long press home the memory manager comes up to clear/free up memory
I plan on updating by Sunday night or Monday morning following the friday release of each weeks build. This will give me a few days to make sure the basics are working and to try and add features as i work a lot during the week and weekend gotta survive this cruel world somehow

Common Issues, Solutions and FAQ in 3rd Post

I advise doing a complete wipe for each build and not "dirty" flashing each weeks new build as this could cause issues.
If you are already running Miui you can also use the included backup tool to backup your apps and data, beware that this app does not backup paid for apps, so for example it will backup Titanium Backup but not the Pro Key so you'll have to download some apps via the market again
**Install Instructions***
1) Use Titanium Backup to backup your apps and data
2) Download the latest Mi-Roid version and place at the "Root" of your SD Card
3) Boot into Clockwork or whatever recovery you use and make a backup
4) Do a complete wipe, this would be your dalvik cache, cache, data, system, & boot.
5) Select the Install zip from SD option
6) Select the latest Mi-Roid version you just downloaded
6a) ***Optional*** Install Kernel Of Choice
7) Once install is completed reboot the system and let it boot up
8) After the system has booted up you can reboot into Clockwork and restore your data
***** BEWARE THERE IS A 30 SECOND TO 1 MINUTE LONG BLACK SCREEN BEFORE THE MIUI.US BOOT IMAGE COMES ON. THIS IS NORMAL, JUST WAIT A MINUTE AND YOU'RE BOOT UP WILL START****
***Things to do Upon 1st boot***
-Open MiuiStats from the pulldown and save the preferance to enable reporting, this lets Miui know we're using their ROM and to keep making it for us
-Open the Download Manager and go into the Settings and set the warning limit to 50mb and then turn off the Data download prompt to stop the market not letting you download huge apps. it will only give you a warning to use wifi on files over 50MB, but if uncheck the download on wifi only button and click proceed it'll download even those.
-Open the Play Store and sign into your Google Account
-While everything is Syncing open up Settings and select your google account. Select the option "Location &Settings" and turn it on. This will allow Google Maps and all other Google Services to use GPS for location locks, if you don't do this then GPS will work for all other apps but Google ones
-Open the Permission Manager, this is Superuser for Miui, and click on Manager root apps and turn it on or else your apps won't get superuser permissions. there is a series of 4 or 5 questions it asks before you click accept to root access on apps, so beware.
-Download the following apps
- Voodoo Sound
- Script Manager - this is for supercharging
-Open the Camera as the 1st start up takes a few seconds to a minute to initialize and sometimes it will fc and you'll need to open it again and wait
-Reboot into Clockwork, fix permissions, and Enjoy MI-Roid
****Optional**** Open Script Manager and supercharge your phone - see the FAQ for some important info on supercharging do's and don'ts
-Reboot and Enjoy MI-Roid
I'll post more as i think about it and get to the FAQS section below later tonight and i have screen shots too, just very tired from porting the toolbox and work this weekend

Q) What Kernel Is Included with this Rom?
A) Matrix CFS v24
Q) Do I need to flash gapps over this?
A) Nope, the google account framework is included as well as the latest PlayStore.apk, just download whatever apps you want from the Play Store. However here is a link the latest GAPPS working on Miui
Q) When I Send A Text Over 160 characters the reciepient gets a garbled message
A) This won't happen anymore because i modified the app to convert a sms to an MMS as soon as you hit the 160 character limit
Q) How Do I Supercharge My Phone
A) Go here to and download the latest version from zeppelinrox's thread, be sure to thank him too. Once you have downloaded the latest v6 script place it at the "Root" of your SD card. Open up script manager, be sure to give it root access. Select the v6 supercharger scipt and mark the little su icon to run it as su. Click on run, and follow the on screen instructions.
*****This is very important, when setting up your drivers options, do not, i repeat DO NOT select to apply the "Miscellaneous Tweaks & 3G Enhancements", a better version of these are in my init.d scripts!!!!! You also don't need to apply the wheel alignment either as that is another script already provided****
Q) I see lots of apps running when i first start my phone and don't want some of them running
A) Go into the Security Center folder and open the App Manager app, you can use it to select what apps and their services start and run in the background at boot
Q) The stock lockscreen is laggy
A) Yes it is, this is widely known in the Miui community, but it has a plethora of options built into it. If you want a faster one download any v4 theme and go into the theme manager under the mix section and apply it. The same goes for just about any thing or apperance you don't like about stock Miui, you can apply whole themes or just select parts

you don't need gapps, the google framework for google accounts and playstore are included, any other gapps can be downloaded from the market. do not flash gapps from CM or other AOSP roms as you'll get a few apps that shouldn't be there
if for some reason someone needs a certain gapp let me know, but this is the NS4G a CDMA phone only available in the US so we shouldn't have any restrictions on apps

No problem, the JB version of Miui is quite nice. if you are going to flash a custom kernel i had the least amount of issues with Mathkids Matrix v23, it has voodoo sound and blinking BLN built in. I just updated my FAQ post but i have had severe issues with several of the other kernels in terms of bluetooth and battery drain so beware

This looks AWESOME! I went back to stock jellybean, but I'm going to root and install this later! How does battery life seem so far? Yeah, yeah, I know, give it a couple of days for the kernel to settle, but still... xD

haven't used miui in awhile does it still show high usage when u kill apps going to try when i get home wat kernel is everybody using thanks

sick. thanks for the confirmation.. on rasbean now but may have to give this a go....i miss miui and the ics version was crap, but the gb version didnt have 4g.

It's a little "heavy" feeling but MIUI isn't exactly a lightweight ROM so I expected that.. I had tried the ICS version and it was unbearable slow.. So far this is pretty damn good all things considering (feature filled custom JB ROM on 2 year old phone)

Nice ROM at lease jellybean miui is fast & smooth when compared to miui ICS which was way to laggy but miui is not my cup of tea I'm rocking Rasbean

[APP]Jedi-X Kitchen[Aroma][1/18/13]

This is an Aroma installer that contains several options for kernels, modems, themes (one for now) and all of the apps removed in the base Jedi-X ROM, and a few other requested apps, all of which are available singularly in Addis' Jedi Goody Bag
*Please note: This is prepared specifically for Jedi-X and NOT Jedi-Master. Different bases are used and you may run into issues if you try to flash these on Jedi-Master. I have done a similar Aroma installer for Jedi-Master HERE.
The aim here is to provide a single flashable zip using the intuitive touchscreen features of Aroma to allow the user to select as many apps/features as they want, without having to flash them individually.
Standard Disclaimer:Though I have personally tested this and it is working on my device, I can not make any such warranties or guarantees for anyone else flashing this. As with anything else we flash, You do so entirely at your own risk. Standard stuff guys, always make sure you have a backup handy in case something goes wrong, so you can restore if need be.

How To Install:
Place the Jedi-X-Kitchen.......zip on your device (internal SD or external)
Boot into recovery (CWM or TWRP) Personally tested on TWRP, should work with CWM.
Make sure you have a Backup!
Flash the ZIP- Aroma Installer will run and you simply navigate through the various screens selecting your options to flash. Please note, that if you selecting to install a theme, this can take a couple minutes to install, just wait for it, and make sure you have a BACKUP before you flash as there isn't an option to UNDO or remove the theme.

That one is already wrapped up in a nice aroma installer with tons of options and would add a couple hundred megs to the file size...unless I maybe rip out some of the options and simplified it....might be doable.

Nope...I don't know if ptmr3 has any plans for doing AOSP port. Seems like he has his hands full with what he does now, but you never know.

Most of the apps/kernels and modems should work fine I would think, but not the theme. I can all but gaurantee that wont work, I believe it's been tweaked just for the Jedi series of ROMs

[Unofficial] Lean GApps for PA

Notice: By flashing these GApps, you hereby revoke your right to complain in the Paranoid Android thread about bugs!
What I mean by this is: Don't go bothering Moles or any of the PA team about some sort of app/rom functionality being broken because you flashed this GApps package which deleted an app that you needed or caused ROM to crash.
This package goes against PA philosophy of remaining Stock google. Read This WHOLE POST FIRST!!
Warning: This package deletes apps that might be important to certain users! For example: maps, exchange services, live wall papers, etc. Read the list below for more details.

Section 1.
Ok, so the purpose of this post is to share a GApps that I put together for myself. Please READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE even considering flashing this.
What this GApps package does:
1. It flashes the bare minimum (what I consider bare minimum) of system apps to keep the ROM functioning as I like it.
2. The update script is modified to delete other apps that are included in the PA ROM package that I do not use. (notice I said "I", as in myself)
Do not Flash if you meet any of these descriptions:
1. You do not want a lean rom
2. You don't agree with leaning out roms
3. This offends you somehow
4. You are unsure about what you are doing
5. If you have never opened a zip package and looked at its contents or read an updater_script
Section 2.
These are the list of apps are NOT INCLUDED in this package that you would normally get from PA FULL GApps at goo.im:
Books.apk <--- google books
Currents.apk
GenieWidget.apk <--- Google weather widget
GoogleEars.apk <---- identifies songs by listening to them. I use soundhound, so I don't use google ears.
GoogleEarth.apk
Magazines.apk <---- Google magazines
PlusOne.apk <--- Google+ social network
Thinkfree.apk <-- stock office app
Videos.apk ,<--- google movies
ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter.apk
Maps.apk <--- you can download from market or just restore with titanium. OR insert it into the lean gapps package yourself

Like I said above, this GApps package goes a step further and deletes certain apps from the /system/app/.
Here is a section of the script that deletes apps so you can and MUST REVIEW BEFORE flashing:

delete("/system/app/MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk","/system/app/OpenWnn.apk");

delete("/system/app/GenieWidget.apk","/system/app/GoogleEarth.apk","/system/app/GoogleEars.apk");
If there is an app missing that you must have, then you can fix it. Pull the app from the ROM package or FULL PA GApps package and insert it into the Lean GApps package in system/app/. (I shouldn't have to explain how to do this if you're planning on flashing this GApps, but whatever.) Or if the script deletes an app that you don't want deleted, then just erase that part from the script.
If you don't know how to do this, then Google it or find one of many helpful tutorials here on the wonderful XDA forums!

Please refrain from asking the same questions over and over. Read this whole post!
Read the entire updater_script! It's a good practice to get into for flashing any zip.
I am NOT taking requests. If you want something added or taken away, then do the work yourself please. It takes only 5 minutes. I will try to fix any bugs and update whenever I get the time.

FAQ:
1. Why have you removed Maps, wallpapers, (insert app here) ?
Because as I explained in the first post, I do not use those apps. I do however use Google maps, but I just restore it from my titanium backup when I need it and then uninstall. I hate how maps runs in the background. Just my preference. If you want maps, just download from the market or put the apk in the zip.
2. Can you please add/delete an app to the package?
No. I already posted in the first post that I would not. If the package doesn't suit you, then customize it yourself
3. Does this package break anything?
As far as I can tell from my own testing, it does not break anything that I use. Keep in mind, there is no Exchange service app, so if you need that for work or whatever, then restore from your titanium backup or add it to the zip.
4. Will this Gapps package work for another ROM besides Paranoid Android?
It should, I don't see why it wouldn't. Unless your ROM requires one of the apps in a typical full GApps package. If in doubt, do your own research. Don't blame me if it messes something up.

I never use the apps I delete. Freezing is just a bandaid fix to me. Of the apps I do use occasionally, like maps, I converted to a user app and have greenify hibernate it.

Requirements:
Read the FAQ in post #2 to check for solutions to known issues.
AOSP ROMs require Jellybean 4.2.x for full Gapps package.
Touchwiz ROMs require Jellybean 4.1/4.2 for the Aroma installer.
Note that while other versions may indeed work with modifications, only those with 4.2.x on AOSP and 4.1/4.2 on TouchWiz will receive support here.
Some of these zips only support AOSP-based ROMs, such as Cyanogenmod, AOKP, and so on.
Touchwiz ROMs should use the Touchwiz Aroma installer, not the main Aroma installer.
Sense is not currently supported.
You must have a rooted device.
CWM, TWRP, 4EXT, or other custom recovery installed.
Note that not all recoveries are supported, but the zips should be fairly universal.
A minimum of 225MB of free system space for the FullFlash, and 115MB for the QuickFlash.
Touchwiz Aroma requires 125MB of free system space.
NOTE that if you aren't sure of your free system space, you can simply open up Titanium Backup, and it will tell you at the bottom of the home screen.
DeOdexed ROMs ONLY are supported for AOSP ROMs.
Touchwiz Aroma supports Odexed and Deodexed ROMs.
Note that most all stock ROMs are odexed. If you aren’t sure about a custom ROM, ask your chef.
A full wipe is required before installing these zips. If you don't, then do not ask for support. Make a full backup before flashing in case something goes wrong.
Explanation:
Aroma zip is the mack daddy of all zips. It contains everything, but it is packaged into an interface that allows you to pick and choose which apps or gapps you want to install, all from your recovery.
Full Flash zip is a full and complete inverted Gapps package for your JB 4.2+ ROM. Just flash your ROM.zip and then this one. No need to flash any other Gapps packages at all.
Quick Flash zip is a simple zip that installs all the inverted apps by Team Blackout into their proper places. This should be flashed after your normal Gapps package for JB 4.2+. Stock apps other than Email are not included in this zip.​
Instructions:
Download the zip you want based on what you want installed.
Boot into recovery.
Make a backup before doing anything in case something goes wrong.
Full wipe your device.
Flash ROM.zip
Flash inverted.zip (gapps first if using quickflash on AOSP)
Reboot.
Do not restore data from non-inverted apps.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why didn't MMS/People app invert? Why does People app force close? Why did my dialer disappear?​Not all ROMs are compatible with the MMS and People apps. If you experience any of those issues, please DO NOT use the Full Flash zip. To fix it, just push the contacts.apk file from your ROM.zip to /system/app, then set permissions to -rw-r--r-- and reboot.​
2. Why does Google Keep have a white background for new notes?​If you have a white Quick Note background, just touch into the field, and type a letter. The color pallet will appear on the top right corner of the field. Simply touch it, and select black or whichever color you want to be default. The white will then be gone. Here's a screenshot, if you're confused.​
3. Does the inverted Play Store here support multi-DPI?​In the Aroma installer, you have the option to install the Inverted Multi-DPI Play Store separately from the regular inverted Play Store. The Multi-DPI one is deselected by default. If you happen to select both of them, the multi-DPI one will overwrite the regular one. The FullFlash and QuickFlash zips do not have the multi-DPI store at this time.​
4. Craigslist doesn't show my city.​I've been able to find my city by changing my country to Africa, then scrolling down the list. Team Blackout is working on a fix for this.​
5. Tango doesn't install properly on my Touchwiz ROM or gives me a message "ERROR 62" before it force closes.​Open up your file explorer, and navigate to /data/app. Tap on Tango.apk to install it directly. This should fix things for you.​
6. Google Plus has some non-inverted parts in the settings menu.​If you come across this, re-run Aroma, and select the option to fix Google Plus. That should take care of things for you.​
7. The Mighty Text app is all squished together, or looks strange.​This is an app designed for tablets only. If you don't have a tablet, please skip this one. It is de-selected in Aroma be default for this reason.​
8. Slacker is transparent instead of blacked out.​To make it inverted, there is a night mode checkbox in the settings menu. Check it and enjoy.​
9. Email doesn't show up in my app drawer.​If it doesn't show up, try renaming it to Email2.apk and reboot. If that still doesn't fix it, don't use it. It isn't compatible with every ROM.​
10. YouTube Downloader is not shown in my app drawer/YouTube icon is still red.​If you don't see OG YouTube Downloader in your app drawer, and the YouTube app icon is red instead of blue, it is not compatible and will not work. You don't need to do anything in this case. It works fine on most ROMs, and remains inactive on others. Delete it if you want, but it should not cause trouble if you leave it alone.​
11. Why isn't Google Calendar showing up in my app drawer?​The Google Calendar from the Play Store and is a signed application. Uninstall the Market version, and either delete or rename the system/app Calendar.apk to Calendar.apk.bak (or just delete it). Reboot and enjoy.​
12. I need immediate help! None of these things solved my problem!​You can usually find me on #midnightgapps on IRC. OK here it is. This version should worked correctly, but as I don't use Touchwiz, I can't be 100% certain.
This version has none of the stock Android apps included, such as calendar and contacts. Those do not work on Touchwiz, so please don't ask. All other Google and Extra apps are included.
Possible issues:
The Dropbox included in this package will probably disable the integration with the Samsung framework, so it will not likely allow syncing from your Samsung account. The app itself should work just fine, though.
I'm not sure if Google Music is going to work or not. Please let me know.
Google Maps may or may not work with Touchwiz as a system app. Please let me know.
I have no idea if Chrome and Google Now will work correctly or not.
This should work for the Stock 4.1.2 ROM odexed or deodexed, as well as 4.2 custom Touchwiz ROMs. Make a full backup before you flash this, so you can restore if something breaks.

Boot into recovery and make a full backup, then reboot.

Hey cajun thanks for the tw beta man I'm really liking this cause now I don't have to be installing these inverts individually. Lol
Now straight to work.
My current setup
a) Samsung Galaxy S3
b) Android 4.1.2 "Jellybean"
c) CWM 6.0.3.1
d) Hyperdrive Rls14 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36897687
I followed ur instructions on how to install this down to the last word and the following problems arose:
1) Dropbox and Tango both installed both are force closing as soon as you try to open them.
2)I selected Tunein through the aroma installer and it didn't install.
Now I didn't see any errors while running the installer which is a good thing.
I will see if I can find a solution for the problems I mentioned and update you with what I get.
Update:After trying to fix the above problems by wiping data and cache for Dropbox and Tango I realized that Tunein showed up in my /data/app folder just that it didn't install completely. So I ran the installer again without uninstall the 3 apps and just selecting Dropbox, Tango and Tunein. Now Dropbox didn't install completely, Tango doesn't work again and gives me Error 62; and Tunein installed fine this time.
Update 2:After many attempts to get Dropbox and Tango to work they never did. So I extract those 2 apps and installed them manually and they worked.

Did you uninstall any conflicting apps and delete app data for them before installing this?
I'll download your ROM and look to see if something is conflicting with this aroma package to be sure.
Dropbox is the one I'm not surprised by the trouble. Tango shouldn't give any issues, but I'll check it out. TuneIn is a script error, and should be fixed in the next update.

Ok. Well, I'll check out the ROM.zip as soon as it's finished.
Check in /data/app and see if TuneIn.apk is in there. It may just not be showing up in your app drawer.

The log shows a successful installation. The script for those two apps may need to be tweaked since most Touchwiz ROMs have dropbox included. Tango has me completely stumped, though. It should be working flawlessly.
Although it should not matter, the only thing I can think of that would be preventing then from showing up would be the recovery. TWRP is what I do all my testing on, and is what my scripting is based on. CWM should handle all the scripting just fine, though, so I really don't know.

[ROM][I9505][AROMA] Samy Deluxe ROM - True Sound of Liberty (1.6.2015)

Thank you for your continuous interest in my work. I am happy to announce a new updated version of my Samy Deluxe ROM but please do not expect new versions on a daily basis. I release whenever I feel like and there is no masterplan or schedule I follow. As the Clash said, “the future is unwritten”, which means this could be the last Samy Deluxe update, or another step towards my world domination plan. Who knows?
First Samy Deluxe Release based on Android 5.0 Lollipop
This latest release is finally based on Android Lollipop but still fully adheres to my Samy Deluxe principles. No fancy-bull**** tweaks, no super-secret sauce is included, every element is straight to the point. It includes many (read carefully: not all!) Galaxy S6 features and apps, because I strongly believe this is what Samsung should have brought to all of its devices instead of forcing people to upgrade their hardware twice a year whenever Samsung releases a new flagship smartphone.
Since I am not a developer I haven’t been able to fully port all existing Galaxy S6 features. There are things missing which I am not able to fix.
I am also not including detailed instructions on how to flash this onto your Galaxy S4 because most people will not read it. If you were able to successfully flash a prior Samy Deluxe ROM version you will be able to do so again.
I installed the ROM pretty much like everybody else does. I copied the file to the internal disk, rebooted into recovery, went through the AROMA-Installer and kept my fingers crossed afterwards for a while since the very first boot up process takes an endless time.
I encourage everybody to take and modify this in every possible way and I neither don’t mind if you credit it or not, nor can I control what you are doing. Even though I must admit that I have some advanced mind control skills that will probably trick you into keep coming back here on a daily basis.
Or, to make a long story short: Use it!
Samy Deluxe ROM Questions & Answers
Do I have to full wipe before installation?
Yes, most probably you will get some errors so a full wipe (can be done via Aroma Installer) is recommended.
Do I have to flash a bootloader or modem?
Please use a Lollipop bootlader and modem if you encounter errors. Which one doesn't matter. Do not ask where to get them or how to flash. This is a development thread. Seak assistance in an appropriate thread - there is plenty of help here at XDA but you want everything directly served to you. Well, sorry but this is a "bring your own beer party"!
How often will you release updates and fixes?
Definitely maybe.

Using Samy Deluxe ROMs will make you sexier. In case you are sexy enough I would urge you not to use this ROM.
Apart from Samy Deluxe ROM, there are a ton of other great releases and I would always recommend using the one that fits your needs best, no matter what the name is.

Errors are likely to be there. This is still due to its nature a work in progress. However, before posting, read if the issue hasn't already been mentioned.

After you choose "install zip" it is an option twoard the bottom. Uncheck that.

Also don't go back to 4.3?

I don't know about original 4.3 builds, all I can say is that I switched between 4.3 and 4.4 custom ROMs without a problem, but AGAIN: I don't know about official builds/stock odin packages.

Hello there , Did you use @friedrich420 rom as base mate? and why arent you giving him any credit or something. or your part of hes team? hehe and Sound setting is Fcing when i try to change the volume

I did use the SecSettings.apk that was posted here a couple of days ago. I credited the thread starter. If that was taken from somewhere else I am sorry and will credit as stated in my first post.
Volume works fine here and is no issue so I guess you must have dirty flashed or something.
